Chester Pride 2019 will go ahead, here’s the new date

Chester Pride is pleased to announce a rescheduled date of Sunday 22nd of September thanks to some incredible work achieved in 6 days by the Chester Pride volunteer committee, Cheshire West & Chester Council and our Service Providers.

A full program of events is currently being finalised working towards recreating our original concept including the Bank of America Parade from 12 noon till 1 pm through the heart of the city returning back to castle square where the M&S Bank Main stage will open the event, further information will be announced on Social Media in the coming weeks. The support shown by the community and local business has been truly fantastic and shows a love for Chester Pride.

Due to the met office weather warnings and advice from all associated providers, the event had to be rescheduled. The wind speeds were monitored on-site on the day, which confirmed in the interest of public safety, the appropriate course of action was taken. A Go Fund Me page was created to help towards unforeseen costs incurred and cover losses from insurance complications due to rescheduling the date.

There will be a Chester Pride 2019, however, the viability of future pride events is in question, therefore the continued support of the community and our sponsors is still greatly needed. To further show your support please donate online at

Updates on Chester Pride will be posted first on the site or on our social media sites.
