Norwich celebrates its ninth annual Pride event this weekend.
After months of planning and preparation, Norwich Pride will take place this Saturday 29th July! The annual event which celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community of Norwich and Norfolk is in its ninth successful year.
What time does Norwich Pride begin?
Norwich Pride officially opens at 10:00 am at The Forum on Millennium Plain where the Chair of Pride will say a few words as part of the opening ceremony, which will include a performance from the much-loved Sing with Pride choir. The event closes at 5.00 pm after the Pride Live Show in Chapelfield Gardens but will continue into the night at the many venues around Norwich.
Is there a parade?
Yes. People are asked to start forming up for the parade from 12 pm on St Peters Street, where – at 12.45 pm there will be speeches made before the parade sets off at 1.00 pm. Following the success of the new route in 2016, the march will go through Bedford St and London St, people will arrive in Chapelfield Gardens at around 2.00 pm, ready for the Pride Live Show!

What does Norwich Pride cost?
Pride is FREE to attend for all, however, it costs over £10,000 to put on each year so donations are kindly asked for via their website here or on the day. Your donations will help run the festival for years to come. Thank you.
What entertainment will there be at Norwich Pride?
There’s a full line up of artists including local and global talent taking to the main stage. DJ Carl will keep the crowds jumping while the popular Pride Question Time takes place inside the Big Top.
