Weston-Super-Mare is to play host to its very own pride at the end of July – here is everything you need to know

To celebrate LGBTQ life in Weston-Super-Mare, there will be a two-day pride event in the seaside town on the 28th and 29th July 2018. This will be the fifth annual parade for Weston-Super-Mare.

Is there a Parade for Weston-Super-Mare Pride?


Yes, there is a parade for Weston-Super-Mare Pride. It takes places at 11 AM on the 28th July, starting at Knightstone Island. The parade will continue down the seafront, then turn right on to Regent Street, then left onto the High Street and eventually end up in Grove Park for the main event.

Anyone who wants to take part in the parade should arrive by 10:30 AM.

The Weston-Super-Mare Pride parade takes place on the 28th July at 11 AM. Organisers are suggesting that people who are taking part in the parade turn up at least 30 minutes before the march begins.

Is Weston-Super-Mare Pride free to attend?


The parade itself is free to watch but the entertainment in the park is ticketed. The pride takes place over two days. The first day’s event takes place in Grove Park from midday and entry costs as little as £3 for concessions and £5 full price. Tickets for both days cost £10.

Is there an after party for Weston-Super-Mare Pride?

Yes, on the Saturday there is an exotic themed after party at the Winter Gardens. Tickets cost £5 in advance and will be £10 on the door. Harry Hard, Soraya Vivian, Smashby, Fanny Burns, Adam All, Miss Jason and Austin Armacost are all scheduled to perform at the after party.


The after party starts at 8 PM and goes on until 4 AM.

Who is performing at Weston-Super-Mare pride?


On Saturday in Grove Park there will be performances from The Fizz (Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston and Mike Nolan) Allan Jay, The Voice‘s Jordan Gray, X Factor’s Sam Callahan, Lloyd Daniels and CBB’s Austin Armacost. There will also be  Kylie and P!nk tribute acts as well as a variety of entertainers. All hosted by Fanny Burns.

On Sunday, there will be music, comedy, arts and culture hosted by Jordan Gray. With Lipinski headlining and special guest performance from Sian Evans (formerly of Kosheen).
