David Cameron booed at Pride

The UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron was giving short thrift at London’s pride event after thousands boo and jeer the video message pre-recorded for the event.

David Cameron’s voice was drowned out at points by the booing and jeering of thousands of people at yesterday’s pride event in London. Thousands of people standing in Trafalgar Square shouted “off off off” and booed as a pre-recorded video from the PM was played to revellers.

David Cameron, who helped bring LGBT+ equality to the UK announced earlier Friday morning that he is to step down after the UK voted to leave the European Union.

The Prime Minister said that he would not leave for another 3 months, but said that the country needed “fresh leadership.”

Shouting from the front of the audience Pride attendees stuck their middle fingers and shouted “off off off” repeatedly as the pre-recorded message from Cameron spoke about standing in solidarity with Orlando and paying tribute to the 49 victims of the Pulse Massacre in Orlando earlier this month.
