Thousands of spectators and participants brought Cardiff city centre to a standstill for the annual Pride Parade.
The annual pride parade, which took route through the centre of Cardiff, marks the 30th anniversary of LGBT marches in Cardiff, with over a thousand people marching in the sun. Pride Cymru is Wales’ largest annual celebration of equality and diversity.
The parade commenced from Churchill Way and progressed through Queen Street and St Mary Street.
The parade had to be diverted due to an incident according to a Pride Cymru official and so arrived at Cooper’s Field earlier than expected.
John Sanderson, from Cardiff, who attended the pride said,
“It’s much nicer in Cooper’s Field, there’s so much more space. One year it was in the Stadium and it felt like we were cooped in. Cooper Field gives us so much more room, much more open…”
