Warwickshire Pride to take us back to the 90s with Kavana headlining the festival

To celebrate it’s fifth year, Warwickshire Pride have called upon 90s pop star Kavana to entertain the crowds in Leamington Spa this summer.

As well as a string of hits under his belt Kavana has made recent appearances in ITV’s The Big Reunion and Ch5’s Celebrity Big Brother. Warwickshire Pride’s chair, Daniel Browne said,

“Warwickshire Pride returns to the Pump Room Gardens this August and will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the decriminilisation of homosexuality in England. As part of this year’s Pride celebrations, we are thrilled to announce Kavana as one of our headline acts.

“We strive to book at least one well-known performer each year to give local people the opportunity to enjoy some great, free entertainment, and in keeping with that we are excited to be welcoming a performer who has enjoyed huge success with hit singles and a successful stage career.

“This year’s festival is looking to be the best yet, with kind support from Leamington Town Council and one of our sponsors, Mister V, being on board for the third year in a row. There are certainly more big announcements to come as the festival draws closer and we look forward to welcoming everyone in August.”

Warwickshire Pride 2017 will take place on Saturday 19th August at the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington Spa. The charity is currently welcoming performance applications from local artists and also inviting local businesses to get involved as a festival partner.
