What kind of stories is THEGAYUK interested in?

  • If you think your story would interest the gay community then we’d love to hear from you. Our remit is to cover anything that is LGBT+ in the UK.
  • Send press releases in the body of your email – please do not send word documents.
  • Pictures should be royalty free and come with the photo credits. THEGAYUK is not responsible for copyrighted material.

What isn’t THEGAYUK interested in?

Just products that you’re hocking… If we’re doing a review feature we’ll put our media requests via the normal outlets. If you wish to know which ones these are please call the newsdesk.

Will you add our link to your article?

Sure we can, if it adds to the user’s experience. Broken links can be updated if you let us know about them.

Do you accept press trips?

We do! Please send your information through the Newsdesk form. Please do not approach individual writers offering opportunities. All requests must go through editorial.

Do you review restaurants?

Yes, we do. Please contact Newsdesk for details.

Can we send you some product to review?

We love products, please do send. To get our mailing address please send your request through the newsdesk. Sending us your product does not automatically mean we’ll publish a review about it.

Can we get the product back?

Unfortunately not. Products sent to will not be returned unless there’s been a specific agreement. You can read our review terms and conditions here. All returns must be paid for by the marketer or PR. THEGAYUK is not responsible for handling, shipping or any costs. We will not send back any products that have been used in conjunction with our systems (i.e. computer/tech) this is due to data protection issues. Due to health and safety we will not send back personal clothing items, such as underwear/swimwear or other personal items. We will also not accept any items that have been previously used for personal use.

Will you sign a disclaimer or contract?

No, is not responsible for any products sent to our office.

How do I get my product back?

Unless you’ve organised with editorial, prior to sending out any product, it is not possible to get items sent back.

What if I missed my send back/ postal slot?

Any items not claimed by 6 months after initial shipping will be entered into our year-end tombola competition.
