  • Liam Payne “Not Homophobic” In Any “Shape or Form”

Boy-bander Liam Payne has addressed concerns that he his homophobic after comments he made at a concert

One Direction’s Liam Payne, has once again been forced to address concerns that he is homophobic. In a Twitter statement he said,

“I am in no way shape or form homophobic that’s a ridicules (sic) thing to say and I’m not here to offend people so take it as you will,”

The singer was making an introduction to the song Girl Almighty, which apparently appeared to be a little too heteronormative, seemingly suggesting that perhaps only gay men were in the audience, and sparked a fierce online debate on whether what he said was anti-gay.

    On stage he said,

“This is my favourite song off the last album, and it is about trying to find that number one woman of your life, which none of you can relate to, ’cause most of you are girls. Except for the boys in here, you know what I’m talking about,”

Clearly annoyed by the possibility of being called homophobic Payne went on to say in his Twitter post,

“So annoying trying your hardest to make people happy in a show and you think about all the notes u tried to hit higher or a little sweeter

“And all some people want to concentrate on was a throw away statement about a song that I love (sic)’

Last year Payne was accused of homophobia after tweeting his support of the Duck Dynasty family and their “family values.”

In September the One Director star strongly denied that a “weird” video showing two men having sex was not of him and another man.

    He said,

”I’m 100% not homophobic, but I’m also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I’m gunna say I’m not which does not make me a homophobe.’

  • Liam Payne insists it not him having “WERID” gay sex on Twitter

One Direction star Liam Payne has strongly denied that a video showing two men having sex is NOT him.

The twittersphere is alive with rumours about One Direction’s Liam Payne’s sexuality, after a Vine video was uploaded which alleged that one of the men in the video was Liam Payne.

Payne has strongly denied this claims, by tweeting, some have called offensively, ”Wow, as if people think that weird photo going around is actually me,’ he wrote. ‘I think I’d rather tweet a full frontal than have people look at that.’

After a number of people calling him out on his use of the word ‘weird’ Payne was forced to add, ”I’m 100% not homophobic,’ Payne tweeted. ‘But I’m also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I’m gunna say I’m not which does not make me a homophobe.’

  • NEWS: Liam Payne Hits Out After ‘Pro’ Duck Dynasty Tweet

The One Direction star Liam Payne has officially gone into Twitter melt down after tweeting his support to Duck Dynasty family.

Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson caused outrage in December when in an interview with GQ magazine he described homosexuality as a ‘sin’ and ‘not logical’ and compared it to bestiality.

Liam Payne wrote to Robertson’s father Willie Robertson saying:

“huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. big fan.”

    FREEDOM OF SPEECH?

The supportive tweet to the Duck Dynasty clan has landed Payne into hot water with the star adding insult to injury by slamming journalists and hope for a ‘freedom of speech law.’

Instead of apologising for any offense he may have caused Payne tweeted:

‘Being a fan of someones show and the way they still hold a family together doesnt mean i am ok with all they say.

‘Oh my god can someone literally not be a fan if a show without bring labeled?’

‘I just watched a show and I liked it as most people do,’

    SLAMMING JOURNALISTS

Last year, fellow XFactor contestant James Arthur found himself in a media meltdown after using a gay slur in a dissing rap. This must have been on Payne’s mind – when he tweeted about the potential repercussions of his pro Robertson tweet.

‘Sick of all this bull il be back again when the freedom of speech law is back and people don’t believe to much into the bulls#!t they read

‘Can’t wait for the call tomorrow where I get told of for cussing had to be said like I said before much worse has happened In the world

‘Pick ur balls up off the floor and get on with it instead of taking advantage of every word said and twisting it for your own gain’

    DEATH THREATS?

One of the first gay right’s campaigners to take issue with Payne’s tweet was Tyler Oakley, who Tweeted:

Wow. Very confused and disappointed by this @Real_Liam_Payne tweet. This literally changes everything…

However, within hours Oakley took to Twitter to say he was quitting for a while after receiving death threats from One Direction fans.

Tyler Oakley is an American YouTube personality and advocates for gay youth, presenting on topics such as queer politics and pop culture.

Last year Perez Hilton came under attack in a similar move from a ‘fandom’ when Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters threatened the Hollywood blogger.

  • Boy George clashes with One Direction’s Liam Payne

Ah celebrity feuds – usually they’re dull, but when Boy George chooses his victim – he doesn’t do it by halves.

Boy George, who is currently pushing his new album This Is What I Do and tour, has rebooted a Twitter feud between himself and the One Direction camp.

He made the comments during One Direction’s appearance on X Factor over the weekend (15th December 2013)

“Liam looked quite….messy!!” the 52-year-old tweeted, then added: ‘Harry looked like a young Keith Richards!’

Later Liam Payne responded by asking ‘Who Is boy George?’

Boy George couldn’t leave it there, by taking a swipe at Directioners (which is never a good idea) by adding:
‘Directioner’s are mostly the dullest creatures on earth! Add salt!’

To which about a billion Directioners began a Twitter assault on the Culture Club singer. (that’s a lie, there aren’t a billion Directioners… only 999,999,999 of them.)

Earlier in the year Boy George had suggested that at the odds were at least one of One Direction had to be gay.
