  • NEWS: James Arthur Texts Lucy Spraggan ‘Real’ People Don’t Care

James Arthur Texts Lucy Spraggan an abusive tirade and accuses her of being a ‘gay activist’ and real people didn’t care about his ‘queer’ rap.

James Arthur’s tweets may now be managed by his PR company, but he hasn’t relinquished those powers to his texting after Lucy Spraggan, who is openly gay, shared texts sent to her from the singer who is now mired in controversy.

The text to the Tea and Toast singer, who shared the message via Twitter, said:

‘Lucy what are you playing at having digs at me?

‘Is it coz you’re a gay rights activist you had to say something as extreme as “people kill themselves every day over words like queer” are you for real?

‘You not think you’re being a bit over the top? Do you want attention or something? Sorry I didnt tweet you’re album link I’ve been busy but you didn’t need to be so two faced [all sic].’

He then told her to ‘f**k off’ with her ‘career sh**e’ and then said: ‘Real people don’t care.’

To which Spraggan replied with a text saying:

‘Real people are people you a**ehole.’

The text Ping-Pong ended with Arthur suggesting that Spraggan was ‘two faced’ and should ‘disappear’ to which she suggested: ‘I think you’ll do that far before I do.’

    She then tweeted:

‘And that was tweeted because it has to be f**king said. Dick.’

James Arthur momentarily took control of his Twitter account to tweet:

‘Keep the witch hunt coming motherf**kers. Be a sheep or do some homework. I’m off again lol #LOVE enjoy HQ gettin my lyrics wrong 😉 x’

Arthur who won last year’s X Factor has apologised to the gay community after an argument on Twitter in which he used the homophobic slur ‘You F**king Queer’ in a rap.

The singer was responding to an underground rapper, Micky Worthless, who criticised Arthur’s decision to enter X Factor in 2012. Arthur responded with a rap which included the gay slur, ‘You f**king queer’.

  • BEN COHEN: Shows Off Underwear

Move over Becks there’s a new Bulge in town as Ben Cohen shows off new underwear range.

Shirtless, gay icon and Strictly contestant, Ben Cohen is making a stir with his new range of undies – which come in a variety of colours and bulges – sorry just trying to keep our minds on the task of writing this up. Bulge. Sorry, there it goes again…

    So the press release reads:

The range features Bluebuck’s traditional trio of styles – brief, boxer and trunk – and subtly updates with trim in turquoise and white, to represent the StandUp colours. It also features the high quality fit and feel the brand has come to be known for, all produced in the environmentally responsible manner that lies at the brand’s core.

Since launching in 2010 Bluebuck has proved it is an underwear brand with a conscience. Using the cleanest of energy sources to manufacture their products in Europe and choosing land rather than air to transport goods and raw materials, the brand is proud to avoid the far-flung supply chains favoured by others.

Ben’s love of outdoor sports and dedication to his StandUp Foundation makes for a perfect match with Bluebuck’s values of outdoor adventures, men being men and climate friendly production.

  • James Arthur Apologises For ‘F**king Queer’ Slur

James Arthur Apologises For ‘F**king Queer’ Slur

James Arthur who won last year’s X Factor has apologised to the gay community after an argument on Twitter in which he used the homophobic slur ‘You F**king Queer’ in a rap.

  • LISTEN: James Arthur’s Homophobic Rap

A YouTube Clip Has emerged of James Arthur’s homophobic slur ‘You F**king Queer’ in a rap.

The singer was responding to an underground rapper, Mickey Worthless, who criticised Arthur’s decision to enter X Factor in 2012. Arthur responded with a rap which included the gay slur, ‘You f**king queer’.

We managed to track down an alleged version of the rap, in which you can hear the slur at 3:10

The track which is not authorised by Sony, contains the lyrics:

‘You probably want to put your stinky dick in me… you f**king queer.’

    And

    ‘Hey Mickey what a pity, you don’t understand – I’ll do 20 minutes and I’m making 20 grand… I am a genuine talent, I am not a brand’.

In a tweet the Impossible singer said:

‘I just have to say I’m extremely disappointed in myself for being so naive with the diss track I made for an unknown rapper recently..

‘Some of the things said in this rap can be mistaken for homophobic slurs and I assure you homophobia is something I do not believe in

‘I have many many gay friends. In rap feuds/rap disses the words I used have a different intent. This is a straight man I was attacking

‘A straight man who littered his track with severe homophobic slurs towards me.. Like I said though it was a rap diss ..

‘And in no way a reflection of my true character.. I’ve heard I’ve offended Matt Lucas who’s work I have always admired and that is a blow.

‘Deeply deeply sorry to any gay or lesbian people out there.

‘Plus Rylan is one of my best mates and he is as gay as they come! #LOVE’

He then went on to explain further:

‘Any offence I have caused by using the term ‘queer’ in my rap battle with MC Worthless… would just like to make it completely clear that it was not meant in anyway as a reference to homosexuality.

‘I realise where the term has come from in meaning.. but used in the context of the rap battles I have grown up with it has come to mean something completely different..

‘That said, I understand why it could cause offence and that definitely wasn’t my intention.”

‘Learnt a lot this year. Hurt a lot this year. F**ked up a lot this year. Loved a lot this year. Lost a lot this year. Roll on 2014. #LOVE’

And he then suggested that the controversial rap was not his only regret from this year.

The singer is currently promoting his new single Recovery.

Today James Arthur officially quit Twitter saying that his HQ would now take care of his social media, after an explosive public feud with Frankie Boyle.

MSNBC suspends Alec Baldwin’s late night show

MSNBC has yanked Alec Baldwin’s show off the air for 2 weeks following an incident earlier in the week

Yesterday GLAAD accused 30 Rock Actor, Alec Baldwin of ‘Degrading Gay People’ after video footage emerged which showed him using an F word. The actor insists the word he used was ‘Fathead’.

In the video the 30 Rock actor is heard calling a photographer a ‘cksucker’ although a media storm has been created after it was suggested that Baldwin actually called a photographer a ‘Cksucking F*g head’. Baldwin is insisting that he said ‘Fathead’ and has threatened to sue TMZ for suggesting that he used a homophobic word.

Baldwin said that acoustic analysis of the recording proves the word said was ‘fathead.’

However MSNBC have pulled his new show Up Late With Alec Baldwin for 2 weeks, in a post on MSNBC.com the network shared a personal statement from Baldwin, in which he addresses the comments he made in the week.

‘I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have – and for that I am deeply sorry. Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward. What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understand “Up Late” will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week.

I want to apologize to my loyal fans and to my colleagues at msnbc – both for my actions and for distracting from their good work. Again, please accept my apology.’

MSNBC has not given any reason to why it has suspended the show – nor has responded to requests for comment.

Baldwin took his own Tweet feed to reply:

‘If c’sucker offends, then I apologize. Anti-gay? Never.’

He later delete that message and offered:

  • Apple’s and Oxford University Press dictionary defines gay as “foolish” and “stupid”

Apple’s dictionary lists the word ‘gay’ to mean Foolish and Stupid in software found on its computer operating systems.

The computer and Smartphone giant has landed itself in hot water after it was discovered that the word gay is described in its dictionary as Foolish and Stupid.

The description was found after a 15 year-old student in Massachusetts in the US discovered the pejorative use of the word gay during an assignment for school. The student, Becca Gorman has started a campaign to ask Apple to remove the offensive definition reports the MetroWest Daily News.

In a letter to the company, Becca Gorman, whose parents are lesbians, asked Apple’s CEO Tim Cook to remove the informal explanation.

“I assume that you are a pro-gay company, and would never intend for any one of your products to be as offensive as this definition was.’ Gorman wrote.

“Even with your addition of the word informal, this definition normalises the terrible derogatory twist that many people put on the word ‘gay’.”

Within an hour a representative called Ms Gorman:

“They told me it’s so hard to track the dictionaries they’re getting sources from, and that they were also shocked themselves.”

Apparently, Apple sources its Dictionary’s from four different sources.

Speaking to TheGayUK a spokesperson for the company said:

“We license our content from the Oxford University Press, which is acknowledged in our preferences panel within the app.”

In June this year a petition drew attention to an app available on Apple’s app store, Setting Captives Free, which offered users a ‘gay cure’. The app was removed from the app store within 24 hours after 50,000 people signed the petition.

The Oxford University Press (OUP) Dictionary also defines the word gay as foolish, stupid, or unimpressive, however the OUP uses the caveat: ‘informal, often offensive’

The British English Dictionary within the Dictionary App does not contain the Stupid or Foolish definition.

  • I Can’t Sing Musical, throws serious shade at Geri Halliwell

We don’t know how we feel about this but lyrics from the new musical I Can’t Sing throw shade at Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

Producers of a new show which is due to open in London next year have released a video in which Geri Halliwell is referenced. The song is called I can’t sing. Geri Halliwell is a former guest judge on the show.

The song is called “I can’t sing”. Geri Halliwell is a former guest judge on the show.

The show has been written by Harry Hill and Steve Brown and is due to open next year at the London Palladium.
At one point the lead singer sings,
    “I had no idea, I didn’t think I could,

Thought i made Geri Halliwell sound good.”

Tsk Tsk… Now now, you know you shouldn’t be putting down Lady Halliwell like that.

I CAN’T SING! goes behind the microphones and under the judges’ desks at the biggest show on earth, and exposes the (allegedly) true story behind The X Factor — a gloriously twisted tale of naked ambition, heartache, hunchbacks and talking dogs.
