Streaming service Deezer has released the most streamed DQs from the show and here they are

      1. Adore Delano
      2. Alaska Thunderf*ck
      3. Trixie Mattel
      4. Jinkx Monsoon
      5. Bob the Drag Queen

Adore Delano, whose career all started in music, having already starred in American Idol, has released three albums since her time on the show.

Her song, “I Adore You” tops the chart as the most listened to song.

Since the beginning of season 10 of RPDR, RuPaul has also had a bump in streams. The most listened to tracks from Ru are:

  • INTERVIEW | Adore Delano

The popularity of drag in recent years can be attributed, at least in part, to Ru Paul and his resurgence as the face of Drag Race.

I remember him as the face that launched Super Model, appearing as something of an anomaly amongst the big haired, slightly portly drag queens I’d seen down the local gay bar – a quick quip and a nasty put down amongst the flat lager and the hi-energy pop. He arrived, shook the drag world up and then he seemed to disappear…

For me, Drag Race was a slow burner, a programme I didn’t “race” to watch but when it appeared on my Netflix timeline, I thought “Oh, why not?” and instantly got hooked. From Season 1 onwards, I watched it all, drama, crisis and laughter – but never felt that enthralled?

And then it exploded, Season 6 of Drag Race seems to have been the one where we got the real characters, the divas, the comedy and the voices.

And although Bianca Del Rio won, the top 3 all had different talents, and very different personalities. Bianca came across as the queen of quips and put downs, the one you want to read you, and god knows she was, and still is wonderful.
Courtney Act came over all “big down under” and had a heart, somewhere – but with a voice that could knock your Birkenstocks off! And that body? I had a hard time explaining that this woman was a man!

And then we come to Adore Delano, to paraphrase Pricilla….she’s a cock in a frock and she rocks!!!

She doesn’t do the clichéd music, she doesn’t look pretty, pretty – she’s edgy and boy can she rock a tune as well as a dress.

I got a chance to have a quick chat with the lady herself, and she kept me in stitches – she’s interesting and funny and totally talented.

With catchphrases such as “party”, “Chola”, “Libra”. “Fk”, “st”, “c**t”…she was sure to win an audience over.

Born Daniel Anthony Noriega back in 1989 in Azusa, California, her Wiki page lists her occupation as Drag queen, singer, YouTube personality, television personality – and she does all of these so well.

I asked her how she came into drag?

“I was heavily influenced by Pete Burns in high School, loved dressing up and altering my look.”

With the Pete Burns reference, I asked if she’d ever consider surgery later in life:

“F**k yeah! I want the lot!”

Review her performance on Drag Race, and watch as she blossoms under the guidance and feedback from both co-stars and mentors.

I asked her about that entrance, what it was like to be the first into that big pink room:

“They made me do that twice – the first time, they told me there were others in there and there weren’t!”

I also asked about the underwear – those of you who’ve watched it might remember her sitting on the chair and swinging her legs over the arm – only to comment that she wasn’t wearing any underwear!

One comment Michelle Visage constantly made was about Adore cinching her waist, and this led to Adore dubbing her body a “hog body”. I asked her about this, and as she said: “I cinch when I’m doing girlie stuff but not all the time”.

Another Drag Race comment was around her not being able to sew and make her own outfits like some of the other contestants, and her wardrobe wasn’t as vast or varied as others but what she had she rocked, and when she did create something, it blew them away (hint: that little punk number that reminded me of Hazel O’Connor in Breaking Glass).

When asked about her sewing skills, she commented that her style of stage drag doesn’t always need sewing skills, and as her style is rock chic, you can understand this.

I asked her how her style has changed over time, and with the notoriety that Drag Race has given her:

“I used to dress like the other girls in town – and now I do that but wear more expensive t-shirts!”

We then turned to her stage show, the bread and butter stuff that now makes the bucks. She’s about to bring this to the UK, and I asked what we could expect in terms of content:

“I’m trying to showcase different songs, so there’ll be some form the current album (see below) and also I love doing covers so expect some of these too.”

And with that voice, if you’re lucky enough to have tickets for the UK dates, you’re in for a treat.

I asked her about that now infamous Starbucks ad with Bianca Del Rio, an ad that perfectly utilises their individual skills and styles.

“It was filmed in Canada and I didn’t think it was real so I turned up with no make-up.” And yet it’s one of the best ads I’ve seen!

In these days of mass social media, I asked if she had controlled her own media feed:

“I have direct input, it’s a way of communicating that we haven’t had before.”

It is refreshing to meet an entertainer who has some control over the social output we’ve come to expect from our stars.

And finally, what’s next for Adore:

“I’m working on a new album, writing new material and hoping to get it all finished for summer this year.”

  • Starbuck Ventures In To Marketing Towards Gay Community

A hilarious new viral ad campaign from the World’s biggest coffee shop chain, Starbuck to target the gay community.

      • The brand new ad features Ru Paul’s Drag Race 6 stars Adore Delano and Bianca Del Rio.
      • The clip is called Coffee Frenemies
      • Originally released with OUTTv

After hearing the details for her full-on day job Adore Delano, spots a coffee shop and goes inside only to find a queue. She asks a number of people in line if she can sneak ahead – that is until she meets with Drag Race winner, Bianca Del Rio, who swiftly rebuffs her request at jumping, but not before ordering a Skinny Latte Extra Foam from the counter.

Just before Bianca goes nuclear on Adore, coffee is served and thus the World is saved for another day.

Starbucks is the latest in highstreet brands and high profile names targeting the gay community a very profitable business – as in the UK – the LGBT+ community is worth over £96 BILLION alone.

Natwest, Coca-Cola and Chevrolet are just some of the big brands to tap into the market, with big budget commercials.

Last year Coca-Cola was praised for the inclusion of a gay male married couple in a campaign called Reasons To Believe, however, the company was later criticised for removing the couple from the Irish version of the advert.

  • Watch Adore Delano’s “Stalker”

RuPaul’s Drag Race runner-up and former American Idol contestant Adore Delano releases the fourth single from her best selling album, Till Death Do Us Party, this Friday.

‘It’s a cutesy, crazy, fun, song with an ironic psycho edge’, says Adore Delano of Hello, I Love You. Like all the songs on Till Death Do Us Party, the song is based on experiences from her own life. ‘I was fatally attracted to a guy named Greg Ahern in high school. I cut his picture out of my brother’s yearbook and I would stalk him during his wrestling practices.’

‘When it comes to finding love, I can be aggressive,’ she admits. ‘I can also be a gentle pussycat. It all depends on the person I’m in love with… and if I ate that day or not.’

Fans love Adore’s unapologetic psychosis. She regularly throws herself into the audience at shows to surf the crowd. She says it allows her to get closer to fans. ‘It’s like getting a giant hug from everyone all at once. I adore the adoration.’

She’s even made a few love connections on tour. ‘I think I’m falling in love with a boy I met at a show in Australia,’ she says. ‘He’s magical.’

And if he doesn’t reciprocate the love, that’s fine too. ‘I’ll cry about it for two days and then find a cute twink on Jack’d to forget about him.’

Adore Delano won the hearts of millions, clawing her way to the Top 3 on this past season’s RuPaul’s Drag Race. With ferocious performances and her patented biting attitude, the teenage queen of wigs n’ cigs went on to conquer three challenges, tying Bianco Del Rio with most episode wins.

She wasn’t new to reality television, having competed on season 7 of American Idol as her male persona, Danny Noriega. ‘I never felt so in drag than when I was out of drag’, she says of her American Idol experience. ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race gave me the opportunity to express myself and to become a role model for those who don’t necessarily fit in.’

‘I represent the new queens, the weirdos, the unpolished,’ she says. ‘I stand for those who have been told ‘you can’t do this.’ I’m here to say, ‘you can’.’

Adore Delano is proof of it. Her Till Death Do Us Party album logged the biggest sales week of any Drag Race competitor, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Dance/Electronic Albums and at No. 59 on the Billboard 200.

Her single, I Adore U, also debuted on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at No. 49 and on the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart at No. 34.

Adore Delano is currently touring the world, promoting the new album. She especially loves how strongly fans are relating to Hello, I Love You. ‘It’s the song they all seem to know the words to. I guess it’s a message we can all relate with. Whether we’ve been the predator or the one being preyed upon, most have experienced some crazy love.’

‘There was this one guy in high school who thought I was a girl and wouldn’t leave me alone for like the whole year,” she recalls. “Eventually, I told him I had a penis and he backed off.’

Produced by Killingsworth Recording Company, Hello, I Love You follows DTF, I Adore U, and Party, Delano’s first three smashes that helped catapult her album to the #1 spot on the iTunes dance charts earlier this summer. The album also climbed to #11 on the overall album charts. Along with the single, a brand new music video featuring Adore in all her cotton-candied gloriousness is being released. Hello, I Love You is available for purchase now on iTunes and all major online retailers.
