    You may know Adam Henson from BBC’s Countryfile, but in real life what is his relationship status and is he gay, bisexual or straight?

    Adam Henson is the presenter of the BBC’s Countryfile, which started all the way back in 2001. He applied for the presenter job when the BBC were doing a star search for the newly created show. He won out against 3500 other applicants. He now presents for a number of shows including, Countryfile Summer Diaries, Inside Out, On Your Farm, and Farming Today.

    He has published two books, Countryfile: Adam’s Farm: My life on the Land which was published in 2011 and the second book Like Farmer Like Son was released in 2016.

    No,apparently the 50-something-presenter Adam Henson isn’t married, but he is partnered with a woman called Charlotte Henson and together the couple have two children, Ella and Alfie. He revealed that he received numerous death threat against himself and his family over the issue of Badger Culling, which was featured on the BBC show.

    Is James Jordan gay, bisexual or straight?

    It’s a question that’s been doing the rounds, but James Jordan is married to Ola Grabowska so no, James isn’t gay, as he’s never spoken about being bisexual. The pair married in 2003 after meeting in 1999. They have yet to have any children from the marriage. They met during a dance competition in Blackpool. James apparently already had a girlfriend at the time. After a few years, James broke it off with his then girlfriend and Ola and he became an item. They lived in Hong Kong for a number of years teaching dance.

    During his time in Celebrity Big Brother 2014, he wasn’t impressed when actor Gary Busey made remarks about being butt fked. James tried to explain to Gary that he was not gay but had lots of gay friends and was comfortable enough in his sexuality to ‘camp it up’. Gary then asked James if he was afraid ‘to get butt-fed’ and James replied, “I’ve never hit a seventy-year-old before.”  ooo errr.

    Apart from Strictly Come Dancing, what other shows has James Jordan been in?

    Since appearing in Strictly James has become a bit of a reality TV King. Most famously in 2014 he appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and came third. He has also starred in Celebrity Total Wipeout and is a regular panellist on Channel 5 talk show The Wright Stuff. This year sees James starring in Dancing On Ice

    Before starring as one of the professional dancers in Strictly, James Jordan was working as a dance teacher in Hong Kong with his wife Ola. He joined Strictly in 2006 where he was partnered with Georgina Bouzova. They were the fourth couple to be eliminated. He left Strictly in 2014 after reports of a series of clashes with the show’s judge and tour director Craig Revel Horwood.

    The-Net-Worth.com has James’s wife, Ola’s net worth as £1.1 million.  The Daily Mail reckons that combine Ola and James earn £500,000 per year thanks to a deal with lingerie firm Ann Summers and various other projects including private dance lessons. The couple own a house reportedly worth £1.25 million.

    The winter weather can be hard on your outdoor equipment and structures so cast an eye over your sheds, greenhouses and hosepipes. Repair any obvious breakages and protect anything that looks like it might struggle over the next couple of months.

    Use well rotted compost or manure on your empty vegetable beds. You want the soil to be in tip-top condition when you come to plant things out. Dig the beds over to aerate the soil – but be careful, if the soil is frozen or waterlogged leave it alone until the weather improves.

    Clean Up

    When the planting season begins you won’t have time to do much else so make sure your pots, trays and tools are clean and organised ready for the busy times. You’ll feel so much better when your potting bench is dirt free and ready for action – even if it only stays that way for a short time!

    Make a plan

    With a cup of tea (it’s dry January remember) sit down with a good gardening book and get organised. Decide what you want to grow this year – learning from previous successes and mistakes – or if you’re totally new to the growing world then pick whatever you want, even if it just looks pretty! Order seeds and draw diagrams and I can guarantee it will set you up for a great year ahead.

    Sow Indoors

    Get a head start by sowing some seeds indoors. Try broad beans, salad leaves, spinach, leeks and onions for the healthy new you in 2014. Nothing tastes better than home-grown organic fruits and veg!

    Something New

    Try something new this year. If you like the idea of growing something unusual or for the first time, have a go. The gardening world is full of hints and tips on what to do – but going off piste can be the most rewarding part of growing your own produce.

    THEGAYUK Motoring Honours List for 2019

    2019 Motoring New Years Honours List

    2018 was quite a year for THEGAYUK motoring section. Two new contributors, Mark and Damien have joined and car choice from us, I hope, managed to whet your motoring appetites and curiosities. I think it is safe to say that 2019 will be an even bigger year so thanks for sticking with us.

    And so to my top three with an extra and that extra is my “almost ran”. That accolade goes to the Volvo XC60 Momentum Pro. It really was a car that did everything and impressed, was a great place to navigate the world from and what’s more, it’s a Volvo. There are no pretensions to the brand. It is Volvo.

    Now what I have noticed over the past years of doing my New Years Honours list is that this section seems to be the car that I would spend my own money on. So this is it, if it was my money, this is what I would buy. Well done Volvo.

    And so to my top 3 for 2019

    3) MG3.

    This might come as a bit of a shock to you, considering I wasn’t overly kind and awarded the little hopeful only 2 stars.

    I still stand by those two stars but only because of the engine. Take it outside of its comfort zone and it shows up as quite a rough unit with lacklustre performance. That said, use the MG3 with its 7-year warranty as a daily commute with a sporting look and in the stop-start traffic you’ll be stuck in, you’ll appreciate it as a device to keep you dry. And to be fair, it’s not an uncomfortable place to be in.

    2) Range Rover Sport

    This one shocked me. I wasn’t going to gush over the £75k Chelsea tractor but here it is, number two on my list. And why? Because it made you feel great. Land Rover has a following and despite the various quality issues they have from time to time, their followers are loyal to the core of the product. They feel good. A bit “not quite German” but with a passion built into the product.

    And it’s that passion that comes across in the way they make you feel. Add to that the confidence it has to go anywhere in the world, with 4 of your best mates, in luxury and comfort and you can see why I fell for it, hook, line and sinker.

    1) Honda Civic Type R

    What can I say about Honda’s road rocket that hasn’t already been said in my review and all the others who have also given the Civic Type R their accolade of the best hot hatch, best fast car, best all-around fast family car, phenomenal shopping shuttle, Practical hatchback. You get the gist. It is a great all-rounder.

    Speaking of rounder, you will eventually curb one of the black alloys that sit on band thin 20 walled tyres. And you will only want to put good tyres on it. That might detract from its running costs because chances are, if you are not respectful to its performance, you’ll go through those tyres pretty darn quick.

    But what a car. It has the performance to match supercars and pop you to the local curry house for take away.
