  • Actor Charlie Carver Has Come Out As Gay

    Former Desperate Housewives’ star Charlie Carver has come out as gay.

    You may well know Charlie as one of the naughty Scarvo twins on the (much missed) ABC hit Desperate Housewives, well now he’s come out as gay in a series of Instagram posts.

    After Desperate Housewives Charlie went on to star in Teen Wolf as Ethan, a gay character who made headlines when MTV aired the first gay kiss, between his character and Danny played by Keahu Kahuanui.

    The 27-year-old explained his worries about coming out in the entertainment industry a series of posts on Instagram.
    He said,

    “If I came out, I feared I would be limiting myself to a type, to a perception with limits that I was not professionally comfortable with.”

    “Things in this business have changed and will continue to.

    “I know that because of all of the brave men and women who’ve come out, self-identified, or couldn’t have possibly ever been ‘In’.

    “So to them, I am also forever grateful.”

     

    He took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support after he came out saying,

     

    “Blown away by the support and love! It was not a secret to many, but I felt it necessary to share (until coming out is a thing of the past)

    “Thank you for the kind words. I couldn’t do it without them. Much love xx”

  • Angie Bowie To Remain In Big Brother

    Angie Bowie has decided to stay in the Celebrity Big Brother house after hearing of her former husband’s death.

    LGBT advocate Angie Bowie has decided to stay inside Big Brother’s house after hearing of her former husband’s death. David Bowie died today after an 18-month battle with cancer.

    Angie and David were married from 1970 until 1980 and had one son together, the film director Duncan Jones.

    Angie Bowie was told about the singer’s passing off camera.

    A spokesperson for Channel 5 said,

    “Following the very sad news of David Bowie’s death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives. She has taken the decision to continue in the programme.

    “The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed.”

    Contestants in Big Brother are not allowed access to the outside world once they are inside the house.

    Whilst in the house Angie had admitted that she had not seen David in 40 years and in an interview with The Guardian in 2010 said she had not spoken to their son, Duncan, in 5 years, adding,

    ‘I think reconciliation is unlikely. He is nearly 40, and if he didn’t bother to find me till now it’s a bit late. There is nothing to say.”

    After Angie and David’s divorce it was David who had custody of Duncan.

  • Angie Bowie Still Unaware Of Bowie’s Death

    LGBT advocate Angie Bowie, who is currently starring in Celebrity Big Brother, is apparently still unaware of her former husband’s death.

    Angie Bowie has yet to be told about her former husband’s (David Bowie) death. The pair were married between 1970 and 1980.

    A spokesperson for Channel 5 said:

    “Following the very sad news of David Bowie’s death this morning, we can confirm that Angie Bowie will be informed off camera today.”

    David Bowie passed away today (11th January 2016) just days after his 69th birthday and the release of his latest album Blackstar.

    Their son, Duncan Jones, confirm the death of his legendary father via Twitter.

  • Jonathan Cheban Has Left The Big Brother House

    Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban Has Left The Big Brother House.

    Producers have confirmed that Jonathan Cheban has left the Big Brother house.

    A spokesperson confirmed his exit by saying, “Jonathan Cheban has decided to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House. His exit will appear in tomorrow night’s show on Channel 5 at 9pm.”

    The news comes just two days after Cheban had voiced his concerns about feeling comfortable in the house and suffering anxiety.

    In 2012 Cheban had his sexuality questioned by Kim and then-husband Kris Humprhries.

    Kris Humphries suggested that Jonathan might not be straight, which caused Kim to take matters into her own hands and ask the question outright, “What is your preference? Girls, guys, what?”

    Kim even had an entire episode of her reality show dedicated to the speculation about his sexuality, although Heavy.com notes that “We’ve never really gotten a solid answer.”

  • David Bowie Dies At 69

    David Bowie, the legendary singer, has passed away at the age of 69, his son, Duncan Jones, has confirmed.

    After an 18 month battle with cancer, David Bowie has died at the age of 69. His son, Duncan Jones confirmed the news. A statement on the singer’s website stated that Bowie had died peacefully surrounded by family.

    Bowie became famous in 1969 when he released Space Oddity which became a top 5 hit in the UK. After that Bowie became the master of reinvention.  He released 111 singles over 26 studio albums, with no less than 21 top 10 hits in the UK.

    His popularity grew as his career progressed having a resurgence and garnering a whole new legion of fans when he starred in the 1986 film Labyrinth.

    David Bowie’s sexuality was well documented and discussed. He came out as gay in 1972, two years into his marriage with Angie Bowie during an interview with Melody Maker.

    In 1976 he confirmed he was bisexual. Four year later in 1980 Angie Bowie and David divorced.

    By 1983 he declared that calling himself bisexual was the “biggest mistake” he had ever made and once again made the statement that he was a “closet homosexual”.

    Despite his claims of being gay or bisexual David Bowie married two women, Mary Angela Barnett (Angie Bowie) and super model Iman.

    His death comes just days after he released his album Blackstar which has rocketed up the itunes chart.

    Showing that they are totally comfortable with their sexuality, Geordie Shore’s Scotty T and Irish model Jeremy McConnell lock lips in an attempt to win David Gest’s Big Talent Show on tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother.

    Earlier in the day, the pair performed their routine in front of US Producer David Gest, who suggested the pair should kiss!

    Dressed in a Pink Tutu Scotty T and Jeremy, who wore a black boa and hot pants, perform their own version of Swan Lake, which reduces most of the housemates to tears of laughter. Jonathan “loved it.”

    How Evander managed to keep his place in Big Brother is beyond us after he went on a homophobic tirade in which he said homosexuality was wrong. During a conversation with Luisa Zissman, Holyfield said homosexuality was the same as a ‘handicap’ person and it is something that could be fixed by doctors.

    Conservative Gay Journalist Milo Yiannopoulos Is Unverified By Twitter

    Controversial gay journalist Milo Yiannopoulos has had his verified status revoked by Twitter. Twitter erupts with JeSuisMilo in response.

    With more than 133,000 followers on Twitter, Milo Yiannopoulos is probably one of the most famous out journalists on the platform but has had his verified status revoked by Twitter.

    Verified is a system by which Twitter verifies that the account belongs to the person or people the account says it belongs to. Verified accounts are distinguishable by a little blue tick that appears on the Twitter profile of a verified account.

    Milo Yiannopoulos, who operated from the account handle @Nero had his verified status revoked after he apparently “violated twitter rules.”

    Yiannopoulos responded to the suspension of his blue badge by saying that he had been sat at the “naughty table” and that, “Twitter is gearing up to purge conservatives. Unverifying me is the first step toward a permanent ban.”

    Milo Yiannopoulos came to public attention after launching The Kernel, an online tech magazine which was eventually bought by The Daily Dot. and for his reporting in The Telegraph.

    Twitter has not responded to call from the media for comment.

    Wannabe London Mayor Winston McKenzie has been voted out of Celebrity Big Brother.

    Winston McKenzie has been evicted from the CBB house bringing an end to one of the most controversial starts to a Celebrity Big Brother series.

    Even before he had stepped foot into the UK’s most famous house, he had upset thousands of viewers with his comment about being able to live in the house with gays, as long as he kept his back to the wall.

    During his stay in the house Winston had tried to defend his statement that adoption by gay couples of children was like child abuse, which led Angie Bowie to say that McKenzie could “suck her big one”.

    When asked by Emma WIllis, during his exit interview he continued to try and defend his “beliefs”.

    He said, “I’m a Christian; I expressed my feelings at the time. It doesn’t mean to say that I’m one to tell someone who wants to adopt a child, that they can’t do so, I don’t make the rules. My comment was made in the heat of the moment, the press were on me, it was a General Election and they got what they were looking for. So whatever comment I made at that time, it wasn’t something that was done from the heart. The simple fact is they portrayed it the way, however spiteful they wanted. I agree with my heartfelt feelings. I’m not going to change my mind, or the way I am.”

    Emma continued to ask does he still think gay adoption is likeable to child abuse, Winston replies: “Would you like me to sit here and lie? We don’t need to go over it again. I’ve made my statement.”

    Emma believes it is such a shame and a sad view to have.

    He goes onto say: “The work I do for homeless children and mothers, and people who are destitute, I can match any MP because people know me as the man of the people. I step in as I know what it is to struggle.”
