    Therefore we thought we would get the official list of most requested songs for weddings during the last calendar year 2015.

    The company favoured by mobile DJ’s across the globe www.DJEventPlanner.com gave us permission to print the formal list for industry eyes only which summarises over 2 million requests worldwide at nuptials of all sorts.

    We spoke to a number of well-known mobile wedding DJ’s and they unanimously said that the music chosen or that works tends to be largely the same whether they are entertaining a straight, gay or lesbian wedding – fun music is fun music period.

    With the exception of sometimes a different first song choice that a gay couple may choose like: The Mama’s And Papa’s Making Our Own Kind Of Music or Whitney Houston’s All The Man That I Need the rest of the night is indistinguishable from heterosexual weddings and defaulting to say In The Navy/It’s Raining Men/I’m Coming Out or Dancing Queen is seen as not treating the LGBT audience with the respect due on a couples’ big night.

    The UK’s entry for Eurovision 2016 have seemingly terrible odds.

    Joe and Jake may be cute, but their song isn’t doing it for the bookies as William Hill puts the duo’s odds of winning at 50 to 1. To make matters worse the book maker is giving odds of  8 to 1 to come last.

    William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said,

    “Things are not looking good for the duo chances and we think they are unlikely to feel like having a selfie at the end of the competition,

    “They could well get humiliated again.”

    The band’s chances of winning have slumped since February when bookies were giving the UK odds of 20 to 1.

    The UK hasn’t won the Eurovision Song Contest since 1997, when Katrina And The Waves were triumphant with the anthemic Love Shine A Light.

    Ben Haenow who won the X Factor in 2014 has been dropped from Simon’s Sony imprint Syco following in the footsteps of Steve Brookstein, James Arthur and Leon Jackson.

    William Hill is offering odds of 5/1 that 2015’s winner Louisa Johnson is dropped before the end of 2016.

    “There has been a growing voice suggesting that the X Factor should at the very least be given a rest,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The fact that the winner from just 12 months ago has already been dropped is only going to add fuel to that fire.”
