Davey Wavey’s new Palm Springs’ house is a mid-century dream

    That pool tho…

YouTuber turned adult entertainment entrepreneur Davey Wavey has splashed out on a new home in Palm Springs, California and it is a dream home.

He jokes, “Since most gay men seem to end up in Palm Springs eventually, I decided to get a head start.”

The fitness guru has taken to social media to show off some incredible shots of his new home and it proves that creating thirsty content for the masses can really pay off.

Davey Wavey founded porn studio Himeros in 2017 and it has gone from strength to strength on its mission to change mainstream porn for good.

Davey actually “closed” on his home in Palm Springs in December of last year, but he reveals that it’s finally coming together as he adds mid-century touches to the 1 storey, flat-roofed home.

The house, which is overlooked by rocky hills has a pool and numerous towering palm streets to give that perfect Californian-desert look. Palm Springs is a two-hour drive from Los Angeles.

    Open Plan and Pastels

The home features an open plan living space which looks out onto a gorgeous pool through a wall of glass.

The home also features a lot of pastel colours, including mint green for the outside areas and a baby pink for the kitchen. The living room is white with a brick fireplace and hardwood floor, covered by a thick pile cream rug.

  • HOTEL REVIEW | Santiago Resort

    HOTEL REVIEW | Santiago Resort

    ★★★★★ | Santiago Resort

    The Californian TREAT in RETREAT

Located in a highly desirable neighbourhood in Palm Springs, California sits a quaint resort that is the recently refreshed Santiago. The friendly and attentive staff welcomes you to this gaysclusive 24 room – awe-inspiring resort. Most rooms boast landscape views of the towering mountains that surround this swim suit optional resort. The long list of amenities includes TV, DVD, fridge, microwave, king size beds, ceiling fans, housekeeping, WiFi, heated oversized pool, and Jacuzzi that are all a stone’s throw away from the tropical exotic surroundings that light up this resort. Santiago is one of the very few resorts that also offer both complimentary continental breakfast as well as a healthy light lunch that varies daily. As this resort sits proudly near downtown Palm Springs you will be neighbours with the bustling areas that will cater for your retail, wining, dining and dancing needs.

Sometimes when we travel we think that we have to go out and explore or else we feel as though we are missing out on something and Santiago has this natural pull to the resort that even though the area is waiting to be explored…so are the hammocks, the fire pit and the views that come with both. OK so one might think that there is only so many views that one can take – I stayed here in January and back home in London it’s not very often you get to look at a backdrop of snow-capped mountains behind a canvas of clear blue skies whilst drinking English Breakfast tea (of course). When dusk starts to creep in and you are backstroking in the warm pool it’s difficult not to get carried away with a number of stars that twinkle away from any light pollution. I left thinking is Palm Springs closer to the moon – it seems that way.

Santiago is the treat in retreat!

A Californian coffee shop has become the first LGBT business to be recognised as the National Small Business of the year from the United States’ Small Business Adminstration (SBA). It has become the first openly LGBT run business in the SBA’s 63 years.

The SBA was created in 1953  to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of the United States.

Speaking at the award cermony Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration said,

“It is my extreme pleasure and honor to announce that business partners Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell from Equator Coffees & Teas headquartered in San Rafael, California are this year’s national Small Business Person(s) of the Year. It all started in 1995 when they started to roast coffee in Brooke’s garage.  Equator now has 90 employees and 350 wholesale customers including the renowned French Laundry restaurant, cafes at LinkedIn, micro-kitchens at Google and three retail stores in Northern California with two more on the way,” Contreras-Sweet said. “Helen and Brooke purchased their own roasting plant using an SBA 504 loan. They have worked diligently with their farmers for 17 years and were one of the first roasters to support the Fair Trade movement to gain better wages for growers.”

“The overall competition was extremely competitive this year. The highlight of my day was to be able to meet and award every state and territory winner and thank them for all they do for their local economy and America’s small business community. Two out of three net new jobs in America are created by small businesses and it’s all of our small business winners today who are leading the way,” Contreras-Sweet added.

According to the Equator Coffees & Teas website the business “was established in 1995, when business partners Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell began roasting coffee in a Marin County garage, it marked the beginning of their journey to build a high-impact coffee company focused on quality, sustainability and social responsibility.”

  • Liberty Counsel: Some Homosexuality Caused By Abuse Of A Paedophile

The founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel says that many gay people develop unwanted attractions because of childhood abuse.

A ‘Gay Cure’ ban will stand in California after the Supreme Court declined to hear a challenge to a law that bans conversion therapy. The therapy is aimed at trying to change the sexuality of gay people under the age of 18. However the court ruled that banning this kind of therapy did not violate free speech rights and that it had an interest in banning treatments it considered harmful.

A non-profit Christian legal aid group, Liberty Counsel, which had petitioned the Supreme court to take the hearing argued that there was no scientific basis to say that gay cure therapy was harmful.

Many religious groups still argue that homosexuality is not a natural part of humanity and that a person can change their orientation with therapy. Liberty Counsel also spends its time and resources on fighting against same-sex marriage, civil unions and adoption by the LGBT community.

‘I am deeply saddened for the families we represent and for the thousands of children that our professional clients counsel, many of whom developed these unwanted attractions because of abuse of a pedophile. The minors we represent do not want to act on same-sex attractions, nor do they want to engage in such behavior.

‘They are greatly benefiting from this counseling. Their grades have gone up, their self-esteem has improved, and their relationships at home are much improved,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel.

‘These children have been victimized twice – first by the likes of Jerry Sandusky, and second by legislators and judges who have essentially barged into their private therapy rooms and told them that they must pursue their unwanted and dangerous same-sex sexual attractions and behavior,” said Staver.

‘The minors we represent do not want to act on same-sex attractions,’he said, ‘nor do they want to engage in such behavior. They are greatly benefiting from this counseling.’

Mr Staver also suggested that the fight for gay convertion therapy was far from over saying,’I can assure you the battle over change therapy is far from over. We will be back.’

  • Condom Requirement Law For Porn Stars Clears First Hearing

A Bill which would see all adult performers in California required by law to wear condoms has cleared its first hurdle.

The landmark and controversial California Assembly Bill AB1576 which requires condoms in all adult films made statewide in the state of California, cleared the state Assembly’s Appropriations Committee earlier today in a 9 to 3 vote.

Today, Isadore Hall and Michael Weinstein forced the AB1576 bill down the throats of the Adult Entertainment ndusry despite the huge amount of opposition of adult film performers themselves as well as LGBT political groups.

Now, as stated in the bill, AB1576 denies performers control of their own body, their own sexuality, and their own privacy. The Free Speech Coalition collected over five hundred signatures of adult performers who have come out in huge numbers in opposition to this bill, despite Assembly member Hall’s endless shaming.

Reuters reported on how vial Assembly member Isadore Hall (pictured right) of the 64 Assembly District has been towards performers of the Adult Film Industry. ‘

For the past few month, Hall has portrayed performers as a public health hazard, using discredited studies that read like Victorian pulp novels. This isn’t about protecting performers, this is a morality crusade aimed at driving a legal, regulated business out of the state and underground.’
