  • Priest Comes Out As Gay And Is Promptly Sacked By Vatican

A Polish priest has been sacked by the Vatican after coming out as gay.

Monsignor Krzystof Charamsa,43, a priest who has worked in the Vatican’s doctrinal arm since 2003 has been fired by Vatican officials after coming out as gay and as having a partner. He announced his sexuality in an interview with the Italian paper Corriere della Sera.

Charamsa held a press conference with his Spanish partner to announce his partnership and sexuality. The Vatican have said that its decision to remove Charamsa was nothing to do with his coming out, but that giving an interview and planning a news conference was “grave and irresponsible”.

Speaking about the Church’s views on homosexuality and how the Church treats gay people he said their views were “inhuman”,

“It’s time for the Church to open its eyes about gay Catholics and to understand that the solution it proposes to them – total abstinence from a life of love – is inhuman.”

The news of the sacking comes after the news of an alleged meeting between Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who spent time in jail recently after refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples and the Pope during his recent visit to the United States. The Vatican said that the only “audience” the Pope had was with a small group, which included a gay couple.

In a statement about Charamsa’s announcement, the Vatican said,

“Msgr. Charamsa will certainly be unable to continue to carry out his previous work in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the Pontifical universities, while the other aspects of his situation shall remain the competence of his diocesan Ordinary [local bishop].”

Krzystof Charamsa, dedicated his coming out to all gay priests, saying,

“I dedicate my coming out to all gay priests. I wish them happiness even if I know that most of them will not have the courage to make the gesture I have made today.”

  • Pope “Thanked” Kim Davis For Her “Courage” And Told Her To “Stay Strong”

Anti-Gay Marriage Clerk, Kim Davis has private audience with the Pope in which he allegedly thanked her and told her to stay strong.

Anti-gay marriage Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis had a private 15-minute audience with the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, during his recent visit to the United States at the Vatican Embassy in Washington.

The clerk has spent six days in jail for contempt of court, after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in Kentucky. Ms. Davis who has been married 4 times has argued that her religious beliefs should make her exempt from issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples.

Lesbian, Bi and Gay couples have had the right to marriage licenses in the US since SCOTUS legalised same-sex marriage in June, earlier this year.
According to Ms. Davis’s lawyer Mat Stavers, the Pope “thanked her for her courage” and to “stay strong”.

When asked about his views on government officials seeking exemption because of their religious beliefs he told reporters that

“It is a right. And if a person does not allow others to be a conscientious objector, he denies a right.”

  • COMMENT | Vatican Department Sleeping Above Gay Sauna

Whilst the cardinals are all gathered to deliberate and appoint the next Pope, you could ponder what they all do in the evenings for entertainment?

Well one Vatican department it seems has been sharing a Rome palazzo with one of Italy’s top gay saunas, the EMC (Europa Multiclub). This may just be a coincidence and I’m sure the Vatican didn’t realise they were spending £17.5m on 20 apartments for the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples in the same building as a gay sauna.

The sauna hosts many features such as whirlpools, Finnish saunas, Turkish baths and massages. Just what you need after a hard day’s work.

How many days did it take to elect the last pope? Just saying.

  • COMMENT: Bigots

We all know one. You know one. I know one.

    I don’t like the expression.

You’re either a racist, sexist, ageist or homophobic.

I read an article last week. It quoted the Pope. He said:

“Gay people are not fully developed humans”

No. The Nazis were undeveloped people Benedict. Cough-Cough I digress.

How is he getting away with homophobic outbursts like that? Say for example a comedian was heard saying black people are “not fully developed humans” or an MP was heard saying the same about women, there’d be utter outrage. Yet if you make outright homophobic statements you seemingly get away without any action. Obviously, earlier last week, the delightful Nick Griffin posted the address of the gay couple Michael Black and John Morgan who won their case against the chillingly bigoted Susanne Wilkinson who decided they could not stay in her B&B. He posted their address on Twitter. To thousands of people. Thousands of people who support this wannabe dictator. His punishment for posting their address to his vile supporters? Banned from tweeting… for a day. Big punishment for a man who essentially put their home and their lives at stake.

Yet the ‘almighty’ Pope can publicly say such disgusting things. Oh I forgot… He can say what he wishes; because he fronts an organisation who’s standpoint on using HIV preventative measures, the woman’s right to chose and homosexuality to name a few, verge on the immoral. His organisation also has hundreds of years of power and a money reserve of millions to back its causes. I’m in NO WAY saying that all Catholics are immoral, but if you agree with the homophobic things he says… then you need to either have a serious re-think about your morals, or leave society. I don’t care how you do it.

I know many Catholics who completely disagree with the Pope’s extreme views. So potentially the question is: Is the pope a true spokesman for all Catholics around the world? The world has opened its eyes and its mind… Evidently we’re waiting for the Vatican to follow suit.

Being against gays, gay pride, gay adoption and gay marriage is fine. Small minded people are out there; let them think what they want to think. However, don’t dare try and stop gay people living their lives how they want to live them. There is such a casual attitude towards homophobia and I for one am sick of it.

Until next time darlings. Saunters off to the drinks cabinet
