    Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan is New York’s right hand that throws the glitter in its Cousin Chelsea’s face! As an ex New Yorker, I often wonder around Chelsea and have withdrawals from the energy Hell’s Kitchen famously oozes.

    Regardless of budget head straight to 9th Ave (between 42nd & 52nd Street) and trip over gay bars such as Posh, Flaming Saddles and Mickey Spillane’s – all offering warm welcomes and steering you away from the capitalist aroma of NY by drawing attention to their generous happy hours! New York’s real estate is hands down one of the most lucrative in the world therefore accommodation can flare a hole in your tutu unless you stay at THE OUT NYC.

    Described as one of the most high energy, full service hotels in the area this urban resort in Hell’s Kitchen at 510 W. 42nd Street is not too far from 9th Ave – it’s probably the same walking distance from London’s Astoria (RIP) to the Candybar.

    THE OUT NYC predominantly welcomes the LGBT community on diverse travelling budgets. This hotel offers plush Quad rooms featuring 4 full size bunk beds with full amenities including individual TV’s – the bathroom is shared but relax as you don’t seem to care when you have to share a powder room at a bar or on a plane and if you do like your own space and travel on helicopters instead of the tubes then without the hefty price tag THE OUT NYC also offers private bedrooms listed as deluxe, studios and one bedroom suites all draped with particular mirrors and comfortable lighting. They also offer dog house suites (where you might find your clothes from the night before or an ex). All visitors are welcomed to use their Spa that has a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.

    The staff all headline gorgeousness inside and OUT – you will have a hard time not asking them to join you for a drink at the hotels KTCHN bar and restaurant. THE OUT NYC is deep in Hell’s Kitchen but far from Hell on earth.

  • SEVENTY PERCENT Of Gay Americans Live With Marriage Equality

    A Federal Judge on Monday declared South Dakota’s same-sex marriage ban ‘unconstitutional’ paving the way for this to become the 37th US State that will allow gay marriage.

    Or will it make it the 38th? With so many Court rulings popping up almost weekly these days it’s hard to keep track of the actual number of States where same-sex marriage is legal. With the US Supreme Court so far still refusing to step in again to re-visit the whole federal Constitutional Issue, it has been left to each of the 50 States to resolve the matter for themselves. Many of them, like Florida the nation’s 3rd most populated State, put up a fierce and often dirty fight by Officials and its Far Right ‘Christian’ Supporters, but to no avail in the end.

    It is estimated that 70% of gay people in the US now live in States where same-sex marriage is illegal, and it is no longer a question of IF they remaining 13 (or 14?) States will catch up, but just a matter of when. However, these last few are the country’s most conservative/republican ones and getting their laws changed will not be easy.

    The USA is hoping to beat its neighbour Mexico to become the 20th Country in the world where same-sex marriage is totally legal.

  • Drone Footage Of Frozen Chicago Will Take Your Breath Away

    Winter can look incredible when it’s not overcast and raining. This production company from the US have managed to capture a beautiful frozen Chicago.

    Chicago, has this year thanks to last year’s polar vortex shown how wintery conditions can be truly breath taking. During the filming of the video, temperature failed to rise above -10 degrees.

    Photographer Colin Hinkle released the footage taken by a GoPro camera attached to a DJI Phantom 2 Drone. On his about page Hinkle wrote: “Part 4 of Chicago in my series of life from above. Shot during the winter of January 2015 around Chicago over the course of 2 weeks. All shot in temperatures below 10 degrees F. Really tested the limits of the DJI Phantom 2 and GoPro Hero 4. The Phantom held up very well in the cold with no issues at all. The GoPro shooting in 4K would not last much more than 10 minutes before needing a battery change which was disappointing since it’s supposed to be a camera for the “extreme” users. Enjoy the beauty of a frigid Chicago from your warmth of your living room.”

  • No One Is Born Gay: Says US Gay Cure Group On Billboard

    A US-based “gay cure” organisation, PFOX.org has bought ad space on a billboard in Virginia, which proclaims no one is born gay.

    Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays have bought billboard ad space in Richmond, VA, that say that gay people aren’t born that way.

    Writing on their website PFOX states,

    “Identical twins have the same genes or DNA. They are nurtured in equal prenatal conditions. If homosexuality is caused by genetics or prenatal conditions and one twin is gay, the co-twin should also be gay … because identical twins are always genetically identical, homosexuality cannot be genetically dictated. No-one is born gay.”

    According to their website, thousands of individuals have made the decision to leave ‘the homosexual life’ and can confirm that change is possible.

    So-called ‘gay cures’ have long been debunked by doctors and scientists. Last year Doctor Christian Jessen filmed a documentary for Channel 4, where he uncovered various treatments to ‘cure’ homosexuality. All of which he found to be useless, and with no scientific proof that they worked.

    Gay cure can range from reparative therapy to ‘shock’ treatments. In July a man who was ‘treated’ for homosexuality in the 1970s, talked to the BBC about his ordeal administered by the NHS and the damage it had done to his life. The 69-year-old said the treatment had made him feel that he was, ‘going to pass from this life without ever having a full relationship with a human being.’

    A statement from Jamie Machut, Vice President of Lamar Advertising Company, the owners of the billboard responded to criticism about allowing the advertisement saying,

    “There are no plans for billboard to come down,

    “Please keep in mind that the advertising is a message from PFOX and not Lamar Advertising Company. We support the First Amendment right of advertisers and believe that it is in the best interest of our company and the communities we serve to accept advertising copy openly.”

  • Boy, 15, Gang Raped By Five Men In Kentucky

    Five men have been arrested by police in Hopkinsville, Kentucky after the brutal rape of a 15-year-old boy, who has been left with a punctured colon.

    The attack reportedly happened on the 12th October, at a house party. It was captured on video and shared by Snapchat.

    Five men aged between 17 and 20 have been arrested by police in Kentucky. Police haven’t yet released any details about the assault, but they have announced that the attackers knew their victim.

    The victim was in a critical condition and spent days in intensive care. He was treated at the Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. He is making a full recovery at home.

    Queerty reports that the attackers have been charged with sodomy, first degree; promoting a minor in a sex performance; use of a minor in a sex performance; distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. A $1million bond has been posted for one of the alleged attackers.

  • Bachmann: Gays Working Towards Multiple Marriages And Child Molestation

    During a radio interview, US Republican representative, Michelle Bachmann said that gay people were pushing for multiple marriages and to repeal age of consent laws.

    In the interview, Michele Bachmann, who is infamous for her anti-gay views said that gay people not only wanted to be celebrated but to ultimately change laws to allow for multiple marriage and the repeal of age of consent laws, so that adults could have sex with children.

    She argues that the gay community’s ultimate goal was too ‘not allow for diversity of opinion on this issue, because they don’t wanna be celebrated, they want to force everyone, to not only to agree with them but to also to have to finance their agenda.’

    Continuing she said that the gay community was working to, ‘abolish age of consent laws, which means we will do away with statutory rape laws so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually. That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.’

    Earlier this week Bachmann said there was a ‘chance’ that she would run for Presidency again in 2016 after a failed attempt in 2012.

  • Straight white guys get their pride in Ohio

    Adverts for a Straight White Guy Festival have started to appear all over Ohio, US.

    The red and white adverts, which have not yet been confirmed as legitimate, have littered many parts of Ohio. It asks people to join the organisers in celebrating their ‘enjoyment of being straight white males.’

    The venue for the festival is to take place in a park that also hosts a gay pride event. This year George Takei was the Grand Marshal for the event called. Columbus Pride.

    The Straight White Guy Festival, which is advertised as free, is due to take place on September 20th from 10AM till 10PM.

    The poster also manages to show that the organisers cannot spell. Numerous mistakes appear on the poster.

  • Suspect In Double Homicide Of Two Gay Men In Seattle Arrested

    The man who is suspected of killing two young gay men in Seattle has been arrested following a cross-country man-hunt that ended in New Jersey.

    Two men in their twenties were shot in the head and killed in Seattle after a night out with friends in June.

    30-year-old Ali Muhammed Brown was charged with the shootings, but had been on the run, until police in New Jersey managed to capture him just days ago.

    Initial autopsies suggest that the victims were ‘essentially executed’ said Senior Deputy Prosecutor Wyman Yip.

    Prosecutors say the two victims, Ahmed Said, 27 and Dwone Anderson-Young 23, were targeted and lured via a social app.

    Brown was arrested in New Jersey, without incident.

    If convicted of the two counts of aggravated first-degree murder, Brown could face the death penalty.

    ‘It is evident that the murders were premeditated and unprovoked and part of a common scheme or plan’ noted Senior Deputy Prosecutor Wyman Yip in the charging documents.
