  • Katie Hopkins: Acceptance is like death to LGBT

    Katie Hopkins has waded into the Richard Hammond ice cream debate suggesting acceptance is like death to the LGBT community.

    Wannabe gay icon Katie Hopkins has taken to twitter to share her views over that Grand Tour gay ice cream debacle, sparked by Richard Hammond on Amazon Prime’s flagship motoring show.

    During a discussion in front of live studio audience with his fellow presenters, Jeremy Clarkson and James May, Richard seemed to suggest that only gay men liked ice cream after saying,

    “It’s all right, I don’t eat ice cream. It’s something to do with being straight.”

    The show was first streamed on the 23rd December,

    The comment sparked outrage amongst some on social media, with many suggesting that his comments were “casual homophobia” and suggested that Amazon Prime was complicit in “normalising homophobia”.

    THEGAYUK.com reached out to Amazon for comment on these claims, but no one was available for comment.

    Well now Katie, who has in the past said it was a personal goal to become a gay icon, has put her two pence worth in… by tweeting,

    “Acceptance has now come down to ice cream. Acceptance is like death to LGBT. With it, they cease to be special”.

    Despite her wish to become a gay icon, Katie has angered many in the LGBT community about some of the controversial issues raised in 2016. She didn’t understand why the NHS should provide PrEP to gay and bisexual men, calling the decision “utterly bonkers” and she raged against the NHS having to provide medical assistance to trans people by saying that she didn’t think the NHS should fund Trans people’s “life choices”.  The controversial presenter also wasn’t a fan of the BBC’s revamped “queered up” adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream.

    However, earlier this year, she expressed a wish that she’d love for her 7-year-old son to grow up to be gay. She wrote in her Daily Mail column,

    “I hope my son will be gay.

    “He can dance and is proud of his six-pack at seven, which I am taking as a positive sign.

    “I play Kylie to him in the kitchen to show him the way. I hope one day when I am older, perhaps he will finally teach me how to dress with style.”

    Ether Joey Essex is the dimmest person on the planet or he lives under a rock. In his Christmas special, which was broadcast on ITV2 he was asked to define what he thought Homophobia was, so here goes, he answered,

    “Some people don’t like to leave the house. They’ve got home-ophobia?”

    By the same logic we wonder if he thinks racism is people who don’t like taking part in athletics or  the egg and spoon race.

    Dear god man get some insight.

    Cake Wars and Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett looks like he’s been chained to a call centre desk, but perhaps all is not as it seems. Apparently the heartthrob has joined the entertainment team at KTLA 5 newsroom for the day. But fear not his pretty face won’t be sitting behind the desk as he’s actually the host for entertainment, taking over the usual guy Sam Rubin. So Jonathan will be breaking celeb news all day.

    Although he technically wasn’t in Gotham actor Robin took to social media to let his fans know he had been in a relationship with a man for five years.

    Joel Dommett is now a very famous man thanks to his stint on this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. His penis, has its own fame and has released a statement about that Catfishing incident.

    You may recall that during Joel‘s thoroughly entertaining time in the jungle (where he came runner-up) Joel opened up about how he was catfished into being sexual on a skype call.

    Well, now he (sorry his penis) has written a statement about his new found fame and the perils of cyber sex.

     

    “The following is a statement written by Joel’s Penis before it went, with Joel, into the Jungle. His Penis wrote this as damage limitation just in case pictures of it arose in the tabloids and on the internet while Joel was in there and Penis was unable to defend itself.

    This isn’t the first time Joel’s penis has been the centre of televised attention. A couple of year’s ago he made a documentary for Channel 4 about penis painting. Yes… he went there.

    Fans of the X Factor are speculating that winner, Matt Terry and finalist Freddy Parker are boyfriends after they seemingly locked lips live on TV.

    Speculation over whether Matt and Freddy are in a relationship together is in overdrive this morning after the pair seemingly locked lips during the live broadcast of ITV’s X Factor final last night. Matt Terry became the winner of the competition after beating Saara Aalto to the number one spot. Over 6.4 million votes were cast.

    However, numerous eagle-eyed fans have taken to Twitter to rewatch a clip showing the moment where it seems as though, Matt and Freddy locked lips – for quite some time. It was during the reveal of Matt Terry’s winner’s single, the Ed Sheeran penned, “When Christmas Comes Around”.  All of the show’s finalists swarmed onto the stage to congratulate the Bromley heartthrob on his win. It was then that the two men seemed to kiss. The moment was obscured by the gathering, however, viewers could see the tops of Matt and Freddy’s heads.

     

    This comes after rumours that two, unnamed finalists were in a secret relationship.

    Another finalist, Gifty Louise poured cold water over the gossip when she tweeted,

    “lol Matt and Freddy are not together. Bloody hell ??”

     

    Saara Aalto made history during yesterday’s performance becoming the first openly gay woman to reach the finals of X Factor. Had she won she would have been the only openly LGBT singer (at the time of the competition) to achieve the top spot. The only openly gay runner-up was Marcus Collins in 2011. The only now openly gay singer to win the X Factor is Joe McElderry, however, he was not out at the time of his win.

    They were the cute gay Polish couple who recorded a video to Roxette’s “Some Other Summer” during the summer which went viral after the band tweeted their love for the video and video’s message of acceptance.

    Well, Jakub and David are back with a brand new video. Despite hideous homophobic threats, the two lovers have chosen a song native to their own country, made famous by a pop Diva, Beata Kozidrak, from Poland.

    The Polish superstar who is a gay icon in Poland loved video so much that shared it on her official site sending congratulations to them.

    The couple said, “We wanted to show that you can have a fun for a whole year”.

  • SAM GIFFEN: I don’t remember losing my virginity!

    Do you remember how old you were when you lost your virginity?

    Speaking exclusively with THEGAYUK, Big Brother’s Sam Giffen revealed that he can’t remember how old he was when he lost his virginity. He candidly told us, that he thinks it could have been 16 or 17, but he really doesn’t remember.

    Jokingly the reality star, who appeared in this year’s Big Brother said,

    ” I have to be honest with you, I actually can’t remember. How bad is that? I honestly don’t remember. I think I must have been about 16… 16 or 17!”

    What’s more, he doesn’t recall who he did it with. He has blanked out the experience that he can’t remember who or when it happened.

    In a recent flash poll, readers of THEGAYUK.com revealed that 29% of them lost their virginity before the age of 16, whilst 40 percent did the deed before the end of their teenage years aged between 16 and 19.  Twenty-seven percent said that they lost their virginity at an age between 20 and 30 years old. Four percent popped their cherry over the age of 30.

    Sam remarked that he would change the experience if he could, saying,

    “I’d want to remember it. I’d like to know when it was and probably who it was with!”

    The bookies are suggesting that David and Victoria’s third son, 11-year-old Cruz, could be in line for a Christmas hit after bookies slashed the odds of Cruz beating the X Factor winner’s single.

    “We thought when we put Cruz in our Christmas betting at 25/1 that he would be a popular selection and so it has proved and we have had to slash his odds of bagging the Christmas number one after just a couple of hours”.

    Favourite to win this year tho is the Parliamentary Choir / Friends of Jo Cox who are releasing a single in memory of the slain MP. The X Factor winner, whoever that ends up being is third down the list.

    We’re hearing reports that American Idol legend Adam Lambert could be performing on the final of X Factor UK… We’re very very excited.

    Apparently, Adam Lambert could be joining Saara Aalto on stage this coming weekend for the now famous “duets” part of the final. Adam is just returning from a very successful stint as a judge on the Austrailian version of X Factor. However, producers for the UK version of the show are remaining tight-lipped about the rumours.

    Saara Aalto has become firm favourite to win the competition despite an incredibly rocky start to the competition. She was a wildcard entry for her mentor, Sharon Osborne, and for the first few weeks was forced to sing for her position in the competition after failing to get the voting public behind her. However, it’s all change as she’s become one of the most talked about singers this season – especially with the news that she’s now engaged to be married to her girlfriend, Meri.

    If Adam Lambert joins the finalists this Saturday he would join a handful of stars who have graced the X Factor stage for the usually very successful duets part of the final. Past megastars who have joined contestants include Rihanna who sang with Matt Cardle and Beyoncé who sang with Alexandra Burke, both finalists became the winners of the competition.

    Adam Lambert rose to fame during the 2009 series of American Idol, where he placed runner-up. He’s gone on to release three albums and sold millions of records around the globe. Earlier this year he celebrated his success on Spotify after clocking up over 100,000,000 streams of his music.
