Your ability to watch a creampie and eat a creampie at Starbucks is going to be halted in 2019 after the mega coffee chain claims to have to sourced a “solution” that will “prevent this content (porn) from being viewed” at its US locations from next year.

A spokesperson for the company said, “To ensure the Third Place [Starbucks’ coffee shops] remains safe and welcoming to all, we have identified a solution to prevent this content from being viewed within our stores and we will begin introducing it to our US locations in 2019”.

While we think this is probably a good idea, Jake Hook, THEGAYUK‘s editor warned that Starbuck must make sure it doesn’t block safe content from LGBT sites, saying, “Starbuck must ensure that it doesn’t inadvertently block LGBT content from valid news sources such as ours”, Jake Hook editor of THEGAYUK.com said today.

However, speaking on CNN a Starbuck spokesperson said that it was working to ensure that the censoring tool doesn’t “block unintended content.”

New Yorkers for Parks noted on its official Twitter account that “This year, Rockefeller Center’s tree is from a woman who grew up on a block in the Bronx that had no trees! It’s also the first tree in Rockefeller Center’s history to be donated by a same-sex or Latina couple!”

According to the Rockefeller Centre, “Growing up, Figueroa loved seeing people from all “different cultures and backgrounds” visiting Rockefeller Center at Christmastime, so she’s grateful to help continue that tradition, especially for the kids who come from all over the city to enjoy it”.

  • This transgender woman is offering £2000 to find the perfect pair of tucking undies

This transgender woman is offering £2000 to find the perfect pair of tucking undies

A trans woman has offered £2000 to the manufacturer who can design and market the perfect pair of tuckable knickers, specifically for transgender women.

    JacekAbramowicz / Pixabay

A trans woman known only as “Bee” contacted a fashion manufacturer marketplace in a bid to find a designer and manufacturer that can create the ultimate ‘tucking’ underwear.

Tucking is the process by which a penis is “tucked” to the underside of someone’s groin usually with gaffer tape. It gives the appearance of a flat front, particularly when wearing dresses or skirts. The process can be quite painful and can also cause issues when it comes to toilet time.

Most famously, Courtney Act revealed her tuck during her time on Celebrity Big Brother. The problem is that the traditional tuck is quite unsightly and usually requires transwomen or drag queens to wear multiple layers of tight underwear to conceal their penises.

The request was sent to online manufacturing marketplace Sewport last week, asking if the site knew of any manufacturers or designers willing and able to help create feminine ‘tucking’ lingerie for transgender women. Unfortunately, Sewport has been unable to find an existing manufacturer and designer on the site, so with Bee’s permission has released her request to the public.

    Tucking Troubles

Bee’s email details her struggle with current ‘tucking’ methods and how she’s concerned about the medical implications of them. She also says she’s tried the ‘gaff’ method, which is makeshift underwear, but finds it doesn’t provide enough security. Neither method makes her feel like a woman either, and that’s her main motivation for creating something ‘functional and feminine’.

Initially Bee was only interested in creating something for personal use, however now she is hopeful that if her prototype is a success, she can launch a range of feminine and bespoke lingerie for all transgender women.

There isn’t any medical research that indicates ‘tucking’ is harmful, however transgender women often say it can be uncomfortable and medical experts have said that regular tucking can lead to urinary tract infections, skin infections and in severe cases infertility when the testes are pushed up into the inguinal canals.

Sewport connects small to medium sized fashion brands with manufacturers, enabling them to create designs and garments from clothes to handbags, in an easy and cost-effective way. Boris started the company after realising there was a gap in the market for a ‘one-stop-shop’ manufacturing marketplace for new and established brands.

Boris Hodakel, Sewport founder, said, “I am really proud that Sewport is fast becoming the place to go if you have a fashion solution to a very real problem, and although Bee doesn’t have the solution yet, she is trying to work with people who might, and willing to put her savings into making it happen. It’s very admirable and I hope we can help her find a suitable designer and manufacturer, because I can see the value a garment like this would add to transgender women’s lives.

“I implore any designer or manufacturer who has experience in the lingerie market to get in touch. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how the garment would look or functionally work, Bee is open to any sort of discussion, and I’m sure from her personal and your professional experience, something great will happen.”

So could come up with a design?

  • This school in Brighton has over 70 trans and genderfluid kids

There is a school in the south-east of England, where over 70 children aged between 11 and 16 feel comfortable enough to question their gender identity and identify more closely to how they feel.

According to The Sunday Times, the Dorothy Stringer secondary school in Brighton has at least 40 transgender children who don’t identify with the gender they were assigned at birth and a further 36 students who say that they are genderfluid – people who define their gender as fluid, flexible or changeable.

The number of transgender students who were open to their families was much lower, however. Students were much more comfortable to share their gender expression with their classmates and faculty.

The headteacher, Richard Bradford told the newspaper, “The number of ”openly trans children” who had approached us with their families to say that they are transgender [was] much lower”.

    Transgender Flag

The now iconic blue, pink and white flag that the transgender community uses for identity.

The disclosure from the Dorothy Stringer school came through the school’s  “equality information report”. It is believed that the school has the highest number of trans identifying children in the country.

    What does genderfluid mean?

Genderfluid is an identity which describes someone who doesn’t have a fixed gender expression, like “man” or “woman”. They are likely to feel that their gender expression is flexible and changeable from day to day, or even several times a day, due to its fluidity. Genderfluidity has close links to the non-binary identity where a person doesn’t see their gender as either masculine or feminine.

Why is Brighton so LGBT+ friendly?

Brighton has long been the home of a large LGBT+ community outside of London and is often referred to as the ‘gay capital of the UK’.  The city holds the UK’s biggest pride event and has a large number of LGBT+ venues.

Just 21 percent of the top podcasts are female presented and 1 percent is LGBT+ content

A shocking review of the top 100 programmes on Apple’s iTunes podcast chart reveals that just 21 per cent of podcasts are female-led and just one per cent is content for, or about, the LGBT+ community.

    (C) APPLE / Individual programmes

The iTunes chart is male dominated with the majority of programmes featured in the top 100 podcasts being presented by men or featuring male-dominated panels, when checked on the 24th November 2018.

Women-only shows accounted for 16 per cent of the shows in iTunes’ podcast chart, while female-dominated, that is shows that also featured a man in the presenting role, accounted for just 5 per cent.

There was just one LGBT+ podcast, which was a show focussing on the experiences of people who had been subjected to “gay-cure” therapy. Two other podcasts were presented by out members of the LGBT+ community including Stephen Fry and Anna Richardson.

Around 18 per cent of podcasts were equally presented, meaning that there was a 50/50 or near equal split of male/female presenters on the shows.

    Comedy and Sports Male-Dominated

Practically all comedy shows were presented or featured men only.

The top 10 podcasts were, with just two exceptions, the Guardian‘s Today In Focus and the BBC‘s Desert Island Discs, all presented by cis-gender men or featured male-dominated panels.

The top female presented show was the Guardian‘s daily Today In Focus, presented by Anushka Asthana, which is a show to “bring you closer to Guardian journalism”.

The second female-fronted show was Lauren Lavern’s Desert Island Discs produced by the BBC.

Here’s how the top 100 podcasts were presented.

  • This American anti-gay group criticised two girls kissing and it spectacularly backfired

Anti-gay, ultra-conservative group, ForAmerica tried to shame NBC and Macy’s for showing two girls kissing in the annual Thanksgiving Parade and they got slammed by Twitter.

ForAmerica says its aim is to “reinvigorate” the public with the principles of exceptionalism: freedom, prosperity and virtue, but when they criticised broadcaster NBC and famous department store Macy’s on Twitter for showing a lesbian kiss, they got their asses handed to them.

The tax-exempt, not-for-profile organisations said that Macy’s and NBC had blindsided parents in order to push “their agenda” on them.

ForAmerica‘s original tweet was commented on over 8700 times, most of which were lambasting the organisation, while it received a meagre 1800 likes and under 500 retweets, at the time of publishing.

Many commentators used examples of current politics in the US to shame the organisations. User Stephen Spin wrote, “President cheats on wife w/porn star – OK! President constantly belittles & bullies others – OK! President defends murderers like Putin & MBS – OK! Nazi salutes – OK! Active shooter drills – OK! 2 adult females kissing – OMG, THE WORLD IS ENDING”

While Morgan Jon Fox reminded ForAmerica that “Millions of small children will grow up to be gay & have families,” before reminding ForAmerica that what they witness was “called love”

Many called for ForAmerica to reevaluate its morals

However, this user seemed to have the best suggestion yet:

  • This is the new gay podcast you need to subscribe to

This is the new gay podcast you need to subscribe to

Strong language, time travel and gay men – what more could you possibly want from a podcast?

Jack and Jacob are two gay men, and met through working together as writers and comedians in London. Their mission statement was to create a podcast that was funny and entertaining with top quality comedy content, but also one that was unapologetically and joyfully gay.

The Hole Seekers is a podcast by and for the gay community, and a small contribution to the canon of LGBT+ entertainment. Jack and Jacob’s weekly adventures as time travellers are all narrated through a lens of their own perspectives and experiences as gay men, and each week sees them navigating their way through the world of love, sex and dating as gay men and proud members of the LGBT+ community.

Through frank conversation and comedy, Jack and Jacob hope to provide an affectionate, inclusive and humorous exploration at what being gay means to them, using the podcast to open that conversation up to the wider community and hopefully making people chuckle along the way.

Sliding in and out of holes is – as Jack and Jacob quickly discovered – a messy business that’s far better digested aurally. The podcast is, first and foremost, a comedy show and the focal point of each 30 minute episode is a long-form, on-the-spot improvised conversation between Jack and Jacob and their guest. Each guest takes the form of a character met by the boys after they’ve travelled through a hole in time, and is played by a different comedian every week. Before recording, Jack and Jacob do not know when or where in time each week’s hole will take them or who they’ll meet when they arrive at their destination.

  • 5 Things You Didn’t Already Know About Dani Robles

5 Things You Didn’t Already Know About Dani Robles

Spanish stallion Dani Robles has taken the European porn world by storm this year, taking home the crown of Best Newcomer at the Prowler Porn Awards 2018.

He’s graced screens across the world in and out of his impeccably tailored suits, with his movie star good looks and those pearly whites. But we at THEGAYUK like to go past the glamour and really get to know a guy and so we sat down with Mr Robles to do just that. Here are 5 things you didn’t already know about Dani Robles. Handy to know since we’re all not so secretly want to marry him, right?

    1. If you ever wondered what Dani’s type? The answer is for our Spanish stallion it’s more about the personality. He likes a guy who works out and stays healthy but without a nice and caring personality, a good body doesn’t mean anything to him.

    2. He started porn a whole 4 years ago! His first ever scene was for the studio Men at Play and featured our Spanish stallion getting hot and sweaty in the gym.

    3. Dani is pretty well known for having a great bubble butt and unsurprisingly studios cast him in the bottom role for most of his films. In his private life, however, Mr Robles is completely versatile. For him, it’s all about the chemistry and so all you bottoms out there be rest assured, there is hope he’s still the man for you!

    4. His favourite city in the whole world is Barcelona, he loves everything about it! The architecture, food and views, make it his go-to destination whenever he gets some free time.

    5. Last on our list is his favourite song, wanting to put a smile on his face? Have Aaliyah: We Need a Resolution on in the background!

ROD LIDDLE “In 20 years we’ll look back at the transgender debate as grotesque child abuse”

“I think in 20 or 30 years time we’ll look back of the transgender debate and particularly the business being done by the Tavistock clinic with children, as a grotesque form of child abuse”

Speaking on The Brendan O’Neil Show, Rod Liddle singled out the Tavistock Clinic in particular and claimed that in decades to come society will deem the work that they do as “a grotesque form of child abuse”.

The Tavistock Clinic is home to the largest and most established gender identity clinic (GIC) in the UK, dating back to 1966. According to the website, the clinic is a “multi-disciplinary administrative and clinical team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists and speech and language therapists”.

The clinic also runs a Gender Identity Develop Service (GIDS) which is for children and young people who “who experience difficulties in the development of their gender identity.”

Speaking on the podcast the columnist said, “I think in 20 or 30 years time we’ll look back of the transgender debate and particularly the business being done by the Tavistock clinic with children, as a grotesque form of child abuse”

    Hate Crimes and Victim Culture

The show was titled called Hate Crimes and Victim Culture and Rod Liddle started talking about lesbian feminists who he said were angry with some aspects of the transgender debate.

    “Poor Joke”

In 2014 Liddle was criticised after making a “poor joke” about a Labour MP candidate, Emily Brothers, who is transgender and blind.

In a column, published by The Sun, Liddle wrote, “Thing is though… being blind, how did know she was the wrong sex?”

In a statement released shortly after,  Liddle said, “I wish Emily the very best and I’d definitely vote for her if I lived in Sutton and Cheam.

“I am sorry for the poor joke!”

  • Man takes his own life following months of homophobic abuse

A young Scottish man took his own life after months and months of homophobic bullying.

Scott McIntosh was 28-years-old when he took his own life according to Scottish news site, Sunday Post. It alleges that Scott was targetted by an acquaintance, Kevin Edgar whom Scott knew from school. Edgar is said to have made a series of homophobic phone calls to Scott, after he came out as gay. Scott was a deep-sea diver from Aberdeen. He was also a father to a four-year-old boy.

On Wednesday, the Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Edgar, 29,  admit to a charge of making an obscene phone call that related to Scott’s sexuality, the communication was said to be indecent, obscene or menacing character” and contained “homophobic remarks”.

The anonymous calls and emails started 20 months before Scott finally killed himself.

Edgar was originally charged under the Communications Act 2003 by making threatening phone calls and “electronic communications messages” over a four-month period.

“took his life due to depression and anxiety”

Scott died from suicide in Feb 2018, leaving behind his only son, Riley. In August his father, Doug McIntosh, told the Scottish Sun that his son, “took his own life due to depression and anxiety and that seems to be something a lot of young people go through these days.

“It’s becoming a bit of an epidemic. But it’s a horrific thing for a family to go through”.

Scott’s father is now raising money for Scott’s son, Riley. A JustGiving page has already raised £5,900. Doug McIntosh writes, “I started this campaign “For the Life of Riley” after losing my Son Scott in February 25th 2018 and want to keep positive to help my Grandson Riley in Scott’s memory.”
