Gastronomic delights on offer at star-studded dine-off to support people living with HIV.
This autumn celebrities and food-lovers will come together to host a night of dinner parties in London’s top restaurants as part of a luxurious dine-off in aid of HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust. On 31st October around 500 guests are expected to dine in style at more than 50 dinner parties as part of the charity’s annual Supper Club event.
Supper Club Ambassador and celebrity chef, Angela Hartnett is encouraging more hosts to be part of the unique gastronomic event. Hosts at this year’s event will each invite a group of guests to join their table. Guests will pay £155 to attend, with all proceeds going to Terrence Higgins Trust
This year, London’s top restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Gauthier Soho, Galvin La Chapelle and The Square will be supporting the event by donating dinner parties for tables of 8 to 12 people. A number of party-hosts will also be inviting guests to their homes and calling in top caterers including The Recipe and Ottolenghi to provide a mouth-watering dining experience.
After polishing off dinner, the Supper Club guests will be chauffeur-driven to One Mayfair, where the evening will be rounded off with cocktails, DJ entertainment, and dancing at a star-studded after-party.
This year, for the first time since The Supper Club launched in 2001, the after-party will also feature a raffle and silent auction, with prizes on offer including one year of 12 meals for two at top London restaurants, a beer brewing experience with Shepherd Neame and a luxury stay at Kinloch Lodge, Scotland’s ‘Romantic Hotel of the Year’ on the Isle of Skye.
Angela Hartnett, celebrity chef and Ambassador for the Supper Club event, said: “Each year, The Supper Club proves to be a roaring success, with fantastic food and wines and entertaining company. Knowing that the event also helps to support Terrence Higgins Trust’s vital work only makes it all the more delicious. I am thrilled to be the Ambassador for this unique event and can’t wait to see all the guests come together for an unforgettable evening in aid of an important cause.”
Celebrity dinner hosts and guests at past events have included Yasmin le Bon, Ewan McGregor, Tracey Emin, Cilla Black, Graham Norton and Russell Tovey.
