  • Channel 4’s Naked Attraction had trans and pan dating hopefuls and people loved it!

Channel 4’s controversial dating show Naked Attraction had naked trans and pansexual people strip off and people loved the inclusivity.

In a Naked Attraction first, trans and pansexual dating hopefuls were added to the naked panel. The show’s second season premiere featured self-identified pansexual Lizzy who came out after one year of university and says she is open to all genders saying, “I’m attracted to everyone”.

Speaking about being transgender, presenter Anna Richardson said,

“Transgender people identify with a different sex to the one they were assigned at birth. To bring their body in line with how they identify some take hormones to promote physical changes within their bodies.

“Of the estimated half a million transgender people in the UK, only a third have gender confirmation surgery where their sexual organs are altered”.

Lizzy had six of naked people to choose from including two trans people.

Naturally, the good people of Twitter had a lot to say about the programme, but the representation of trans people was generally appreciated, with some pointing out that trans representation on mainstream television was poor and that Naked Attraction’s approach deserved kudos.

  • Is this the most awkward gay date ever?

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Is all we can say.

It takes a brave man to put your first date with another guy on television – especially when it doesn’t quite pan out how you imagine it would.

First Dates recently broadcast this clanger between John and Greig. However after John came back from a smoke outside he admitted to Greig, “It sounds really bad, but I don’t find you attractive,”

“You’re a really genuine guy and we seem to get on, but I just don’t have that connection with you.”

“What’s the point in staying and having the main course and dinners?”

    Ouch.

Even the waiter felt the burn.

Clearly taken aback Greig cancelled his main course and left the restaurant, leaving John to finish his steak and chips alone.

Boy band hopefuls, Iron Sun, left some viewers scratching their heads and wondering if they misheard after they left out some crucial lyrics from Lady Gaga’s LGBT anthem, “Born This Way”.

Lyric’s missing from Iron Sun’s performance included,

“No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life. I’m on the right track baby. I was born to survive.”

The boy band also failed to sing the well-known lyrics, “don’t be a drag, just be a queen” but did manage to squeeze in an energetic dance break into the track.

Fans of the show were left angry when the track omitted the lyrics with some calling into question the BBC’s diversity.

    One viewer questioned,

“#letitshine how can you sing born this way without mentioning anything about equality and diversity ??? It’s the point of the song.”
