  • That Time Westboro Baptist Church Were Owned By Their Own Logic

    Westboro Baptist Church is infamous for its hateful signs and pernicious picketing. However, when you scratch beneath the surface as to what they are doing, they are themselves hated by god… for being enablers.

    During a Twitter exchange yesterday, Westboro Baptist Church’s entire existence came into call, when THEGAYUK asked weren’t they in fact enablers, if their goal is to stop gay people going to hell?

    Their signs read “God Hates Fag Enablers” and “Fag Enabler In Hell”, so surely by their own logic, god hates them. If in fact god exists and that’s a whole other debate.

    The exchange happened after TheGayUK reported that WBC, whose founders and key players are banned from entering the UK, are planning to picket the Barry Manilow concert tonight. When questioned why they’d used #TrueLove as hashtag at the end of their tweet, they told us because they do care, insisting that WBC were the only people who do… And they linked to a video that suggested the reason they carry their colourful signs at pickets and Tweet bile filled hate, is because they’re stopping us falling over a cliff edge (hell); there’s a metaphor there – and it really is clever (for them), however by that very logic, their signs are acting as a calling for us to stop, and therefore be able to enter heaven. So aren’t Westboro Baptist Church themselves ‘fag enablers’?

    When questioned on that fact they replied with, “Nope! Our goal is to preach; its effect is God’s call”. Again with the enabling…

    Damn it WBC stop enabling us…

    We also called them up on their blatant copyright infringement of Barry Manilow’s picture (just for good measure). God hated stealing, it was in his commandments.

  • Mormon church backs LGBT rights – with one condition

    In a rare press conference at the Mormon Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, a Church Spokesman called for a truce with LGBT groups.

    Well, a partial one anyway. Mormon leaders pledged to support anti-discrimination laws for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people, as long the laws also protect the rights of religious groups. In exchange, the Mormon Church wants gay rights advocates — and the government — to back off some of their very questionable practices.

    “When religious people are publicly intimidated, retaliated against, forced from employment or made to suffer personal loss because they have raised their voice in the public square, donated to a cause or participated in an election, our democracy is the loser,” said Elder Dallin Oaks, a member of the church’s Quorum of Twelve Apostles. “Such tactics are every bit as wrong as denying access to employment, housing or public services because of race or gender.”

    However Tuesday’s announcement doesn’t change church doctrine, including its opposition to gay marriage, Mormon leaders said. “But we are suggesting a way forward in which those with different views on these complex issues can together seek solutions that will be fair to everyone,” said Elder D. Todd Christofferson, a member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, one of the church’s top tiers of leadership.

    Let we forget Mormons have fought the legalisation of same-sex marriage, and the pernicious PROP 8 to strike it down in California was a Mormon-backed referendum

  • Horrific Pictures Show Men Thrown To Their Deaths For Being Gay

    New shocking pictures have emerged showing the reported execution of two gay men in Iraq, having been found guilty of being gay.

    Two men are seen being thrown off the tower, one by one, both with their hands tied behind their backs with cable ties, with their eyes covered. Before the men are thrown off the tower, one of the fighters reads from a list he declares the men guilty of homosexual acts. The men are then thrown over by two Islamic State fighters, who wear black hoods. Below a baying crowd can be seen watching the terrifying execution of the two men.

    As one man falls to his death, another man in red can be seen below, after being pushed.

    In December, a man was thrown off a building to his death having been accused of being gay.

    The pictures, which purport to show ISIS executing two men, were found guilty of being gay in Iraq. The two were thrown from a tower in Nineveh, Iraq, in the latest way of horrifying executives by ISIS. Nineveh is an ancient northern city on the eastern bank if the Tigris river.

    It is, however, legal to have same-sex sexual activity in Iraq, however many LGBT people suffer from discrimination, abuse and honour killings. According to the BBC, since the withdrawal of the US from Iraq physical violence and sexual attacks on LGBTs has increased.

  • Man Thrown Off Building To His Death After IS Accuse Him Of Being Gay

    Sickening images have emerged from Iraq, of a man who was thrown off a building, to his death, after ISIS find the man guilty of being gay.

    Images released by Islamic State (IS) have shown a man plunging to his death after being accused of being gay, and found guilty by an Islamic Court, in Northern Iraq.The punishment for his crime was to be thrown off the tallest building in the town, following by stoning.

    The unnamed man, who is seen to be bound with his hands behind his back, is thrown off the roof of the building, whilst up to ten people overlook the operation. The Islamic court also ruled that the man should be stoned to death for his crime. The picture above shows the man surrounded by rocks and stones.

    The barbaric punishment was read out loud in the streets, by balaclava-clad IS fighters, in a town believed to be in Northern Iraq. The punishment read that he should thrown off the highest point in the city for being gay.

    The images appeared on the Internet just hours after a report which detailed the the abuse of CIA detainees was released by the US.

    It is not known if the man died immediately from his injuries.

    Government’s Job To Kill Gay People Says Christian Pastor

    A shocking anti-gay rant by Christian Pastor Logan Robertson, in which he states every single gay person should be put to death, has been reported in New Zealand.

    A Christian pastor from the WestCity Baptist Church in New Zealand was initially approached by author Jim Marjoram, who reached out to over 400 churches to interview for a book he is currently writing when he received a shocking response from Robertson that said, “We are not interested in your filthy lifestyle or book,”
    “I pray that you will commit suicide you filthy child molesting fag.”

    An openly gay journalist, Matt Mclean then approached the pastor for comment and was told by Robertson, that he would “never give an interview to a filthy faggot”.

    However, in an interview later in the day he further laid out his point of view on gay people saying they should be put to death and that Christians shouldn’t be the ones to put gay men to death, but it was the responsibility of the government.

    He went on to explain, “I think every single one of them should be put to death,
    “Christians shouldn’t be doing it, I’m not going to do it, it’s the government’s job to be doing it.”

    The national leader of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand, who said that the comments were appalling, has challenged his comments and the church’s alignment to the Baptist Church in New Zealand. They stated that WestCity was not part of its organisation.

  • Will Same Sex Couples Be Allowed In Sharia Law Hotel?

    A multi-millionaire businessman has bought the Bermondsey Square Hotel in London and has imposed a strict Islamic policy.

    In accordance with Sharia law, London’s Bermondsey Square Hotel will no longer be serving alcohol or pork products after a change in management on Tuesday.

    The changes happened so quickly that many of the usual clients of the hotel were taken aback when staff refused to serve them alcohol, which was previously voted the UK’s trendiest hotel on Trip Advisor.

    The staff at the hotel, dubbed ‘Hotel Sharia’ by the press, are currently unaware of the identity of the new owner but have been told he is from the Middle East.

    The Daily Mail reports that an IT consultant who was a regular at the hotel said, ‘A group of us were meant to be meeting in the bar and they said: “We can’t serve alcohol anymore.”
    ‘When I contacted the manager to ask why, he told me that the new owner wanted it to be a Sharia law hotel. Under Sharia law, you can’t make a profit from alcohol.’

    Perhaps more famously for THEGAYUK’s readership, the hotel was the setting to Hotel GB, which starred a host of Channel 4 celebrities, including Doctor Christian Jessen in 2012.

    Hotel GB was a TV experiment, which saw the hotel, staffed by a mix of British unemployed trainees in a hope to get Britain working again. Guests had the option to pay or not to pay depending on what they thought of the service.

    Earlier this year the Brunei chain of hotels The Dorchester Collection faced a world-wide boycott, headed by a number of high-profile VIPs including Anna Wintour, after the chain’s owner, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei said he wanted to run this Country under Sharia law – a law that could see LGBT face harsh punishments including stoning.

  • Nude Priests In Homoerotic Orthodox Calendar

    Orthodox Calendar is the title of wall calendars and videos first published in 2012, featuring nude and semi-nude photographs of members of the Orthodox Church. The calendar is the brainchild of a group composed mostly of Orthodox eastern Europeans of the former communist region. The primary goal was to create the very first organised global effort against homophobia in the Orthodox Region. At the same time, the calendar takes an ironic approach to the Orthodox Church itself, which in recent years has been embroiled in artist repression, questionable behaviour and homophobia.

    Through their unconventional and bold images, Orthodox Calendar’s creative team seeks to counteract the negative and outdated influences of most of the Orthodox Church leadership. While recognizing that change might not come quickly to the official Orthodox Church position, Orthodox Calendar nonetheless believes that at least it can encourage people to reflect and realise that there is an urgent need for an update in values as part of the modern society.

    Through their unconventional and bold images, Orthodox Calendar’s creative team seeks to counteract the negative and outdated influences of most of the Orthodox Church leadership.     The first series in 2013, called “For freedom of speech, unity and tolerance” tells the individual story of 12 intensely masculine young men and their guests representing different parts of Eastern Europe. All are open-minded and believe that it is important to be perceived as individuals committed to diversity and acceptance against homophobia who reject contempt and violence. Disrespect for gay human beings weakens thousands of children and adolescents, promotes risk-taking, and increases vulnerability to HIV and those steeped in silence, shame and secrecy.

    The second series in 2014, called “LOVE IS LOVE – ORTHODOX OR NOT!” pays tribute to gay marriage. It’s the story of young gay couples from Eastern Europe sharing a common dream of one day being able to wed their beloved at the altar of their local Orthodox chapel.

    The third series (#OC2015) called “S.A.L.I.G.I.A (Superbia, Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, Acedia)” pays tribute to social tolerance. The story takes place on the right bank of the Moskva River south of Moscow, where some priests believe that same-sex unions are NOT a sign of the coming apocalypse, contrary to what Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill may claim. These priests set out, in a humorous way, to remind the world that homosexuality is NOT one of the 7 deadly sins and in fact that Jesus Christ never even referred to homosexuality as a sin!

     

    Yet in the words of many in the Orthodox hierarchy, LGBT people have suddenly become the worst kind of sinners – an omen of the impending end of the world. What about wrath, avarice, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony?
