TITLE

Introduction paragraph – hands on, first impressions. Expectations.

FEATURE 1 paragraph – consider design.

FEATURE 2 paragraph – consider features & performance.

FEATURE 3 paragraph – consider bad points, or anything they could improve.

Conclusion paragraph – consider overall / the bottom line and include reason for rating…

How do I format my film review?

Here is the Film Review template that you should adhere to if you want your review to appear on THEGAYUK.

TITLE: FILM REVIEW | Name Of the film

SUBHEAD: A one-line headline for the review, should sum up the experience in a few words.

STAR RATING: (1 to 5 stars) please see our star-rating document to properly assign a star.

PICTURE: Please include any pictures sent to you by the press team, and don’t forget to include the credits.

THE STORY: The brief synopsis of the piece. Should endeavour to introduce all the main characters with the actors’ names in (brackets) at first mention.

THE PULL APART: This is the meat of your review. What was good, what wasn’t, who was outstanding; who wasn’t? Don’t forget you can focus on locations, design, wardrobe, directing, acting, music etc. Songs should be put into Italics.

SUMMARY: Last paragraph, which rounds up your thoughts about the film.

RELEASE DATE: 

TRAILER: If you have been sent a trailer link please link it here

Word Count: 500 words

Deadline: ASAP – it is best for us to have the review up to 3 days before the release.

How do I format my restaurant review?

Please use this template when writing up your restaurant reviews.

TITLE: RESTAURANT REVIEW: Name of The Restaurant, Location

SUBHEAD: A one-line headline for the review, should sum up the experience in a few words.

PREMISES PICTURE: The first picture should always be a picture of the restaurant.

THE OVERALL IMPRESSION:First paragraph should paint the picture of the restaurant.

THE FIRST COURSE: Around 50 words to describe the first course

THE SECOND COURSE: Around 50 words to describe the main course

DESSERT: Around 50 words to describe the dessert

THE DRINKS: Around 50 words to describe the drinks.

THE SERVICE: An appraisal of the service.

WHAT WAS PERFECT: Overall impression
WHAT WAS BAD: Overall impression – if there was a negative.

SUMMARY: A paragraph to sum up your feelings of the place.
