  • Haaz Sleiman calls out “idiot” Advocate journalist who asked him about sexuality

Haaz Sleiman might have just come out as gay officially, but it didn’t stop him from taking a swipe at a journalist who worked at an LGBT magazine for asking about his sexuality back in 2009.

Nurse Jackie actor, Haaz Sleiman blasted an Advocate journalist for asking about his sexuality back in 2009 when he was doing promo for Nurse Jackie. Although he recently came out as gay – he didn’t always identify as such – or want to talk openly about his sexuality and agreed to talk to the mag, with the condition of “no personal questions”.

The journo, however, either because he didn’t get the memo or just disrespected the actor’s wishes, asked anyway – leading the 41-year-old to accuse the hack of asking the question “on purpose”.

Haaz slammed the reporter in question saying,

“The advocate wanted to interview me.

“I told Showtime only on one condition, no personal questions.

The advocate agreed. At the end of the half hour interview over the phone the idiot interviewer, whom I think was gay (?), asked me if was gay or straight (no personal questions)… I was so shocked. I froze. My body started shaking. And then I lied and said I was straight. Shame on gay people who are not kind to other gay people. He did that on purpose. ?”

The Advocate is one of America’s oldest LGBT Magazines. It was founded in 1967. It was bought by the company now known as Here Media in 2008.

In their interview with him, which is credited to Brandon Voss,  it is written up as:

Ever since you were cast as Mo-Mo, there have been discussions in the blogosphere about your own sexuality. Have you found that people now seem more interested in whether or not you’re gay in real life?
I don’t really read blogs, so I don’t know what’s being said. That’s never come up, but it’s not something that would bother me if it did. It’s all about doing good work, and the stuff that comes with it afterward, it is all fun.

But for the sake of satisfying curiosity once and for all, you’re straight, right?
    Yes.

  • Nurse Jackie actor comes out as gay and a “total bottom”

We at TGUK tower have seen a lot of coming out news and the various ways celebs decide to come out, but this is a first…

Nurse Jackie cutie, Haaz Sleiman has come out as gay – and not just gay – but a totally bottom – spelling it out for people, he said, “Not only am I a bottom, but I’m also a total bottom, which means I like it up you-know-where.”

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BYHGXeqhses/?taken-by=haazsleiman

In a video, which he posted to his Instagram page the actor, stated, ““I am a gay, Muslim, Arab-American man, and I’m going to take it even further. Not only am I gay, but I’m also a bottom.”

He made the post in reference to the news that more LGBT+ people have been killed in the US so far this year, than in the whole of 2016, excluding the Pulse Massacre.

The 41-year-old actor had a message for homophobes as well in his message,

“To all the homophobes living in the United States of America and across the globe, Why not?

“If you ever come to me to kill me just because I’m gay, I will destroy you. I might be gay, and I might be a nice guy, but don’t get it twisted because I will f*ck you up.”

This isn’t the first mention on the subject of sexuality, however, the hunk has been laying down a lot of LGBT+ positive messages on his social feeds recently, but it’s the first time he’s officially said the words!

However, he did say, that women were better kissers than men – our advice? Keep trying – there are some stunners out there!

  • Colin Jackson, BBC presenter and Olympic star comes out as gay

A former Olympian and BBC presenter has come out as gay in the most chilled way.

Colin Jackson, 50, a former Olympic hurdler and now BBC sports commentator has come out as gay on Swedish television.

The 50-year-old came out in a TV interview with SVT reporters Kajsa Bergqvist and Peter Häggström. He had previously denied rumours about his sexuality when a kiss and tell story surfaced about him in the mid-noughties.

He said that he previously decided not to come out because he worried that the press would ‘sensationalise’ his private life.

The news was revealed on the Swedish series Rainbow Heroes because of what he described as their careful and “in-depth” choice of questions.

He told Kajsa, “The way you asked me, it was a whole storytelling kind of thing and you were just interested in the way it affected me sports-wise, emotionally-wise and my preparation.”

Bravo! Another sportsman comes out – shatter that sports cupboard/closet!

  • 12 things these celebs have revealed about their peens

So … ever wondered what the celebs think of their Johnsons?

Willies come in all shapes and all sizes. Here’s what celebs have said about their own appendages – or what their significant others have said about them!

Robbie, not small – just big thighs…

Robbie Williams recently admitted not having the biggest willy in the world. Speaking to the Sun on Sunday he said,

“It’s not a small c**k, I’ve got massive thighs and it’s an optical illusion’. It’s not though, it really is quite small! ”So if I had an extra inch and a half, I’d be a naturist.”

Enrique Iglesias “I’m in the middle”

In 2014 Heartthrob Enrique Iglesias revealed to Cosmo that his girlfriend is sick of hearing about his penis size. He said,

“If I read one more thing on the internet about you having a small penis.… But she laughs it off. It’s funny. What’s the average penis size?”

When told it was five and a half inches he said,

    “I’m in the middle.”

    Justin Bieber, clean AF

    He told Men’s Health recently,

“I feel like my penis is more clean than my fingers…”

    Rightiho then.

    Howard Stern – Pimple Peen

Howard Stern says he’s hung like a pimple. Enough said about that the better to be honest who compares their little Mr to a zit?

Jon Hamm – not impressed by the big willy talk

In a blog Hamm took matters into his own hands – and slammed the big P talk:

“They’re called ‘privates’ for a reason,” he says. “I’m wearing pants, for fuck’s sake. Lay off. I mean, it’s not like I’m a fucking lead miner.

“There are harder jobs in the world. But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my cock,

I feel like that wasn’t part of the deal … But whatever. I guess it’s better than being called out for the opposite.”

Joel Domett’s actually released a statement!

His penis became very famous recently and released a statement about that Catfishing incident.

Well, now he (sorry his penis) has written a statement about his new found fame and the perils of cyber sex.

“The following is a statement written by Joel’s Penis before it went, with Joel, into the Jungle. His Penis wrote this as damage limitation just in case pictures of it arose in the tabloids and on the internet while Joel was in there and Penis was unable to defend itself.

“Recently, after being a relative recluse for Joel’s entire life (with the exception of the odd drunken public appearance), after a stupid error on Joel’s part there are now pictures of me, ‘Joel’s part’ on the internet. I was quite happy being a completely unknown penis and this new found fame is frankly horrific for me and Joel, although we have both realised that it’s better to laugh about it than cry about it (Only Joel can Laugh but we can both cry…).”

“Joel was Catfished a long time ago by somebody pretending to be someone else on the internet and was lured into Skype sex. That Skype sex session turned out to be entirely fake and has come back to bite Joel in the ass (Joel’s Ass is a good friend of mine and also features in the video). It’s a genuinely horrific thing for another human being to do, to take advantage of what is private of someone’s life and make it public for everyone to see.

“He obviously chose to go into I’m a Celebrity Get me out of Here and people may argue that you are forfeiting a life of privacy with that choice, which he agrees with to a degree but there is a line. A cruelly obtained video of Joel ‘jerking off’ (you may prefer other terms such as ‘jerking the chain’, ‘strangling the monkey’, ‘washing the carrot’, ‘humiliating the unicorn’ or worst of all ‘masterbating’) in a beanie (seriously who wears a beanie when they ‘polish the bath taps’?! I’m supposed to be the only one who wears a hat during sex. He is a hideous human being and I’m embarrassed to be attached to him.) which he thought was private is crossing that line.

“This is a new type of crime and it’s not just happening to people of below average levels of fame like Joel. Below is a link to an interesting article from the BBC about the problem and the number for the Samaritans which is a good place to start to sort it out if it has happened to you.

    Ashton Kutcher “Size doesn’t matter…”

Ashton Kutcher’s ex-girlfriend the late Brittany Murphy spoke to David Letterman about his and Demi Moore’s marriage she said, “I suppose the crux of their relationship means to him that age doesn’t matter and to her size doesn’t matter.”

She did following it up with a bunch of “kiddings”… but there’s always truth in a joke… isn’t there?

Tom Arnold not going to be penis shamed…

Tom Arnold, formerly married to Roseanne Barr was penis shamed by her after their divorce.

She revealed that he had a small pecker…  He sniped back,

“What’s small? Hell, even a 747 looks small if it lands in the Grand Canyon.”

    We call that one all.

    Jimmy Kimmel makes comparisons

Talk show host says that he compares his to other and even once said, that the vein in Tommy Lee’s penis was big than his whole dick!

    Shia LeBeouf oversharing

Shia LaBeouf over shared in an interview with Playboy in 2009.

He spoke about the time he lost his V card – and tried to put a pillow under the girl.

It put her at an awkward angle and his Johnson wouldn’t go in. He went on to say, “I’m not extremely well-endowed and clearly this wasn’t the move”

    Robert Pattinson’s implant!

Would it shock you to know that Robert Patterson used a penis implant? For his film Little Ashes, Rob said in an interview “I used a penis implant”

  • 9 Tips To Have A Gay-Ole Time In Iceland

The land of ice and fire seems straight out of an episode of Game of Thrones, mainly because a big chunk of it is filmed there.

It has an eery feel to its vast wilderness that fits the show perfectly and makes for a really cool gay trip. Here are a few gay travel tips that will make your visit to the land founded by Vikings that were too tough for the rest of ancient Scandinavia, as much fun as that sentence was to write.

    gay travel to Iceland

    1. Check out AirBnB

Tourism is Iceland’s biggest industry, and since the financial crash decimated a lot of other businesses, they have invested heavily in getting as many tourists there as possible. With insanely cheap flights connecting Europe to North America, there’s plenty of foot-traffic, and the government would prefer that they stay in fancy-ass hotels. So that’s what they built. You’ll find plenty of luxury hotels and a few hostels, but not much in between. If you’re on a budget, but wouldn’t call yourself a budget traveller, Airbnb is a popular option.

    2. Book everything in advance

The best time of year to visit is definitely summer, although that does rule out seeing the Northern Lights as the sun never really sets. This means that flights, accommodation, and tours will all be booked solid if you leave it until your trip to book anything. This includes booking your entrance AND transport to and from the Blue Lagoon in advance. There’s no difference in price but there is limited availability, so get clicking now.

We flew direct from Gatwick to Keflavik (Iceland’s only international airport) with low-cost airline rising stars Wow Air. They offer civilised flight times for a reasonable price (from £250) or plenty of those crack of dawn flights for even more reasonable prices. Both of which come complete with lavish purple decor, and check out this legroom!

    3. Regular vs. gay tours

When it comes to the typical tourist jaunts, Reykjavik Excursions endless options and departure times, ferrying us to the Golden Falls (careful) and the Blue Lagoon in comfort. However, if you fancied something a little special, you could opt for a gay tour company called Pink Iceland, who arrange many of the same tours, but with a little rainbow twist.

    4. Rainbow unicorn chocolate

There’s rainbow unicorn chocolate. If you don’t buy it you’re technically not allowed to call yourself gay anymore.

    5. Visit the penis museum

Yeah, of course, there’s a penis museum. Why wouldn’t there be?

    6. Get the public transport app

If you don’t drive or don’t really want to drive while in Iceland, then you need to download the Straeto.is app. For some bizarre reason, Google doesn’t recognise any of Iceland’s rather limited public transport, so this is the only way to figure out how to actually get anywhere rather than paying 3,000 Kr (£21) for each taxi trip into town. Plus the buses will not give you change, and you can pay for tickets directly through the app.

    7. Take a sleeping mask

If you go during the summer, don’t underestimate the importance of a sleeping mask. Iceland gets about an hour or 2 of “darkness” per night, so you basically just don’t sleep and go a little crazy.

    8. Pre-drink

Before hitting the town for a night of gay dancing at the infamous and only gay club in the country, Kiki bar, be sure to get lightly trashed before heading out. Like many things in this beautiful country, alcohol is insanely expensive. And this is coming from someone who lives in London.

    9. Hook up

Iceland is the safest country in the world, so you should feel confident to go meet up with guys. And be sure to set aside some time for this, since the community is so small and insular, any fresh meat will be well received and the locals would be grateful of some new conversation. Note: We cannot guarantee that they’ll all be winners.

Be sure to check out Pink Iceland for more information and to book a gay tour or two. And feel free to check out my Instagram for more pictures of me being a dork around Iceland (and around the world!).

  • LEGAL CLINIC | Following the Turing Law, Am I entitled to claim for unfair dismissal and wrongful imprisonment?

A reader asks now that the Turing Law is a reality, can he claim for unfair dismissal from the army and wrongful imprisonment.

Am I entitled to claim for unfair dismissal and wrongful imprisonment?

I am 55 years of age.

I joined the army at 19. In 1983 I was court martialed for gross indecency, sentenced to 6 months in military prison and discharged with disgrace. Under the Turing law, I have since received a royal pardon and my record wiped clean both by the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence.

My question is: Am I entitled to claim for unfair dismissal and wrongful imprisonment?

    John (Name changed)

    Dear John,

Thank you for your question. I’m very glad to hear you’ve been able to use “Turing’s Law” to obtain a statutory pardon.

Although the effect of the conviction being disregarded means the conviction should in all circumstances be considered as never having happened, the pardon itself does not retroactively change the status of the then applicable law. This means that, unfortunately, you cannot take any action for wrongful imprisonment because, according to the laws of the time – unfair as they were, the action taken by the court martial was lawful. Neither can you pursue the issue in terms of employment law. Court martial decisions are not covered by the Employment Tribunal (which is the only place you can pursue unfair dismissal claims) and in any event, claims have to be brought within three months of dismissal.  Employment law is incredibly restrictive at the moment and is generally thought to favour the employer over the worker.

You have suffered a great deal and I know you will be disappointed that this legal advice is not more positive. The key with employment law today is to act quickly and anyone suffering from discrimination at work because of their sexuality should to take advice from a trade union or a solicitor as soon as they can. Even if you are not a member of trade union now, or at the time of the discrimination, you should still contact a local union rep as they can help you nonetheless.

Check your household insurance too: sometimes it will cover legal services without you realising. No one should have to suffer any detriment at work because of their sexuality, or any other characteristic that has nothing to do with their job, so if you are suffering in this way, please seek help.
