  • Can Twitter Predict 2014’s X Factor Winner?

The last couple of years we’ve put together a science based (not really) system that will almost accurately predict the winner of X Factor, it’s called TWATS (Twitter Winning And Theoretical Service)

Based on the fanbases of the contestants (their twitter following) we have almost accurately predict the top 4 of each of the series.

In 2012, we predicted that Union J, Lucy Spraggan, Ella Henderson and James McArthur would be victorious – that instance, James McArthur won and Ella Henderson came 6th Union J came 4th. Lucy Spraggan left the competition due to sickness.

In 2013 the top 4 in the TWATS were Sam Callahan, Nicholas McDonald, Kingsland Road and Tamera Foster. In the end Sam Bailey came first Nicholas McDonald came second, Luke Friend and Rough Copy came 4th. Tamera came 5th and Sam came 7th.

So judging on this year’s numbers:

    Jack Walton 148K

    Stereo Kicks 148K

    Andrea Faustini 147K

    Lauren Platt 132K

    Paul Akister 105K

    Ben Haenow 122K

    Jay James 101K

    Fleur East 68.6K

    Lola Saunders 62.7K

    Stevi Ritchie 43.7K

    So what do you think?

X Factor continues tonight at 8:00PM on ITV 1

Simon Cowell asks Rylan if he likes the BACKDOOR

It was one of those totally awkward TV moments. Yes, that moment when one  straight man makes a joke about the “backdoor” with a gay man.

    Major AWKS.
During a segment where judges had to pick a front door from the ones presented on the screen in front of them, Rylan quipped, “I love a front door” to which Simon responded, “I thought you liked back doors?”

The other judges looked shocked and Nicole started to wave her hands in Simon’s face.

Rylan retorted by sashaying over to Simon, sitting on the side of Simon’s desk saying,

“Oh, Simon! Would you like me to show you how much?”

Simon was left red-faced after realising that his joke was in poor taste and after Rylan suggested that he show the judge how much he liked the “backdoor”.

Instantly Simon knew he had taken the joke too far and apologised immediately.

The head judge said, ”I apologise. I shouldn’t have said that – sorry, sorry, sorry.”

This year’s X Factor has been dogged with homophobic responses from its at-home audience. When Louis Walsh chose Bratavio for his category, his sexuality was called into question by fans of the show and both Bradley Hunt and Ottavio Columbro, Bratavio’s members, were both homophobically abused and even sent death threats over social media.

Bruno’s flirting continues with Greg’s BUTT OF MARBLE

Greg Rutherford’s bum was once again up for debate in last night’s episode of Strictly as judge Bruno Tonioli said he couldn’t take his eyes off it.

    (C) BBC – Photographer: Guy Levy

Greg Rutherford‘s bum has become a national talking point and it all started last week when his bottom became the subject of a both criticism and praise for being so muscly.

The show’s host, Tess Daly, even joked that the women next to her were saying “nice bum” whilst Greg was whirling around the dance floor with his partner Natalie Lowe.

After last week’s discussion about Greg’s toosh, the theme continued when Judge Len Goodman took the opportunity to tell the Olympian that his “bum was going to town”.

But it was the openly gay judge Bruno who ramped up the flirting, shouting,

“Keep going tiger… oooh Hurricane Greg.

“ooh, you are an animal with a butt of marble.”

With his eyes rolled to the ceiling, Bruno revealed he simply couldn’t take his eyes off Greg’s perky assets. “I don’t know why!” he quipped.

The flirting all started when Greg rather coyly gave Bruno his candy floss.

Which clearly made the judge’s day.

This week’s Red Dwarf sees a return to the classic Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie) has illusions of grandeur setting of old. Though this time it’s no illusion as Rimmer finally receives the promotion he has waited for all his life and death. Obviously the rest of the Dwarf Posse are less than happy with this.
An attempt to reign in the power crazy Hologram only makes the situation worse as Rimmer decides on creating a few hundred clones of himself certain that they will obey him if no-one else will.
Sure they will, Arn, sure they will …

A very different but no less special episode if only for the treat of seeing Chris Barrie do what he does best: playing multiple characters at once. The fact that he manages to act as the same character in at-least twenty different ways is testament to his talent. He is an extremely talented man and it’s a shame he isn’t on our screens more often.

REVIEW | Red Dwarf XI, Episode 3, Strongest yet

Red Dwarf XI / DAVE TV

Tonight’s episode of Red Dwarf (Thursdays at 9PM on Dave) might be the series strongest yet!
After it’s release on UKTV Play last week fans called it the “Most Dwarfy Episode since series 6”.

And it’s easy to see why: Rimmer (Chris Barrie) is at his most Rimmer-esque while Cat (Danny John-Jules) has never been more Cat-like (both are acting at an almost series 1 to 3 type level).
Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) on the other hand gives off a strong series 5 to 6 vibe as he tries to help Lister (Craig Charles) with a huge problem.

Explaining this episode in detail would be very spoilery as the story is rather intricate and revealing too much would spoil it. Let’s just give you a few keywords: An evil being, time travel a mistaken identity and Rimmer trying to sort through some deeply rooted issues.

With strong and exciting episodes like this you often forget that you are watching a comedy series and wish it would last at least forty instead of thirty minutes.

Red Dwarf continues tonight at 9PM on Dave.

Bake Off’s Andrew made a star baker

The lovely Andrew Smyth was made star baker in last night’s episode of Great British Bake Off.

    BBC

Fans rejoiced at the rather dishy 25-year-old Andrew as he was made Star Baker in last night’s episode of Bake Off with his showstopping 24 mini mousse cakes.

In fact, it sent thousands of people to THEGAYUK to find out a little bit more about the aerospace engineer.

Yes, it’s true we do have a bit of a candy crush on Andrew and it turns out he’s now favourite to win the series.

To celebrate his win, Andrew celebrated with a mini bottle of prosecco and commiserated with Tom Gilliford who was eliminated from the competition.

We would have chosen a Blue Nun chaser to go with that prosecco.

Bravatio hit back at “copycat” allegations

X Factor duo Bratavio has hit back at claims they copied another artist’s look.

The band, formerly known as Bradley and Ottavio, now Bratavio, have hit back at Danny GoGo after fans accused the duo of copying Danny’s style.

    https://twitter.com/BRATAVIO/status/782668617401901056

Danny GoGo took to twitter to slam the flamboyant pair suggesting that they got their costume inspiration from an outfit he wore.

Many of Danny’s 78,000 twitter fans were quick to agree, saying that Danny’s look was “better” and calling the singer a “trend starter”.

Some of his fans even went as far as to say that Bradley and Ottavio had “ripped off” an original look of Danny’s and that they were nothing more than “copycats”.

However, Bradley and Bratavio were quick to answer the accusation saying that the look was first conceived in 2012.

All is not well on Twitter. Danny GoGo’s fans are raging over the style and appearance of X Factor‘s Bratavio.

So Bratavio, formerly Bradley and Ottavio, have been accused of copying singer and trend setting Danny GoGo’s style and his fans are not happy about it.

All was well until Bratavio were spotted wearing their now famous multicoloured candy looking costume for this weekend’s “Judges Houses” – where they successfully made it through to the live shows. They sang XTina’s “Candy Man” to impress Louis Walsh.

So far so good right? Except the 23-year-old Danny GoGo took to twitter to slam the flamboyant pair by saying:

Well I guess you’ve got to get your inspiration from someone else!!

Danny GoGo then another took a swipe at the X FACTOR pair, by suggesting that the casting of Honey G and Bratavio was a “laughing stock” and that they’d never get signed to a recording deal.

The decision to put Bratavio into the live shows proved to be highly controversial. Trolls on social media were quick to condemn Louis Walsh and bombarded him with homophobic slurs.

Wait… Did X FACTOR show Simon Cowell’s penis?

People have been questioning whether they saw Simon Cowell’s penis over the weekend…

    ©Thames / Syco

So some people thought they caught a glimpse of a Cowell cock during this weekend’s “Judge’s Houses” episode of X FACTOR. Did they?

Simon Cowell was joined by two Spice Girls, Mel B and Emma Bunton to select three hopefuls for the forthcoming marathon of live shows to be become Britain’s Next Top Ignored Popstar.

During the selection process, as Cowell had his legs crossed, people started to question what exactly was going on between his legs.

So obviously we did a little bit of investigation into what has now been dubbed as “toegate”.

Basically, we looked a little harder at the evidence and it turns out that it’s just Cowell’s toe and the music mogul himself reckons it a large toe at that.

Simon was forced to admit that the toe’s placement was indeed an embarrassment for him. He told Rylan Clark and Matt Edmonson on the Xtra Factor,

“It was just my toe. It was quite embarrassing when I saw it online but it was just my toe.

“I have a very large toe.”

    Thank goodness.

Craig Revel Horwood finds Greg Rutherford’s ass ATTRACTIVE

Greg Rutherford found his butt the centre of the Strictly judge’s comments in last night’s episode with Craig Revel Horwood and BrunoTonioli going to town on the Olympian’s toosh.

    Rutherford

The Olympian Greg Rutherford and dance partner Natalie performed a sizzling tango on last night’s Strictly Come Dancing, but the instead of the critiquing his dancing ability Craig Revel Horwood and the rest of the judges were quick to judge his butt rather than his footwork. Craig even went as far as to say it was “attractive”.

However it was Bruno Toniol who had the most praise for Greg’s bottom, saying,

“What a handsome man, look at that! And a handsome tango. You were going like a locomotive at full speed – and I love that,

“The bum, I don’t mind at all. I’m sorry people!”

Len Goodman was the first to point out that Greg’s rather toned butt was on the “large” size, to which the medal winning sports star replied it was good for jumping with.

Earlier in the week, Craig Revel Horwood joked that he might be up for a relationship with a woman after his previous relationship went sour.  Speaking to the Loose Women panel,  he said wouldn’t put himself “out of any department” when asked if he would date women after splitting with his partner, Damon Scott back in May.

The outspoken dance judge, who’s currently starring in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, said that he was loving the single life and joked with the panel that the next person he’d like to date would be “honest and doesn’t sell stories on you”.
