  • Simon knows what he’s doing with Honey G!

Apparently, Simon Cowell knows what’s he’s doing with Honey G in this year’s X Factor!

Speaking in an exclusive interview with THEGAYUK.com former X Factor star Danyl Johnson spoke about how Honey G is just part of the fabric of X Factor and how acts like hers are all part of the excitement of the show.

Honey G is probably one of the most controversial stars of recent years and her name regularly trends worldwide since she started to appear on the live shows and not everyone is happy about her inclusion in the show.

    Danyl told us,

“The thing is, everyone gets really uptight about these, the enjoyable acts, but they’ve always been in the thread of X Factor. They have always been there. From Chico to Jedward, to Wagner to Honey G right now.

“They’ve always been there. The X Factor is not just about singing, it’s about having something that people are talking about. Undeniably, every single person is talking about Honey G.

Danyl who appeared in the 2009 series of the show and came fourth, knows how the juggernaut of the show works. He remarked,

    “Simon understands what she is.”

It seems as though “casual homophobia” is the new thing for Saturday night TV. Last night Peter Kay, whilst on the BBC, was blasted on social media for a joke some decided was homophobic and over on ITV Simon Cowell, once again, made a comment alluding to Louis Walsh‘s sexuality and viewers are starting to notice the frequency at which it happens.

In Saturday’s (19th Nov) broadcast of the X Factor, Simon Cowell questions why Louis might like Matt Terry over Ryan Lawrie, after the 64-year-old judge told Ryan that Matt was better than him. Simon’s response, it seems, was done in such a way that many people took to Twitter to call him out on his “gay jibes”.

A couple of weeks ago another comment by Simon prompted huge speculation over Louis’s sexuality. During the critique of Matt Terry’s performance of “I’m Your Man”, which Louis thought was “a bit karaoke”, Simon aimed his critique at Louis saying, “This is the first time Louis has said I don’t like I’m Your Man.”

This isn’t the first time Simon has made jokes with someone’s sexuality as the butt of the joke (pun intended). During a live Xtra Factor broadcast, Simon asked Rylan Clark-Neal whether he liked the backdoor.

  • Wait… were Rylan and Matt simulating oral on the Xtra factor?

Wait… were Rylan and Matt simulating oral on the Xtra factor?

We have to admit, this one passed us by, as we had stayed on ITV1 to watch the first episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here… but what exactly were Rylan and Matt doing on the Xtra Factor?

The Mannequin challenge is the craze that’s sweeping the nation – and much better than the ChristmasTreeChallenge, which George Shelley released launched over the weekend. Well, stars and crew of ITV’s Xtra Factor took part in their very own Mannequin Challenge and it was rather brilliant – despite Olly Murs blinking half way through!

Our only question is what exactly were Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmonson up to?

As the camera pans round it settles on Rylan and Matt in a rather compromising position, with Matt’s crotch in the face of Rylan. As the action begins, Matt is heard saying,  “It’s just sort of flared-up a bit.”

  • Joel Dommett’s public support for winning is unprecedented

Relative newbie, Joel Dommett has certainly made an impression on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, especially after he stripped off to reveal, well a rather dishy bod!

Although he’s relatively unknown, standup comedian and actor Joel Dommett has certainly captured the public’s interest / or lust after revealing his finely toned body in last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

According to Betway Joel’s odds of winning have shortened from 14/1 to 7/2.

A spokesperson for the Bookie said,

“There’s been a massive market move for Joel Dommett after Sunday night’s opening episode. The Skins star’s odds plummeted from 14/1 into 7/2 straight after he revealed his torso in the Jungle’s shower.

“The shortening of Dommett’s odds is the most drastic I can remember in I’m A Celebrity history!

“Scarlett Moffatt looks a shaky favourite now. We’ve pushed her out from 7/4 to 5/2 and that price could slip further if she fails to grab the public’s attention.”

So what did people get into a lather about?

    Well, check out this:

Meanwhile, thousands of people flooded THEGAYUK.com last night in an attempt to find out whether Joel is gay or bisexual after he flirted with soap star Adam Thomas.

  • People think that an Apprentice made a “racist” comment in the last episode

Social media users have blasted Apprentice hopeful Dillion St. Paul after making a comment about fellow contestant Karthik Nagesan’s business style.

    BBC

In Thursday’s episode of The Apprentice, some viewers were apparently shocked by a comment made by Irish hopeful Dillon St. Paul. During the challenge, fellow contestant Karthik Nagesan had taken his time over a business deal to obtain a Lehenga at the lowest price. Karthik said that he would take charge in the negotiations because it was his “culture”.

However Dillon was less than impressed with Karthik’s style and in a to-camera interview said,

“Karthik’s negotiation technique is basically Indian chit chat. There was a lot of time wasted at the start. He should have just asked ‘Where is your lehenga? Can I see it?”

Some viewers took to social media to vent their disgust.

    According to Yahoo.com

One wrote: “Indian chit chat”..? This guy is something else #TheApprentice.“

Another commented: “Oh yay. It’s the episode where they bait them into being horrendously racist #TheApprentice”

Another wrote: “Indian chit-chat…are you actually allowed to say that? #TheApprentice.”

However, some did back Dillon’s statement, with one woman, Seetal revealing that “Indians take FOREVER to secure a good deal”.

While another commented that it was all about building a rapport

Of course, Dillon didn’t “set  out to say something derogatory” and apologised if the comment caused offence.

    He said,

“I would never intentionally set out to say something derogatory. I apologise if my comment caused offence, it was not intended in that manner.”

  • TV REVIEW | Red Dwarf XI Episode 6: Can Of Worms

★★★★ | Red Dwarf XI Episode 6: Can Of Worms

Red Dwarf XI / DAVE TV
Red Dwarf XI / DAVE TV

So another very different episode. A very unique one too as it gives the, long overdue, lead to the Cat (Danny John-Jules).

Even though the trope is simple: Cat finds love but all is not what it seems, the execution isn’t; Just when we think we know where this is going we suddenly find that we are not going there at all. This is the episodes strength as well as it’s weakness: there often is too much going on and every element would have been a perfect episode by its-self.

The characters, though, are spot on as are the actors: Dany John-Jules clearly relishes giving the Cat more freedom while Chris Barrie and Craig Charles add a new facet to Rimmer and Lister – concerned parents looking after their naïve cat-child. Although very short, the guest performance by Dominique Moore as the Cat’s love interest really left us wanting Moore (yes, pun intended).
All in all a strange but worthy ending to a brilliant series.

We can’t wait till XII next year!! See you then!!

Red Dwarf XI continues tonight on Dave at 9PM

Ofcom receieved 44 complaints but said that the coments were “within the audience’s expectations”.

    A spokesperson for Ofcom said,

“We investigated whether a discussion between Christopher Biggins and Renee Graziano about the sexual orientation of bisexual people was offensive

  • REVIEW: Red Dwarf XI Episode 5 – KRYSIS

Red Dwarf has used various styles this series and this new episode is no different. After a fast paced big cast episode, a filmic flashback, a horror time travel episode and a body horror technology based episode we have another first for the series: cute and fuzzy friendship feels!!

    ★★★★

    Red Dwarf – Series 11 – Ep05 – “Krysis” –

This episode proves just how much the characters have grown and developed over the years. The bickering foursome have developed into a dysfunctional but caring family. Sure they might bicker and grumble, but after so many centuries together, they do care.

Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) is feeling depressed and the guys fear he might suffer from a midlife crisis and they are soon proven right. As Kryten goes through various stages of midlife crisis at an alarming speeds and feels increasingly low about himself and his accomplishments, Dave Lister (Craig Charles) thinks it’s time for an intervention. Of course things do not go completely to plan.

    Red Dwarf – Series 11 – Ep05 – “Krysis”

What makes this an interesting episode is seeing Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie) and the Cat (Danny John-Jules) as part of the team, trying to help out but with their characteristics still in tact. This is very clever writing. It’s good to see characters grow up and learn and it shows that the show works even without constant clashes and insults. The heart of the show is these characters being there for each other despite their differences.
