Country Singer Ty Herndon Comes Out As Gay
Ty Herndon a Country singer from Mississippi in the USA has come out as gay.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight the singer Ty Herndon, 52, revealed that he is gay and has been in a relationship with a man for a few years.
He had been married to women twice before, and when asked if they knew about his sexuality he answered ‘absolutely.’
Although relatively unknown in the UK, Ty has released six studios and 20 singles, three of which have reached number one on the Hot Country Songs charts.
During his interview he said,
‘I had a lot of people around me that I trusted at a time and I was like,’Hey, you know this about me but the world doesn’t. So I’m gonna need to call on your services for a little while,'” he confessed. “It was unfortunate that I had to do that, but I felt that’s what I had to do to have my career. Standing on some pretty solid legs today, so I get to tell my truth today.’
