Gay Kiss Between Straight Actors Breaks Social Media In Brazil

A kiss between two straight celebrities in Brazil has created a social media storm.

Two of Brazil’s most famous actors kissed to show that there is nothing wrong in showing ‘our affection and love’ and to call out the ‘macho card-carriers, hypocritical and prejudiced’.

The kiss between Bruno Gagliasso and João Vicente de Castro happened at the GQ Men of The Year Awards 2015.

Brazil has a troubled history with LGBT rights and is the epicentre for the murder of transgender people. In 2014, 113 of the 226 trans people murdered happened in Brazil.
