In a statement from Gaydar, London night spots Lo Profile and Profile are set to close today.

In a statement,Gaydar, just days after it announced that GaydarRadio was to cease broadcasting, said that it’s two Soho ventures Lo Profile and Profile were to close their doors.

A spokesperson from the company said:

“It’s with great sadness that Bar Profile Limited can confirm that Profile and Lo-Profile will be permanently closing from 7th January 2013. The building is undergoing major refurbishments and an agreement was reached for the lease to be surrendered back to the landlord.

Bar Profile Limited would like to sincerely thank the local Soho and wider gay community for its fantastic support over the past six years.”

The parent company QSoft Consulting Ltd said that they had decided to concentrate efforts on their online dating platform Gaydar, which has seen a number of competitors enter the market space, such as Grindr since its launch in 1999.
