Sickening images have emerged from Iraq, of a man who was thrown off a building, to his death, after ISIS find the man guilty of being gay.

Images released by Islamic State (IS) have shown a man plunging to his death after being accused of being gay, and found guilty by an Islamic Court, in Northern Iraq. The punishment for his crime was to be thrown off the tallest building in the town, following by stoning.

  • Will Same Sex Couples Be Allowed In Sharia Law Hotel?

A multi-millionaire businessman has bought the Bermondsey Square Hotel in London and has imposed a strict Islamic policy.

In accordance with Sharia law, London’s Bermondsey Square Hotel will no longer be serving alcohol or pork products after a change in management on Tuesday.

The changes happened so quickly that many of the usual clients of the hotel were taken aback when staff refused to serve them alcohol, which was previously voted the UK’s trendiest hotel on Trip Advisor.

The staff at the hotel, dubbed ‘Hotel Sharia’ by the press, are currently unaware of the identity of the new owner but have been told he is from the Middle East.

The Daily Mail reports that an IT consultant who was a regular at the hotel said, ‘A group of us were meant to be meeting in the bar and they said: “We can’t serve alcohol anymore.”
‘When I contacted the manager to ask why, he told me that the new owner wanted it to be a Sharia law hotel. Under Sharia law, you can’t make a profit from alcohol.’

Perhaps more famously for THEGAYUK’s readership, the hotel was the setting to Hotel GB, which starred a host of Channel 4 celebrities, including Doctor Christian Jessen in 2012.

Hotel GB was a TV experiment, which saw the hotel, staffed by a mix of British unemployed trainees in a hope to get Britain working again. Guests had the option to pay or not to pay depending on what they thought of the service.

    SHARIA WHAT DOES IT MEAN:
Islam’s legal system, derived from the Koran
Informs every aspect of Muslims’ lives
Islamic jurists issue formal guidance through fatwas, or religious edicts
Sharia law includes provisions for capital and corporal punishment but modern scholars say getting to that stage can be difficult
Marriage is treated as a contract in Islam

    BOYCOTT?
Earlier this year the Brunei chain of hotels The Dorchester Collection faced a world-wide boycott, headed by a number of high-profile VIPs including Anna Wintour, after the chain’s owner, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei said he wanted to run this Country under Sharia law – a law that could see LGBT face harsh punishments including stoning.

Robert Holland General Manager and spokesperson for Bespoke said,

‘Bermondsey Square Hotel is still operated by Bespoke Hotels, as it has been since it opened in 2009. We have recently made decisions to change some elements of the business, as any business owner is entitled to do. These are in the best interests of the future of the hotel. We always have, and continue to, welcome guests of all shapes, sizes and denomination.

‘The hotel is privately owned and we do not discuss ownership of the properties Bespoke operates.’

  • Unconfirmed Reports That Iran Hanged Two Gay Men For ‘Perversion’

Activists say that two gay men have been executed in Iran for “Perversion”

The Washington Freebeacon is reporting that activists, who are tracking the situation, claim that two gay men have been hanged in Iran on Sunday and a third has been sentenced for “insulting the prophet.”

The two men were held in a prison near Rasht. Iran is still one of the only countries that has a capital punishment for homosexuality. Its legal system is based on Islamic law or sharia.

Until Sunday there had been no reports of executions in Iran for being gay since 2005, (when Mahmoud Asgari,16, and Ayaz Marhoni, 18 were publicly hanged), despite it being an activity which carries a death penalty.

The Washington Freebeacon also reports that ‘Iranian authorities have hanged 40 individuals in a two-week period. Iran is executing at least two people a day, according to activists.’

According to Banafsheh Zand, an Iranian political and human rights activist, not much is known about these executions because the Iranian authorities are sweeping the hangings ‘under the rug’.

We’ve not been able to confirm these reports.

  • Somalian Teen Allegedly Stoned To Death For Being Gay

An eighteen year old gay man was allegedly stoned to death as a punishment for homosexual acts, a gay Muslim group as said, in a horrifying story that was originally published by Identity Kenya.

According to Somali Gay Community, Mohamed Ali Basshi was buried in a hole up to his chest while rocks were hurled at him by members of Al Qaeda linked group Al Shabaab on Friday, March 15, in Barawe, about 50 miles from the capital, Mogadishu.

The group have published these pictures via its Facebook group from the alleged stoning. (Warning Pictures are graphic.)

The pictures could not be independently verified by identity Kenya for authenticity.

The pictures come with the following statement: ‘Mohamed Ali Baashi ,18 years old gay boy, was buried in a hole up to his chest and then pelted with rocks by fighters from the rebel ALQAEDA Link group…

‘In a scene straight out of the Dark Ages, this Somali young man accused of Sodomy was stoned to death by Islamic thugs while horrified villagers were forced to watch.’

A rebel judge announced that Baashi, along with an accused murderer, had confessed to their crimes but the murderer received a more lenient punishment. According to the judge, “the one that kill some’one [sic] will be shot because homosexuality is more punishable in Islam.”

The African country of Somalia is one of over 76 countries where Homosexuality is illegal and is punishable by up to three years in prison.
