Swapping it up Davide was wearing black wings instead of white wings he sported at his first audition.

Singing Titanium the Italian singer, who appeared in the Italian version of the X FACTOR, couldn’t unzip his black costume during his performance to reveal a T-shirt that said, “don’t be afraid”.

He told the judges that he was singing a song that would “tell them his story” with the song.

Yesterday Davide added his voice the growing number of people who are paying tribute to a 16-year-old boy named Aleandro, in Italy who was allegedly killed during a homophobic attack. He said on Facebook:

“I want to add my voice to the people who are paying in these hours a last farewell to Aleandro, Italian boy of 16 years, killed by the people ignorant and bad”
