Andrew Doyle brings his new show to Soho Theatre following the success of his 2011 show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year – Andrew Doyle’s Crash Course In Depravity – with a show about life, love, learning and….nuns.

This is the story of the life that flashed in front of one gay comedian’s eyes when he found himself up to his waist in mud with the tide fast approaching and not a lifeguard in sight.

Andrew’s debut solo stand-up show at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Andrew Doyle’s Crash Course in Depravity, enjoyed critical acclaim and sell-out performances. He was a finalist in the 2010 Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Award. He also supported Perrier award-winner Scott Capurro on his UK tours in 2010 and 2011. Andrew’s other previous Edinburgh shows include Christie & Doyle’s Axis of Evil (with Bridget Christie) at the Underbelly in 2005, The Holy Trinity in 2009 (compilation stand-up show for the PBH Free Fringe), Sex and Hugs and Forward Rolls in 2010 for the Five Pound Fringe, and the Shakespearean farce Shamlet, which was a sell-out show at C Venues in 2003, later transferring to the King’s Head Theatre in London in 2006. He was also the principal writer on Pop Tarts, a sketch show which enjoyed a total sell-out run at the Pleasance Courtyard in 2003. His play Borderland toured throughout major venues in Scotland in 2005 and is published by Oberon Books.

Andrew has also written two comedy plays for BBC Radio 4: Jimmy Murphy Makes Amends (2008) and The Second Mr Bailey (2010).
