Don’t Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves is a 3×60-minute drama series about love in the shadow of AIDS, set in Stockholm in the 1980s. Read our review of the first episode here


When Rasmus and Benjamin meet at a party they fall instantly and deeply in love. For a short time their happiness continues until suddenly young men start to get sick, fade away and die. AIDS has come to Stockholm and nothing will ever be the same.

The series has been acquired for BBC Four by BBC’s Head of Acquisitions, Sue Deeks, who says:
