  • BREXIT: This gay holiday company just promised a “no deal” deal

    Gay holiday makers don’t have to fret if the UK crashes out of EU in March with no deal as this holiday company promises to not raise the cost of holidays.

    The Lotus Tree, the longest-running gay guesthouse in the south of France, which is British run, is promising its UK guests that the price of their summer holidays will be unaffected even if we crash out of the EU without a deal.

    A gay guesthouse in the South of France has declared that it has a deal – even if the UK doesn’t. The offer, only open to those with a UK bank account, promises not raise the cost of holidays – and they’ll even cover the cost of a visa if it becomes a requirement.

    “It’s the first Brexit promise you can actually believe,” according to owner James Proctor.

    “Some people might worry that if Britain crashes out of the EU and the pound plummets then the price of their holiday will skyrocket,” says James. “So we’re saying you can book now at today’s prices and we’ll guarantee no increases at all.

    “Here at The Lotus Tree we’ve always thought Brexit was a bad idea. But we get loads of British guests every year and we don’t see why they should suffer no matter what happens.

    “Even in the worse case scenario, if UK citizens have to pay for a visa waiver, we’ll cover the cost of that too. We believe in totally stress-free holidays so we’re saying you can come and relax in the sunshine of the south of France and forget all about what’s going on back home.”

    Guests can pay for their holidays in pounds with the price guaranteed at the time of booking. The ‘Brexit-Buster Deal’ is available to anybody with a UK bank account.

    The Lotus Tree has been hugely popular with gay travellers from the UK since it opened in 2001. With English-speaking staff and a full range of British TV channels available in all the rooms and studios, it claims to be a real ‘home from home’.

    With a dollar hanging out of his undies, The Comeback star Jimmy Fowlie has joked that 2019 is all about the $$$. In fact, he’s made $2 in his brand new get rich scheme.

    However, some fans were concerned that he had only managed to raise just $2. One commented, “what an amazing pic. I don’t understand why you only have 2 dollars… those should both be hundred dollar bills”. Another quipped “I have a nickle with your name on it”.

    The Go-Go Boy Interrupted producer appeared in the picture, taken by renowned photographer Daveland wearing nothing but a pair of undies with a dollar bill poking out the top. He completed the look with a gold chain around his neck.

    EastEnders’ are thinking about opening a gay bar in Albert Square

    An LGBT+ venue could open up on Albert Square.

    The BBC are ramping up efforts to get a more diverse cast into EastEnders and it has been revealed that there’s a vision for a gay bar to open on the UK’s most famous Square.

    Kate Oates who serves as a senior executive producer on the BBC flagship soap has revealed that there are plans to make Eastenders more diverse and reflective of the London diverse population and revealed that she’s excited to add more LGBT+ characters to the show.

    Answering fans’ questions about the show, Oates said, “We are looking at opening a gay bar on the square which will be a super-cool precinct where gay and straight characters can all just hang out, and loads of stories can cross and should just be something really exciting, really fun, really visual and feel really true to multicultural London.

    How many gay people are there in the UK?

    There has long been a widely-held belief that around 10 percent of the UK’s population is gay, lesbian or bisexual or who identify as non-heterosexual. This is probably the most accurate of all the figures – as more and more people feel comfortable to come out about their sexuality.

    The most up-to-date statistics from healthcare company Euroclinix show that six percent of people identify as homosexual while seven percent of people identify as bisexual. This equates to 13 per cent of the population identifying as either gay, lesbian or bisexual. EuroClinix surveyed 2,000 people around the UK to find out more about the sex lives of Brits.

    The current population in the UK is estimated to be 66.02 million people, which means that there are over 8.58 million gay, lesbian or bisexual people in the UK if you take that 13 percent statistic.

    There must be something in the water in Celebland as Ricky Martin and his husband, Jwan have just announced they are daddies again.

    Ricky Martin has become a father with his husband, Jwan. Taking to Instagram the singer revealed that the pair were “beyond happy” and had become fathers to a beautiful baby girl.

    That takes the Martin-Yosef brood up to three children, although Ricky’s first two children were born before Jwan and he tied the knot.

    Ricky revealed on Instagram that they had become parents to a “beautiful and healthy baby girl”,  who they named Lucia Martin-Yosef. The singer said, “It has been a special time for us and we cant wait to see where this stellar baby will take us. Both her beautiful brothers and me and Jwan have fallen in love with Lucia”

    The post was uploaded on New Year Day and has receieved over 1.3 million likes.

    Star of Paris Is Burning Hector Xtravaganza has died

    One of the last remaining cast members of Paris Is Burning, Hector Xtravaganza has died at the age of 60.

    Hector Xtravaganza has sadly passed away at the age of 60. His death was announced on the House of Xtravaganza’s facebook page last night.

    In a message on the page he was described as a “corner stone” of the family house.

    “It is with profound sadness the House of Xtravaganza family announce the passing of our beloved Grandfather Hector.

    “He was a friend to everyone he met, a source of inspiration for all who knew him, and a cornerstone of our House family. Arrangements for a celebration of Hector’s life will be shared in the coming days.’

    Hector who was a dancer and AIDS activist, was a founding member of the House of Xtravaganza since its formation in 1982. It became the first Latino house in the New York ballroom scene. He served the house twice as its father.

    He was best known for his uncredited role in Paris Is Burning and for 2018’s hit series, Pose, in which he played himself.

    No cause of death has been released.

    Xtravaganza tragedy

    The house has suffered anumber of tragedies, the first was when Venus Xtravaganza was killed before the end of filming and release of Paris Is Burning.

    Her body was discovered under a bed at the Duchess Hotel in New York according to her House mother Angie Xtravaganza. She had been strangled. Her body was discovered four days after her death. Her killer has never been found and her death remains an open, unsolved crime. According to the New York Post, New York has about 9000 unsolved murders since 1985.

    Then in 1993 Angie Xtravaganza died three years after the film’s release. She was a founding member of the House of Xtravaganza and house mother to Venus Xtravaganza. She died at the age of 28 from an AIDS-related liver disease.

    It wasn’t that long ago that we questioned why RuPaul never shows off her legs and it appears as though she may have heard our moans.

    Gus Kenworthy shared an epic judges’ photo on Instagram from when he appeared on the latest season of All-Stars as a guest judge. In the usual line up photo of the judges, which always features RuPaul and Michelle Visage, Gus appeared alongside the other guest judges including Keiynan Lonsdale .

    Gus was keen to point out how tall RuPaul was compared to the rest of the judges calling the show “Ru’s Tall Drag Race”! He shared that being part of the judge panel for the episode was a “literal dream come true”.

    Austin Armacost’s latest photo got fans confused – thinking that he had revealed a bit too much!

    Celebrity Big Brother star Austin Armacost is never afraid to shed a few clothes for his fans but this latest picture has got viewers doing a double take as he shows off a new range of undies, called Surge. The latest picture, posted to Instagram, Austin is showcasing a pair of grey briefs, however, it looks as though he’s accidentally shared a bit too much, with a tattoo looking like the tip of his penis poking out the side of his undies.

    It is, in fact, a tattoo, but it’s pink and looks, at first glance, like the head of a penis!

    Fans were quick to respond to the picture with many having to take a second and closer look at the photo the reality TV star had uploaded,

    One user pointed out “Your tattoo looks like your tip is peaking out” another fan added, “At a quick glance, it looks like your tip is showing”.

    Others were more amused by Austin’s “hangage” with one pointing out that it must have been warm in the studio because there’s a lot of “hangage”.

    Woof.

    David Walliams has shared a precious memory with his fans, of him and the late Dale Winton after a tea date in London.

    Britain’s Got Talent judge, David Walliams has taken to Twitter to share a picture of him and the late Dale Winton, taken by a fan.

    The picture shows the two TV stars sitting in an open topped car, with Dale in the driver’s seat. The pair had just finished tea at the Wolseley in London, which was apparently, a favoruite haunt of the former Supermarket Sweep presenter.

    The duo’s friendship goes back past 2006. Here they are seen together attending the civil partnership of David’s comedy partner Matt Lucas and Kevin McGee

    Speaking about his friend, David said that Dale was happy to pose for the picture and was always looking to make people happy.

    Dale Winton passed away earlier in 2018 from natural causes.

    Captioning the picture, David wrote, “Someone I didn’t know just sent me this & it brought back a happy memory. I remember me & Dale Winton had just had tea at the Wolseley in London, his favourite place. A lady in a passing car recognised him & he was delighted to pose for her. Dale loved making everyone happy.”

  • AJ Pritchard and brother hospitalised after unprovoked attack

    Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard and his brother have been hospitalised after an attack at a Cheshire nightclub.

    AJ Pritchard is recovering after he and his brother were attacked in a Cheshire nightclub. The pair were enjoying a night out with friends when the unprovoked attack, by up to eight men happened.

    AJ was left with severe bruising and cuts. His brother Curtis, who is also a professional dancer is undergoing an emergency operation on his knee. Curtis stars in the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars.

    A spokesperson for the brothers told The Sun: “AJ and Curtis were assaulted in an unprovoked attack. Curtis is to undergo an emergency operation to correct damage to his knee. AJ received bruising to his face, arms, body and legs.”

    According to the Sun, one witness to the events said,

    “The brothers were having a relaxed evening with friends and AJ was posing for selfies with a few fans.

    “But the eight lads took a disliking to the brothers and pushed Curtis hard. Then they started punching them, like they were possessed.

    “Curtis had fallen to his knees and was being punched in the face and body. They were also punching AJ in his face, in his ribs and legs. AJ dragged Curtis out of the circle and pulled him to another part of the club.

    Police in Cheshire said, “The four victims were taken to hospital for treatment. All have since been discharged.

    “Officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Crewe on suspicion of assault. He has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.”

    Lawmakers in Switzerland have voted to make transphobia and homophobia an offence which could land the perp 3 years in jail.

    Switzerland is taking a tough stance on homophobia and transphobia after voting to make the crime’s punishment attract up to three years in jail. It means that the punishment for homophobia is now in line with that of racism in the country.

    However, the bill still needs to be passed by the Council Of States before it becomes official law.

    Mathias Reynard put the law forward and posted on Twitter “A magnificent success for human rights! Final response in December to the Council of States. # LGBT ?️???.”

    “Powerful Message”

    Speaking to Shortlist Mathias said, “The Swiss Parliament’s decision is great news because it sends the powerful message that homophobia is not an opinion; as for racism, it’s a violation of the law.

    “I tabled the motion after speaking to friends of mine who have personally been victims of verbal and physical homophobic violence.

    “And working on this law I found out that the Swiss case-law doesn’t punish either hate speech or incitement to hatred towards LGBT+ people. During the last few years, this loophole in the law has been pointed out several times at an international level.”

    However it’s interesting to note that gay marriage is still illegal in the country and full child adoption by gay couples is also banned.

    Singer Lloyd Daniels just posted the cutest picture of his BF and it’s given us relationship goals.

    Former X Factor star Lloyd Daniels just posted a selfie picture with his BF Jack, and it was cute AF. The pair, who have been together for over a year shared the Christmasy snap on Instagram.

    In the picture, Lloyd wrote, “I hope your Christmas was as good as mine..”

    Fans were quick to congrat the couple on a cute picture with one saying that the picture really “melts my heart”. Another added what a “handsome pair” the duo made and another commented, “beautiful boys”.

    Back in May, Welsh-born Lloyd made the announcement of their relationship someone what formal, when he wrote, “365 days better off” and posted a picture of him and Jack together.
