The ban does not include travellers who have already got a green card.

Nearly 500,000 people have signed a petition calling on the UK Government to prevent Donald Trump from making a state visit to the United Kingdom. The petition will be considered for debate in Parliament and will get an official response from the Government.

11 natural ways to whitening your teeth

Want some pearly whites but don’t want to spend a fortune? Dentist to the stars, Dr Richard Marques, who counts Nick Grimshaw as one of his clients, gives us 11 top tips on how to naturally whitening your teeth.

    1. Use Baking Soda!: Baking Soda is a natural teeth whitener and included in many toothpastes (such as the Arm&Hammer brands). Try mixing a quarter teaspoon of Baking Soda with water and applying this to the teeth with your toothbrush. Alternatively, add the Baking Soda to a cheap toothpaste. It will not damage your teeth in any way but will make them look gradually whiter over time. Science-Baking Soda is a natural cleaning and oxidising agent.

    2. Eat strawberries: due to the Malic acid, these can naturally whiten your teeth. Science-Malic acid is a natural cleanser.

    3. Warm salt water: helps both whiten your teeth naturally and looks after your gums (as it is a natural antibacterial). Mix a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm kettle boiled water (cool it down) and use it as a mouthwash. Science-Salt is a natural antibacterial working by attacking bacterial cell walls.

    4. Eat white foods: the whiter the foods you eat the whiter your teeth will be. Eat chicken, rice and fish. Avoid pigmented foods such as beetroot, blueberries, carrots and Chinese/Indian takeaway (which has lots of tumeric or food colourings). Science-white foods have no colourings. Food colourings stain teeth by binding to the tooth surface.

    5. Eat apples: apples are one of the natural teeth cleansing foods. Science once again. Malic acid is a natural cleanser.

    6. Drink water or milk: you can also drink lemonade or tonic water. White wine is better than red wine.

Science: Calcium in milk helps strengthen tooth enamel and structure as well as jaw bone. Water is a natural cleanser washing away plaque.

    7. Use an electric toothbrush: electric toothbrushes can remove up to 70% more plaque than manual brushes alone. The new Sonicare Black Diamond brush vibrates at a speed of 31,000 brush strokes per minute and also has a whitening mode (that is a special 3-minute cycle for the all the teeth) to remove any stains. Science-electric toothbrushes remove more stains by vibrating or rotating in a more efficient and effective manner than manual brushing alone.

    8. Eat cheese: another great naturally cleansing food that can strengthen the teeth. Science-cheese contains calcium and also has a cleansing surface structure (especially hard cheese like cheddar).

    9. Use coconut oil as a mouth rinse (oil pulling): use a tablespoon of coconut oil and swill in the mouth for as long as you can. The longer the better (15mins is ideal time). Science-This removes bacteria and helps prevent plaque and stains from sticking to teeth by lubricating them.

    10. See your dentist regularly: to have the teeth cleaned and checked. You can also consider professional in-clinic laser teeth whitening if advised. Science-only your dentist can check thoroughly for cavities. X-Rays may be required to check the inside of the teeth and jaws. Laser teeth whitening uses hydrogen peroxide activated by a laser light to remove staining from inside the teeth in just 1 hour.

    11. Charcoal is also another effective way to help clean and whiten your teeth. It’s a 100% natural tooth polish made from activated coconut shell charcoal. It strengths gums, removes toxins from the mouth and absorbs bacteria and is affordable – Diamond Whites, for example, offers this for only £16.99

  • 28 crimes against gay men in Manchester were related to Grindr

28 crimes against gay men in Manchester were related to Grindr

A shocking freedom of information request has revealed that 28 crimes against gay and bisexual men in Manchester were related to the dating app, Grindr.

Grindr has been heavily criticised after a freedom of information request revealed that 28 crimes reported by gay and bisexual men in Manchester were related to the gay dating app. These crimes took place between 2013 and 2016.

Fourteen of those crimes resulted in rape or sexual offences against the victim. Theft, non-sexual violence and drug trafficking were also reported.

The news comes after a series of high-profile murders in 2016 including,

The serial killer Stephen Port, who used Grindr and other gay dating apps to lure his victims, all young men under the age of 25, to his home before drugging and killing them.

Stefano Brizzi also used Grindr to find his victim Gordon Semple.

In November a teenager, Ben Bamford in Sussex, was found guilty of murdering a man he found on the dating app.

John Leech, who will now lead a campaign to get dating apps to display safety notices. Speaking about Grindr and Tinder he said,

“It is completely unacceptable that neither of the two leading dating apps display safety alerts or notices at any point from download to real life use, not even anything as simple as meeting somewhere public and letting a friend know where you’re going.

“Something as serious as rape has an enormous and life-shattering impact on so many lives, from the victim to their friends, family and co-workers.

“Tinder and Grindr should not be let off the hook over such a serious and shocking lapse in care to their users.

“They must introduce safety alerts immediately and dramatically increase the safety of users, and they must do it now.”

Grindr does have a full set of tips on how to keep safe whilst using the app.

  • Lily Allen uses the word “fags”, gets blasted by Twitter users

Pop star Lily Allen used the word “fags” on Twitter and now knows not to do it again (unless of course, she isn’t paying attention)

British singer, Lily Allen used the word “fags” on Twitter and got a response, trouble was it probably wasn’t the one that she was hoping for. Her Tweet, “Fags Hate Trump” did not go down well, it’s fair to say.

It was all to do with promoting her new song, a cover of Rufus Wainwright’s “Going To A Town,” which is, apparently a protest song against President Trump.

In the video that accompanies the song, placards with the slogan “Fags Hate Trump” are seen. A fact which was pointed out by long-time gay rights activist Peter Tatchell.

The singer was swiftly admonished by many in the community. Some called the singer homophobic.

Roxane Gay pulls her forthcoming book from same publisher as Milo Yiannopoulos

Author Roxane Gay has decided not to have her book published by the same publisher as Milo Yiannopoulos.

The Bad Feminist writer, Roxanne Gay has decided to ditch Simon & Schuster as her forthcoming book’s publisher over a decision by another of their imprints to publish Milo Yiannopoulos’s forthcoming book, Dangerous, which is due out in March 2017.

How To Be Heard was due to be published by TED Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster in March 2018. Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Roxane said that she asked her agent, Maria Massie to “pull the project” last week saying that she couldn’t in “good conscience” let them publish the book, whilst they also had the rights to Milo’s book.

She said she was putting her “money where her mouth is”.

“I kept thinking about how egregious it is to give someone like Milo a platform for his blunt, inelegant hate and provocation. I just couldn’t bring myself to turn the book in. My editor emailed me last week and I kept staring at that email in my inbox and finally over the weekend I asked my agent to pull the book.”

Simon & Schuster’s CEO claimed that Milo’s book would not contain hate speech.

The book has not found another publisher yet.

  • One guy asked whether size matters…

One guy asked whether size matters…

A journalism student asked members of Reddit about their thoughts on penis size. He asked women and gay men to comment on their thoughts of small penis size, how they react to them and how they get frisky with one.

The man was deluged by responses. In fact, he got over 6152 comments.

So what were some of the most surprising responses?

    1. Considering my ridiculously sensitive gag reflex I wouldn’t mind a smaller one now and then.

    2. I’m a gay guy and I actually prefer smaller penises. I’m a top for one thing, so maybe that skews my preference. I feel like I can give more pleasure to a guy with a smaller penis simply because I can get a hold of more of it at a time. More fun to play with maybe? I’d much rather be with someone who is less than say, 5-6″ (average). The massive ones you see in porn, no thanks.

    3. Don’t worry about dick sizes. I’ve been with 8 guys and ventured to a bath-house once (no, didn’t get with all 8 guys there!). Most guys do NOT have anything to be proud of. Porn dicks are the equivalent of a model’s weight to females: very few actually “have the goods” yet everyone worries about it.

    4. Bottom/vers here. There is a definite “golden zone” in terms of length/girth. Too small and you don’t feel anything, too big and it hurts like hell. That isn’t really a “getting used to it” thing, either – unless you specifically go out to train yourself to take big dicks or fists (which I haven’t, because you run a real risk of prolapse) there’s a hard limit at around 9-10″ where it hits the top of your colon and around 2.5″ diameter where it hits your pubic bone (I think. Something hard, anyway.)

    5. The first guy I dated was smaller than average, but it was no big deal. A guy I went on a couple dates with a few years ago had what may be considered a micro penis …When erect he couldn’t get a condom on it because it just rolled back off and there was no actual penetration despite the effort. It made me extremely uncomfortable and because I’d never experienced anything like it, I panicked and broke up with him not long after. I realize that he couldn’t help it, but I had only had sex with one guy before him and it kind of freaked me out. Looking at it now, I feel bad for the guy, but he’s engaged to somebody so it obviously didn’t hurt him too much.

    6. This may sound very mean but I hope they’re not “waiting for marriage” to have sex. Having a dick that small is something both partners need to be comfortable with to make it work.

    7. My first guyI was with had a very large penis. So large I could not enjoy sex, it hurt to bad. The next guy was average and sex was good. The next guy was so small, I am grateful he could not see my face when I pulled it out. I was actually disgusted at that moment. But it turned out he knew how to use it! Two years together and not once did I give that tiny dick a second thought. I am now married and my husband is a perfect size.

    8. Gay guy here. Prefer 3-4 inches. Anything upwards of 6 inches hurts my ass and I hate it more than anything else. Also, I don’t see the point of choking on a dick. It’s not fun, you cough and mucus comes out of your nose while you’re trying to look sexy sucking a dick. So yeah, small penises ftw.

    9. I think the size you have is perfect. Mine is about 5.5 and my partner is the same as yours. (gay obviously) I like it because it’s not intimidating, I can get it all in my mouth, and he really knows how to work it. I honestly don’t like big penises. They’re scary and painful.

    In summary, he said,

“I came to the conclusion I had before even posting, 1. Whether or not your penis is too big or too small, it’s dependent on your partner. 2. Size matters to a very minimal extent, what really matters is how you perform and make up for it. 3. There is still faith in humanity.

“Thank you for being so open and sharing your personal stories”.
