    Katie Hopkins Wants Her 7-Year-Old Son To Be Gay

    Katie Hopkins has written about how she wants her 7-year-old son to be gay and has revealed how she’s going to make it happen.

    LBC radio presenter and columnist for the Daily Mail Katie Hopkins wants her 7-year-old son to be gay and writing in her column has revealed how she’s helping him to achieve it by playing Kylie to him whilst he dances.

    Although she blasted the BBC for turning an adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream into a PC lecture, because writer Russell T. Davies had changed some of the characters into gay characters, she still said that she hopes her son, aged 7, would grow up to be gay.

    In her column Katie managed to re-enforce several stereotypes about gay men, including listening to Kylie Minogue, being gym obsessed, and her hopes that one day he’d be able to “dress (her) with style”.

    Speaking about her son, Katie wrote,

    I hope my son will be gay.

    He can dance and is proud of his six-pack at seven, which I am taking as a positive sign.

    I play Kylie to him in the kitchen to show him the way. I hope one day when I am older, perhaps he will finally teach me how to dress with style.

    Whether Katie Hopkins is a “gay icon” is a deeply contested issue in the gay community with many believing that she is – whilst others, disagree.

    Michelle Visage told TheGayUK earlier in the year that Katie could have had the chance to become an icon after her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother and her relationship with Perez Hilton made her a popular contestant on the show, but ruined it with her divisive views.

    Recently Katie Hopkins likened her new look of shortened, cropped hair to Julian Clary.

    She had her hair cut after she underwent brain surgery to help with her epilepsy.

    Sadiq Khan is the MP for Tooting in London. During his term in office he has, according to theyworkforyou.com,  “almost always voted for equal gay rights.”

    In 2007 he voted Yes on the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation), in 2013 he voted in favour of allowing same-sex couples to marry – but was absent for its third reading.

    In 2014, he voted to “enable the courts to deal with proceedings for the divorce of, or annulment of the marriage of, a same-sex couple” and in 2015 he voted to make “same-sex marriage available to armed forces personnel outside the UK.”

    Katie Hopkins Doesn’t Want Shakespeare “Queered” Up

    Outspoken columnist and radio presenter Katie Hopkins has used her column to blast Russell T Davies’ adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream for the BBC.

    Gay icon wannabe Katie Hopkins has used her Daily Mail column to blast Russell T Davies’ adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the BBC. In his new adaptation the Queer As Folk creator has updated the story to include same-sex partners and a lesbian kiss.

    The 90-minute film is due to air on the Bank Holiday weekend.

    Russell T. Davies who also created the BAFTA nominated Cucumber for Channel 4, was commissioned by the BBC to give A Midsummer Night’s Dream a modern twist,

    Speaking about his vision for the production Davies said,

    “…It’s 2016; that’s the world now,

    “Only idiots might have a problem with that.”

    Outlining what she assumes to be her pro-gay credentials first, Katie Hopkins said that she wanted her 7-year-old son to be gay – and often played Kylie to him “to show him the way”, but didn’t want the BBC to turn “everything into a politically correct lecture”, and warned that there are somethings you never mess with, Shakespeare being one of them.

    She continued,

    “Before the LGBT community start running for a safe space, be reassured I fully support the right of everyone to be whatever they like. Even if that is a man, dressed as a woman, who identifies as gender neutral but still fancies his mum.

    “I have performed at Gay Porn Idol, and loved every sequinned minute. I do drag well.

    “I hope my son will be gay. He can dance and is proud of his six-pack at seven, which I am taking as a positive sign. I play Kylie to him in the kitchen to show him the way. I hope one day when I am older, perhaps he will finally teach me how to dress with style.

    She blasted the BBC saying that the corporation was “pursuing a left-wing liberal agenda”.

    She continued,

    “I don’t want Shakespeare queered-up so you feel more at home. And if you’ve got a problem with that, I couldn’t give a flying Puck.”

    The star shared the candid shot whilst in bed, saying that he felt “artistic”.

    Colton is the second actor to come out as gay in the TV show Teen Wolf after Charlie Carver came out in January, earlier this year.

    Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Colton about his official coming out he said,

    “I should have made a comment or a statement, but I just wasn’t ready. I didn’t feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they’re ready, and I wasn’t yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said…People who are so judgmental about those who are gay or different don’t realize that acting 24 hours a day is the most exhausting thing in the world.

    “It took me so long to get to this point, but I’m doing so good. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and healthier than I’ve ever been, and that’s what I care about.”

  • NHS Will Cover The Cost Of PEP But Will It Stretch To PrEP

    NHS England have confirmed responsibility for funding post exposure prophylaxis (PEP), a treatment that can prevent HIV infection after the virus has entered a person’s body.

    However, the battle continues to see NHS England accept the same responsibility for funding PrEP – a game-changing treatment that is taken before exposure to HIV. Earlier this year NHS England shelved structured plans for PrEP availability on the NHS, but then last week said they “will carefully consider its position on commissioning PrEP”.

    Ian Green, Chief Executive at Terrence Higgins Trust, said:

    “We are pleased that NHS England has finally been clear on their responsibility for reimbursing local authorities for antiretroviral drugs used to prevent HIV infection after exposure to the virus.

    “What remains to be seen is whether they will accept the same responsibility for funding PrEP, a pill taken once a day by HIV negative people who are at high risk to prevent transmission.

    “Every day that access to PrEP is delayed, seven men who have sex with men are infected with HIV, despite advances in HIV prevention. We need answers from NHS England on if and when access to PrEP will be available to those who are at highest risk. Only then can NHS England make a full commitment to HIV prevention.”

    Teen Wolf hunk Colton Haynes has officially come out in an Entertainment Weekly interview in which he said he’s the happiest he’s ever been.

    The hunk sort of semi-came out earlier in the year through a Tumblr post when he suggested that it was no secret that he way gay.

    Colton is the second actor to come out as openly gay in the TV show Teen Wolf after Charlie Carver came out in January, earlier this year.

    Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Colton said,

    Anti-gay or homophobic slurs are still a big issue on social media.

    Homophobic words like faggot, “no homo”, “so gay” and Dyke are used being used over 13,000 times a day or 541 insults an hour, on Twitter alone.

    Nohomophobes.com a website set up in September 2012 to log all uses of the words faggot, “no homo”, “so gay” and Dyke on Twitter in real-time, is reporting that those words have been used nearly 61,000,000 times in 3 and a half years.

    The word faggot accounts for over half of all of the homophobic language that is Tweeted on Twitter.

    Although the trend has been downward since January 2014, alarmingly the use of the word faggot is used thousands of times a day on the social media platform.

    Since around June 2015, the levels at which the anti-gay slurs are tweeted have levelled out but still remain shockingly high.

    When the site was launched in September 2012, Dr. Kristopher Wells from NoHomophobes.com told us,

    “We no longer tolerate racist language, weʼre getting better at dealing with sexist language, but sadly we still see and hear homophobic and transphobic language in our society,

    “While this language might not always be meant to be hurtful, we must not forget that words like “faggot” contribute greatly to the continued alienation and isolation of sexual and gender (LGBTQ) people, especially our youth.”
