A gay man living in Chechnya on Monday went public to describe his detention and torture by police during a crackdown on homosexuals in the region ruled by strongman Ramzan Kadryov.
Maxim Lapunov, who gave a press conference in Moscow, is the first victim to come forward since reports emerged in March of gay men being imprisoned and beaten in the mainly Muslim region where homosexuality is taboo. (more…)
Donald Trump loves reminding his underlings who is in charge, and gets a kick out of joking about Mike Pence’s bigoted, anti- gay ideologies to his face. Those are just two examples from an inside look at the pair’s relationship, as well as the vice president’s rise to the White House, published in a bombshell New Yorker article Monday morning. Hustler Magazine founder, Larry Flynt has offered $10M to anyone who can provide information that leads to the impeachment and removal from office of President Trump.
Larry Flint has launched a campaign to find information that can lead to the impeachment of a president he has called “illegitimate” before slamming the US’s electoral system as “antiquated”.
The ad says,
Larry Flynt and the Hustler(R) Magazine announce a cash offer of up to $10 million for the information leading to the impeachment and removal from office of Donald J. Trump.
Flynt tweeted the ad from his account, which has now been retweeted 76,000 times and liked over 150,000 times. The ad was also placed in the Sunday edition of the Washington Post saying that… “impeachment would be a messy, contentious affair, but the alternative — three more years of destabilizing dysfunction — is worse”.
A freephone helpline has been set up to obtain information that could lead to the impeachment of Donald J Trump, the 45th President of the USA.
TOLL FREE
In the ad, Flynt writes that he’s seeking anyone who could provide a “smoking gun” and suggests that info could be buried away in Trump’s financial affairs. He also asks if Trump made “some financial quid pro quo with the Russians?”
Anyone with information is invited to call a freephone number which would be hosted for two weeks.
A PLAN THAT WORKS?
This is not the first time that Flynt has pulled off a stunt like this. In 2007 he offered $1million for information on anyone who had a sexual affair with a member of Congress or government official and again in 1998 offered $1million for information – which eventually led to the resignation of Republican Congressman Bob Livingston, who was in line to be speaker of the House.
In 2012 he offered $1million for then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s tax returns.

A woman in Wigan has been jailed for the murder of her girlfriend, following a campaign of domestic abuse.
Becky Reid (7/11/84) of Hayward Road, Atherton was found guilty of the murder of Lyndsey Vaux, and section 18 assault relating to another woman, aged 37, after a trial at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square.
Reid received a life sentence for the murder of her former partner Lyndsey Vaux, 30, a mother-of-one, and will serve a minimum of 20 years.
On Sunday 22 May 2016, Lyndsey Vaux from Platt Bridge was taken to hospital in suspected cardiac arrest, where she sadly died later that morning.
A Home Office post-mortem found that Lyndsey had died from multiple injuries and police launched an investigation into her death.
Campaign of Domestic Abuse
During the trial, the court heard how in 2014 Lyndsey lived with Becky Reid on Sydney Street in Platt Bridge. Over a number of years, Lyndsey was attacked and abused by Reid, with neighbours seeing her around the area with many different injuries including black eyes, cuts to the lip, a cauliflower ear, bruising to the face and body, and a heavy limp.
Specific attacks were also seen with the court hearing how neighbours witnessed Becky Reid attacking Lyndsey in the street more than once.
On one occasion, Lyndsey tried to walk away, but Becky punched her in the face, and she fell to the floor, pleading with her to stop. Becky continued to attack her and stamped on her face and body, whilst Lyndsey lay in the road.
On another occasion, Lyndsey was stood in front of her house and Becky Reid was stood in the doorway. She attacked Lyndsey, punching and kicking her as she lay on the pavement, before dragging her into the house.
The court also heard how mother and daughter, Gillian and Becky Reid also attacked another woman in 2008 causing her facial fractures.
Senior Investigating Officer Bob Tonge of GMP’s Major Incident Support Unit said, “Lyndsey Vaux was subjected to years of horrific domestic abuse at the hands of her girlfriend, and no decision made here today can bring her back.
“Some neighbours knew about this abuse and did nothing. Had they given us the information that they gave us after Lyndsey’s murder then we could have saved her life, and this should act as a stark reminder that we all have a responsibility to stand up to this kind of crime.
“We’re working extremely hard to tackle domestic abuse in the LGBT community, having introduced a specific recording method to track it and taking our frontline officers through training on how best to support victims, but we do need the public’s help to continue to tackle domestic abuse in all of our communities.
“My thoughts are with Lyndsey’s family at this difficult time, and I hope this sentence goes some way to finding them justice.”
Help for Domestic Abuse victims
Lydnsey was a victim of Reid’s “campaign of domestic abuse” she tragically died after being admitted to hospital following one attack.

Another day, another snub from America’s number 1.

President Donald Trump’s claim of being a better ally to the “gay community” is fast unravelling after failing to recognise yesterday’s National Coming Out Day. This is in stark contrast to the former President, Obama, who used social media to send a message of solidarity during his time in office.
This is just one of his failures to support or recognise LGBT people since coming into office in January 2017.
Trump didn’t mention the day at all – an echo of his failure to recognise LGBT+ Pride Month in June earlier this year, instead opted to make the month about: National Caribbean-American Heritage, African-American Music Appreciation, National Oceans, National Home Ownership, Father’s Day and National Flag week.
June had been LGBT Pride month for the past 8 years.
National Coming Out Day is an annual event, which takes place on the 11th October to celebrate and spread awareness of the process and experiences faced by LGBT+ people. The first one was celebrated in 1988.
So instead of reminding his 40 million followers on Twitter about the day, his took the opportunity to call out NBC for “fake news” and seemingly challenged their right to a broadcasting license. He also slammed NFL players who chose not to stand during the American National Anthem – a protest undertaken by many players to protest police brutality towards BAMEs.
With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!
President Donald Trump has once again failed to acknowledge a day relevant to the LGBTQ community, as he mentioned nothing about National Coming Out Day. Unlike Trump, President Barack Obama shared messages of support to the LGBTQ community during his tenure. He encouraged Americans to celebrate Pride Month and posting Twitter messages on National Coming Out… (more…)
Hollywood gossip Perez Hilton becomes a father for the third time.
Congrats are in order for Perez Hilton. The world’s most famous blogger has welcomed his third child, born by a surrogate, into the world. He shared a series super cute Instagram pictures and introduced his new daughter Mayte Amor.
In the first photo, he is joined by his mother and his moment’s old daughter, who he said arrived fashionable late at 41 weeks! He said that the birth of his new daughter made him truly thankful, humbled and indebted.
Taking to Instagram he said,
Dear friends,
A lot has changed over the past decade plus and I am so thankful, humbled, and truly indebted that you have accepted me through the fat and the fug and the then and the now. We’ve grown up together and evolved and I continue to do so – in the best way possible!
I am beaming with joy and pride as I share with you that my family has grown yet again.
Last week my son and daughter welcomed a sister into the world!
#MayteAmor was born on Wednesday, October 4th at 3:26 PM – weighing 7 lbs 4 oz, measuring 20 inches long, and she’s perfect!
Named after her grandparents – Mario & Teresita – their love will forever flow through her and protect her and all of my kids.
Grandma is over the moon and so are her siblings!
Mayte Amor waited until 41 weeks to make her fashionably late arrival. She’s doing everything a newborn should do and doing it so well. She’s a whole 7 days advanced!
Thank you to my sister for keeping everything running so smoothly on the site.
Thank you to everyone who’s reached out with love and concern over my needed social media break.
And, most importantly, thank you to the surrogate who gave me the greatest gift anyone could ever receive!
And thank you to the other two surrogates who helped us as well!
And thank you to all the surrogates who give so selflessly and whose kindness is inspiring!
There are still many states in America that, sadly, prohibit surrogacy and I hope to use my voice to advocate for making it legal across the country!
I am deliriously tired and equally happy! This is a very special time for me and my family!
Family time is the best time! Family first! They are my everything!

In a later post, Perez helped his fan pronounce his daughter’s name, Mayte, after finding out that many of them, and the hospital where Mayte was born had problems getting the name right. Mayte, he says, is a common Spanish name.
Students at Balliol, one Oxford University’s most prestigious colleges, banned the Christian Union (CU) from its Freshers’ Fair, citing homophobia and neo-colonialism as its reasoning.
The CU was banned from attending and recruiting student members at the college’s Freshers’ Fair this year after organisers said that their presence could cause harm to communities “struggling to feel welcome in Oxford.”
President of the JCR, Hubert Au, wanted the event to be a “secular environment.”
Au wrote, “Christianity’s influence on many marginalised communities has been damaging in its methods of conversion and rules of practice, and is still used in many places as an excuse for homophobia and certain forms of neo-colonialism”.
The decision was reached through discussions with the JCR Welfare subcommittee.
In the end, a general, multi-faith religious stall was allowed at the fair on the understanding that no representatives from any of the faith societies staffed it. There was a vote by students at the college, on Sunday that said the decision was a ” violation of free speech and religious freedom.” The motion prohibited the barring of official religious societies from future freshers’ fairs.
