Family Research Institute founder states same-sex marriage will shorten lifespan of gay people.
Doctor Paul Cameron, founder of the Family Research Institute has encouraged the Supreme Court of the United States, to uphold the ban on same-sex marriage in order to save homosexual couples from shortening their lifespans, because the cost of people dying younger is more, than ‘those who have the grace to die in old age.’
Rightwingwatch.com reports that: Dr Cameron unveiled his new report, which claims that gays and lesbians who are married or in civil partnerships actually die younger than their uncoupled peers.
‘The Supreme Court ought not to harm homosexuals by legitimating homosexual coupling,’ Cameron said, ‘and the psychiatric community ought to pay attention to this enormous deficit of lifespan and reopen the issue of whether or not homosexuality is a mental disability or a disorder.’
He argued that homosexuality is a “mental pathology” much like drug abuse or cigarette smoking, because it “shortens lives” and “harms its participants and harms the demographic.’
This comes less than a month after a report published by Oxford University Press reveals the exact opposite, claiming that gay men who were in same-sex marriages actually live longer than their uncoupled, divorced or single counterparts.
