Step off the central glass elevators, which over looks the impressive atrium, onto your floor. The large accommodating rooms are comfortable and the welcome plate of Welsh cheese, biscuits, fudge and a little saucy tipple went down incredibly well for two weary travellers from London on their way to Pride Cymru.
Just a short nip into town, a quick walk to the gay village, or literally a hop skip and jump to the castle and its impressive grounds, the hotel has prime position in the Welsh city.
Come morning expect an notable Hilton breakfast which includes the full English and an impressive selection of pastries, fruits and juices. Be sure to ask for a made-to-order omelet from the chef – and if you’re a vegetarian don’t forget to ask for the yummy veggie sausages.
With a late check out of 12:00PM and the trademark ‘nothing-is-too-much-hassle’ attitude from staff, the Hilton Cardiff is the only choice for accommodation in Cardiff.
The only issue, was the slightly extravagant parking charges, which was an eye watering £22 per day. However this did include free valet parking as many times as required and with no rush to have you leave the car park. This is particularly impactful if you are staying at the hotel on a Friday or Saturday when the adjacent road, and access to the nearest car park is restricted to just pedestrians.
