  • Surprise… Louis got the boys

Well, it’s that time of year again… Where the X Factor contestants are carved up like meat and slung to the judges… This time round Louis got the boys.

The boys stand waiting for their mentor to make an entrance. They have no idea that Louis is behind the door – and could lead them to X Factor victory.

In a change to the norm, Louis Walsh got the boys this year, having only officially had them once before – he also had the under 25s in one of the first shows, before the boys became their own category.

This year, though, Louis is in with a good chance of winning the series, as the boys’ category has tended to do well with the voting audience at home, with the category winning six times, more than any other category in the competition.

Surprise lads! Louis is your mentor!
Louis gives the boys a pep talk… Let the battle commence.

Usually, Louis – the longest-serving judge on the X Factor, mentors the groups, having done so 6 times in the past. Louis has taken part in every season of the X Factor, apart from two years ago, when he was replaced by Nick Grimshaw in a massive programme shakeup.

However, he and Sharon Osborne were reunited last year – when the show’s execs decided to bring back the original judging line up.

The boys will now, have to go through the six chair challenge and then be taken to the judge’s houses where they will have to impress Louis and a guest judge before they are able to appear on the live shows.

  • Those Bromans are now comparing d sizes

    “Give ’em what they want…”

Those Bromans are now comparing d sizes

We can almost hear the ITV execs screaming at the producers of Bromans – ITV2 brand new reality vehicle. Despite it being oh so very heteronormative they’ve managed to squeeze just enough gay into it, to satisfy us here at THEGAYUK.com.

In a heart to heart, two of the Bromans. Brandon and Glenn turn to the subject of peen sizes – over lunch. Well, if you are going to talk about willies, why not over a heart chilli special.

Glenn said to Brandon, “So everybody in here’s saying you’ve got a massive schlong”.

Brandon replied, “Tom loves it, he was literally going on about it, saying, ‘You’re the most longest I’ve ever seen, how do you do it?” I was like, ‘I don’t know I think it’s just natural’.”

Glenn, whose interest was piqued, asked, “How big is it?”, ever the man after our own hearts…
“It’s a bit like the chilli,” Brandon shot back.

And then that’s when this happened.

What ensued was basically porn, as Brandon fed Glenn his chilli. We sh*t you not.

Glenn revealed that his friends call him “Girthy Glenn…” – a picture we can not/do not want to get out of our heads.

  • The Bromans all got bare within 5 minutes

I mean what are we watching exactly…

The Bromans all got bare within 5 minutes

So ITV2’s new reality show, Bromans, you can catch up with the first episode on the ITV hub, seems to have lots of ridiculously hot straight couples, doing Roman type things and not wearing very much (which, of course, we don’t mind at all). In fact, for us, it’s the only reason to be watching.

The first episode had the boys take off all their clothes – within the first five minutes – which resulted in a lot of peen show. The girls then had to dig around in the dirt to find their respective partner’s Roman outfits – which also didn’t leave much to the imagination.

So get your peepers around these rather hot guys in their altogether!

So if you want to see men in the altogether and their girlfriends digging around in the dirt – then this is the programme for you.

  • X Factor is back and with the worst ratings since 2004

Oh dear, Simon Cowell won’t be happy!

    x factor ratings are down

X Factor is back and apparently has suffered the worst launch ratings since 2004 with an average of 6 million people tuning in, according to Digital Spy.

The 14th series launched on Saturday with judges, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osborne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon, a usually winning combination, but it failed to get the numbers in – with the show’s audience rivalling that of the 2004 launch. Last year’s launch had 6.8 million people watching.

Those ratings are expected to rise after all catch up streams are accounted for.

But it must be a worry for ITV bosses as the BBC’s rival, Strictly Come Dancing hasn’t even started yet!

It’s a far cry from the near 11 million people who would tune in during the show’s peak and, we’re sure,  it won’t be long before people are calling for the show’s axe.

  • Guess what starts tonight… GBBO – and we’re all over it

    Bake… Wake… ‘eaven’s sake…

Great British Bake Off starts tonight and we’re getting all our eggs, flour and cookie cutting implements ready and in a row. So what do we know about the show that Channel 4 blew a lot of dough (sorry not sorry) on.

Over the next 10 weeks, 12 of the best amateur bakers in Britain will whisk, knead, ice, beat and bake their way through classic British cakes, perfect patisserie, Italian delights, sticky caramel constructions and elaborate layered puddings.

All Twelve will be hoping to impress with their skill, creativity, knowledge and passion and clinch the Bake off Crown.

There are 30, yes 30 challenges!

Each of the 30 new challenges have been carefully designed by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith to reveal just who is a star baker.

    Who is the talent?

But it’s not just a new experience for the bakers. Also joining the tent for the first time are Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, who will be with the bakers every step of the way, ready with a pertinent pep talk, a helpful hand or just a sympathetic shoulder to cry on…

    Who are the bakers?

Find out all about the bakers here.

What time does it start and what channel?

Great British Bake Off starts on the 29th August and carries on for 10 weeks on Channel 4 at 8 PM.

  • Nope… There won’t be any gays on Love Island

    “The format doesn’t allow it”

So there you go… hopes, dreams dashed in a heartbeat – after ITV has “categorically ruled out” that there could be LGBT contestants on the hit show.

A producer who was that the annual Edinburgh TV festival, Elliot Gonalez tweeted the disappointing news, saying,

    https://twitter.com/elliot_gonzalez/status/900766737049800704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gaytimes.co.uk%2Fculture%2F84703%2Fitv-point-blank-ruled-lgbt-contestants-love-island%2F

However, there’s no word on whether they would make a specific gay version of the show… for which there has been a lot of support for.

Love Island creator Richard Cowles said, earlier this year, that it would be “difficult” to add LGBT people to the current casting mix saying,

“You are trying to create couples,

“It’s not impossible and it is not something that we shy away from… but there is a logistical element which makes it difficult.”
