These gay-friendly destinations are giving us serious #HoneymoonGoals

    So you’re getting married?

Congrats! We bet you’ve got enough on your plate and could spare having to plan the holiday of a lifetime on top of that. Have you come to the point where you’re pondering all the unanswered questions and steps that are separating you from actually jumping on that plane?

    We hear you.

One question that should never be left ignored is whether you picked a honeymoon destination that is gay-friendly. With over 70 countries still having some form of anti-homosexuality law, it’s easy to see how your perfect holiday could go awry. Although not feeling comfortable showing your affection to your loved one in public is not something you should ever have to deal with, it’s an especially unwelcome feeling on this special occasion. So, we’ve put together a list of the most gay-friendly honeymoon destinations; areas filled with beauty, vibrancy and friendliness.

    1. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Previously THEGAYUK.com had suggested Brazil as a good location for a Honeymoon, however, due to the legal and criminal situation, we cannot advise going to this part of the world.

    2. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is constantly at the top of the most LGBT-friendly lists — and with good reason. A great mix of delicious tapas, fabulous sandy beaches, stunning historical buildings, balmy year-round climate, and a selection of gay bars, saunas, cruises and hotels to boot make it easy to see why it’s a holiday favourite amongst the gay scene.

    3. Reykjavik, Iceland

Same-sex marriage became legal in Iceland in 2010, but the country always had a relaxed and accepting attitude towards gay couples. For one thing, their prime minister is openly gay! Despite all this, the beauty of this outlandish country is what will captivate you the most. Don’t miss the Blue Lagoon: a geothermal spa located in a lava field where you can soak in milky blue water at any time of the year.

    4. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Gay marriage was legalised in 2010 in Argentina, but Buenos Aires was a mecca for gay travellers way before then. Dubbed the “most European place in South America,” it’s a sprawling city rich in history. Take a stroll hand in hand along the pedestrian Calle Florida in the Microcentro, or in the Recoleta, Palermo and marvel at all the beauty without a care.

    5. Cancun, Mexico

Cancun has so much more to offer than the hedonistic reputation that precedes it. There’s a bit of everything for everyone. Sure, there’s the crazy night life if you fancy that, but there are also a whole throng of gay beaches and hotels to pick from, and a carefree, ‘live and let live’ vibe that’ll put you right at ease.

    6. Cape Town, South Africa

One wouldn’t always think of the African continent when it comes to gay-friendly travel destinations, but South Africa was the fifth country in the world and first in Africa to legalise same-sex marriage. Seen by many as one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa, Cape Town promises spectacular scenery, incredible beaches and exotic wildlife. Drive safely, though, as the baboons run free!

    7. Taiwan

Taiwan may also come as a surprise for a gay-friendly destination, but it is one of the most accepting countries in Asia. There’s something for all tastes and tonnes to explore for such a tiny island, including nine national parks (don’t miss the Taroko National Park), a bustling metropolis, pleasant sub-tropical weather and beautiful, remote beaches.

    8. Palm Springs, USA

The sun always shines in the South Californian desert oasis of Palm Springs. As a city that boasts the most same-sex (and the most clothing optional!) hotels in the world, it’s easy to see how you’ll have a great time. Rather go golfing? Hiking? Clubbing? There’s little that can’t be had in Palm Springs.

  • People need to get over these bisexual MYTHS already

People need to get over these bisexual MYTHS already

We’re not bi now gay later…

You wouldn’t think that in 2018 myths about bisexuality would still exist… but oh boy do they! We asked readers who identify as bisexual what comments gave them complete attacks of the eye roll and oh boy did the myths come rolling in… So listen up peeps – take note – these are the myths that we need to destroy in 2017!

Why do gay men take the attitude that bi is just a transitional sexual status … the whole “bi now; gay later” attitude?

    Patrick

That I want to have sex with everyone. Yikes, and ick NO. We’re not sexual Velociraptors FFS.

    Maggie

That bisexuals only like cis men and women. I’m a bi and trans man, and that tells me is that the speaker doesn’t view me as an actual man, or sees bisexuals as inherently genital focused, or both.

    Cato

That we get laid than more people.

    Sam

The idea that we will eventually “pick a side” and become either straight or gay.

    ANON

That bisexuals are oversexed and can not have a monogamous relationship.

    Dave

We’re not a god-damned trend. This is our life, respect that.

    Jenny

You can still be bi- even if you’re in a hetero or gay relationship

    AJ

We don’t have to 50/50 either way. It’s cool to be 70 more attracted to the same and 30 & the other way… Still bisexual!

  • 8 things you need to check before getting your lips filled

    I’m not happy Maurice…

Guys all over are getting their lips filled … but there are eight things you need to be aware of before getting your pillows plumped.

Worryingly, anyone can buy hyaluronic acid gel and inject it into someone’s lips.

This is because there are no laws in the UK that regulate people who carry out non-surgical cosmetic procedures, such as lip fillers. The Professional Standards Authority runs a Government-backed programme called Accredited Registers which lists trusty professionals that treat their patients safely.

    1. We suggest everyone always chooses a safe practitioner from one of our Accredited Registers – http://www.professionalstandards.org.uk/find-practitioners/practitioner/non-surgical-cosmetic-practitioners

    2. Professionals should ask for the patients’ age, full medical history and discuss all risks before agreeing an injection.
    3. Nobody should pressure a patient into having lip fillers done there and then. Patients need time before making a decision.
    4. Ask for copies of before and after photographs. It’s a good idea to have photos of the patients smiling and frowning, too.
    5. Patients should note down which hyaluronic acid product is being used for their lip fillers as well as the clinician’s name.
    6. Patients should ask the person giving them lip fillers to show them the hyaluronic acid in its unopened packaging, before injection.
    7. There should be no problems in booking a follow-up and asking about treatment of any complications, if they occur.
    8. Never agree to have lip fillers done at homes, at ‘parties’ or exhibitions, or in places that aren’t clean & clinical.

The star, who has made no secret of also working as a sex worker, said that he was lured to a hotel by a singular man who claimed that he was a client. However, when Jessie turned up he was confronted by two men. The two, according to Jessie assaulted him and most alarmingly had plans to kill him. Thankfully, Jessie remarks, he was able to escape the two unnamed men and the hotel.

In the two-minute video, which he shared with his 110,000 fans, Jessie, said, that the experience was deeply traumatic and didn’t want to go into full details about the attack that has left the star shaken. He said he was making the video to help with his healing process and to make other people aware of the severity of the incident.

    He said,

“They weren’t just trying to assault me. I was targeted for murder. The evidence that was found indicated that these men had much worse plans for me. Fortunately…I managed to get away. However, that’s a heavy thing to deal with. The physical injuries I sustained are nothing compared to the mental injuries that I have to deal with on a daily basis. It’s very hard. Imagine being almost in a horror movie and reliving it over and over again.”

  • What is a bottom in gay sex?

So here we are: gay sex 101.

What or who is a Bottom in terms of gay sex?

Well, it could mean a variety of things to a variety of people, but generally, the “bottom” is the guy who is the receptive partner in anal sex. Although it could be a label for someone who is more sub with in sex.

So the guy who’s underneath (or on top if you’re doing the cowboy) is known as the “bottom”. The giver is known as the “Top”. Not everybody likes the terms “top” or “bottom” for some being a bottom is seen as less than, more subservient or more effeminate, but some, like Big Brother US star Ragan Fox have empowered the word and meaning by calling themselves, “power bottoms”.

More recently, when Nurse Jackie star, Haaz Sleiman came out as gay he totally owned the bottom thing saying, “Not only am I a bottom, but I’m also a total bottom, which means I like it up you-know-where.”

Other wise you could go with giver and givee, catcher and pitcher or just their names… (no labels!)

Apparently, there’s quite a bit of stigma attached to being a bottom. A survey found sixty per cent of readers thought that there was or weren’t sure if there was a stigma attached to bottoming or being the receiving partner during penetrative sex. Only 40 per cent said no there wasn’t a stigma.

Only 40 per cent said no there wasn’t a stigma.

    What is a Power Bottom?

Power Bottoms are those who dominate in sex but are those who enjoy receiving anal sex – or someone who can power through and take the *D* for a long time.

Those who like being both a top and the bottom are usually referred to as “vers” which means versatile.  The terms tops, bottoms and vers have been around for a long time, but have become increasingly popular since the dawn of internet dating and apps.

Guys who like to bottom are usually great at keeping things clean and hygienic down there. Want to know more? You can read our tips on what to eat if you’re planning to bottom tonight or how to prep yourself like a porn star!

    What are bottom myths?

    Bottoms aren’t (necessarily)

    Effeminate

    Slutty

They want it all the time

    Don’t feel the pain

    Totally sub
