Stealing the crown from Kylie Minogue, Adele has been crowned the ‘new gay icon’ by GayDarRadio listeners here in the UK.
The 23 year old singer-songwriter won over half the 4000 votes for the Pop Artist Of the Year whilst her nearest rival (Lady Gaga) won 18.9% of the vote.
Celebrity of the year was won by Gareth Thomas and opening gay footballer Anoton Hysen was named Hero Of The Year.
