If you’re looking to get some approving looks from your peers then you’ll be wanting to make sure you’re making the right signs… The 15 signs of success in Britain have been revealed.

Although wealth is often regarded as the sign you have made it, seven in 10 UK adults reckon being content is the true benchmark of success.
Less than a fifth of respondents said being a millionaire shows you are doing well, while over a quarter said being charitable is a true indicator of prosperity.
Commissioned by accounting firm Mazars, the research of 2,000 UK adults also found just three in 10 Brits have some kind of plan in place to actually achieve success.
Ian Pickford, partner in Mazars’ private client team said,
“Our research shows that people define success in lots of different ways.
“Having enough money is important but it’s really interesting to see ‘being a millionaire’ and other materialistic definitions of success are way down the list.”
Treating people fairly, acting ethically and feeling fulfilled in life feature in the top 15 indicators of success – along with being financially secure and being debt free.
Having a personalised number plate, a gym instructor and eating in top restaurants are among the signs you’ve made it.
While having a happy marriage, being able to retire early and owning your house outright also indicate success.
Over a quarter of men are optimistic they will achieve success in life – compared to one in 10 women.
Half of those aged 18 to 24 years old are confident they will achieve what they consider success to be.
And of those polled, almost a quarter of over 55s said they had already achieved success.
Although as little as three in 10 Brits have a plan of how to be successful, half of 18-24-year-olds have mapped out how they will achieve their goals.
In comparison, just a fifth of those aged 55 or over have a plan in place to reach their life targets.
On average, people think they will retire at 62, although women think they will be working until they reach 63 years of age – and men think they’ll be able to stop working at 61.
Respondents aged 25 to 34 reckon they would retire the earliest – 60 years old – while those aged 18 to 25 and those aged 35 to 44 think they’ll retire at 64.
Only one in 10 people have used a financial professional to help them plan for a successful retirement – although four in 10 said it was something they would consider.
Ian continues,
“The results suggest people have a good idea of what they consider success to be, or not be, but most of us have little or no idea how we will get what we really want out of life.
“Only three in 10 people in the UK say they have a plan in place. This means millions are in danger of not achieving their life goals and being unhappy or unfulfilled because of their failure to plan.
“Failing to plan is planning to fail. Research shows the simple act of formulating a life or financial plan and writing it down makes it much more likely to happen.”
BRITS’ TOP FIFTEEN SIGNS OF SUCCESS:
1. Being happy
2. Being healthy
3. Being financially secure
4. Being debt free
5. Achieving your career aspirations
6. Feeling fulfilled in life
7. Being able to retire early
8. Owning your house outright
9. Having a balanced work/family life
10. Having a happy marriage
11. Treating people fairly and with respect
12. Having polite, well-behaved children you are proud of
13. Acting ethically in your day to day life
14. Being charitable
15. Feeling respected by your peers
If you’re a pube shaver you could be putting yourself at risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Some medical professionals in California, US, have discovered that people who shave their pubes regularly stand a higher chance of catching an STD because of small cuts or tears in the skin, that are caused by the grooming process. They also found that people who regularly trim their bushes are more sexually active too.
The research is from the rather catchily titled, Sexually Transmitted Infections – a specialist BMJ journal and it makes for some sobering reading, the BBC reports.
Doctors suggest that the link between grooming your pubes and getting an infection was closely linked to cuts and abrasions caused by the grooming process rather than by sharing grooming equipment, like shavers or scissors. Waxing, shaving and even plucking hair can cause small cuts and tears in the skin.
Those who groom are more likely to engage in riskier sexual activities and findings have shown that they have more sexual partners.

So what do men use to shave their man bushes?
The electric razor is the most common tool for men to groom but one in five men uses scissors to give that man jungle a cutback.
The findings found that ‘extreme groomers’ (17%), those who shave it all off at least once a month, are three or four times more likely to catch an STI. Doctors point out that a skin to skin STI was more common for these people, leaving them susceptible to getting an STI like herpes.
So what advice can be given to those who shave regularly?
Doctors suggest holding off until your skin has completely healed before having sex or skin to skin contact and of course, always use condoms if you’re thinking about doing penetration.
Any good news?
It’s not all bad news, though. Groomers who shave off their pubes are less likely to get pubic lice. So that’s always a boon!

A man has been thrown to his death and then stoned in the streets of Aleppo after ISIS (Islamic State) accused him and found him guilty on charges of homosexuality. ISIS follow an interpretation of Sharia law, which forbids homosexuality and finds that it is a crime with a death penalty. ISIS hand out harsh sentences for men who are found guilty of having same-sex relationships and often throw them to their deaths from tall buildings in front of huge crowds.
Photos released by the terrorist organisation show a man, dressed in black, blindfolded being thrown off a tall building in the Syrian city of Aleppo. It’s not known whether the man survived the fall, but pictures show that the man was then stoned by members of the crowd that witnessed the execution.
Hundreds of people stood and watched as the man plunged to the street below. A number of the crowd are then seen to hurling rocks at the lifeless body of the man.
In the past, we have reported that ISIS have killed another of men accused of homosexuality, but this is the first reported execution of man in Aleppo.
In an exclusive interview former X Factor star Danyl Johnson has told THEGAYUK.com that he didn’t tell Dannii Minogue to F*** OFF when she seemingly outed him on national TV.
Cast your minds back to 2009 when a former primary school teacher, Danyl Johnson, was rising to fame on the ITV hit show, X Factor. Speculation over his sexuality became the talk of the nation.
During his rendition of the Dreamgirls hit, “And I Am Telling You” Danyl didn’t change the gender pronouns so he sang it about a woman, instead of a man. At the time the UK’s newspapers were in speculation overdrive about Danyl’s sexuality. At the time it was being reported that he was bisexual.
Having spoken about changing the line to a male pronoun with the production team, Danyl had last minute thoughts, he said,
“In my mind, I was thinking if it was week seven, maybe, but as it was week one, so I sang, ‘You’re the best girl I’ve ever known’. People are very open-minded these days, but it’s live in front of a lot of people.”
In the end, he changed it to an opposite sex attraction.
Dannii Minogue, who was passing comment on his performance questioned why he used an opposite sex pronoun saying,
“If we’re to believe everything that we read in the papers, maybe you didn’t need to change the gender references”.
Well in the footage, Danyl can be seen muttering something and people have thought for years that he told Dannii to “f*** off” but he’s revealed what he actually said.
“Now a lot of people have rewound that moment. There was so much speculation about what I said underneath my breath. So many people thought I said, “F*** off ”.
“But I was a primary school teacher, so I wouldn’t say that on live TV. I said, “I’m not ashamed”.

The relationship is so secret not even the judges have been aware of the alleged relationship.
According to the Daily Star, there is a secret gay couple in X Factor and they both got through to the live shows. They’ve somehow managed to keep their relationship secret from the world. According to that “close source, are” the pair became chummy at judges houses, suggesting that the pair could be in the same category.
“But they only got together when they made it to the live shows.
“Their families and friends know they are an item but they’ve kept it a secret from viewers and that’s the way they want it for now.
“Their fans have no idea they are a couple.
“Both get a lot of tweets from girls but they aren’t interested.
“They are flattered by the attention but they are smitten with one another.
The singer who had a rocky start in her time with the juggernaut show said that she feared an anti-gay backlash and felt forced to live a lie after getting engaged to her girlfriend in the summer. She revealed that she and her girlfriend, Meri were the first gay female couple to come out in Finland.
She said that she used to take selfies, but cut out Meri of the picture because she was afraid of the public’s reaction. She said,
“It was so stupid. I was taking selfies and always pretending I was by myself when of course I had my girlfriend next to me.
“It was my 28th birthday when I decided, ‘I’ve had enough’. I’d been hiding it for a year and couldn’t do it anymore.”
She finally came out by posting a post on Facebook, in an interview she said that she was so nervous that she actually got her girlfriend to press the “Post” button.
“I decided I was old enough to do something about it and come out. I was so scared. I couldn’t press the button to publish the post on Facebook. I got my fiancée to do it. We were so nervous. But it was good.”
Joe Crilly from Bookmaker William Hill said, ”
Saara has come from nowhere to head the betting at this late stage but the way this year’s show has gone, anything could happen this week”.
Odds for Saara to win the X Factor are 8/13, whilst Matt Terry is 2/1 and Five After Midnight are lagging behind at 11/2.
The breakout star of Strictly Come Dancing, Judge Rinder has been eliminated from BBC dance show.
The openly gay TV star has become the 11th celebrity to be eliminated from the Strictly Come Dancing show, after receiving the lowest scores from the judging panel this weekend. The judge faced a dance-off with Ore and Joanne, but in the end, his performance wasn’t enough to impress the judges who voted to boot the judge from the show.
Speaking about his time on the show, which has regularly topped the ratings war between ITV and the BBC, the daytime TV judge revealed it was a “joy” to be involved with the show.
He said,
“I know how difficult it is sometimes to be a judge and you do it with authenticity and enthusiasm and thank you all for your comments
“And my last thank you and my most important one, this truly extraordinary person, this teacher who has shown me from somebody who could barely walk to music with no dance experience at all to find a passion and a love for dance and that’s the best kind of teaching.
“You are never too old to try something new and everyone should try dancing, thank you so much.”
And London pipped Sydney to the title of the world hangover capital.
Time Out London’s Editor-in-Chief, Caroline McGinn said,
“We surveyed 20,000 urbanites in 18 cities across the world to find out two things. First: where are the most dynamic, gastronomic, culturally unbeatable urban hotspots right now?
“And second: what are we up to and how is that changing? We found out some fun stuff along the way.
“Looking for sex? Better heard to Plumstead or Paris. Food and culture? Chicago and NYC are buzzing.
“Lisbon is the place to fall in love. As for London, we’ve got plenty going on in this amazing and culturally vibrant city, but many are feeling a bit lonely and hungover right now.”
The Time Out City Index shows Melbourne is the second most fun city in the world, as it has a great quality of life, and ranks highly for its bars and restaurants.
Six in 10 people find Melbourne an easy place to live and three-quarters of residents love living there.
Lisbon takes third place and is ranked as the world’s most sociable and least lonely city.
New York was fourth, praised for its arts, nightlife and music – although it has the toughest dating scene of them all.
Fifth place went to clubbing capital Madrid, where people go out 19 times a year compared to just six times in Melbourne.
Madrid also has the lowest working hours of all 18 countries, as people only work 39 hours a week.
Tokyo and Paris are the most cultured cities, with the highest number of residents regularly going to theatres or museums.
People in Mexico City have the most affairs and are the least stressed, Miami emerged as the capital of threesomes and Barcelona is the home of the boozy lunch.
Despite other cities being more affordable, easier for making friends and offering a better work-life balance, 66 percent claim there are always new things to do.
Londoners go to theatres and museums up to 25 times a year, they enjoy 4.7 nights out a month and two-thirds say the capital has a great restaurant scene.
The ‘Big Smoke’ is also vying with Sydney for the title of hangover capital and one-night stand hotspot – 64 per cent versus 65 per cent.
Londoners have sex 1.2 times a week – compared to Parisians who have sex an average of 1.6 times a week, more than in any other city.
Caroline McGinn for Time Out London added.
“If there’s one thing that Time Out really knows and loves, its cities.
“We’ve been dedicated to discovering their best bits for many years. Now we thought it was about time to document urban life. Because cities are important. They’re fun. But they’re also crucibles for new opportunities, new ideas, and new ways of living.”
Other highlights discovered in the Time Out City Index include New York residents go out the most (6.4 times a month), Toyko city dwellers love sharing their food pictures on Instagram and Dubai are stuck in the office the longest.
People are most likely to have a friendly chat with strangers in Chicago, and in contrast, those in Singapore are least sociable, choosing to keep themselves to themselves.
