Police are looking to identify this man after an alleged attempted rape of a man in Salford

Cops in Salford are interested in identifying a man after an alleged attempted rape of another man.

At around 1am on Sunday 21 October 2018 the victim – a man in his 20s – was walking on a path that leads from Cottenham Lane to Mary Street when he was approached by an unknown man.

The man asked the victim if he wanted to engage in sexual activity and he said no. The attacker then punched him several times before trying to rape him.

The victim managed to get away and then reported the offence to police.

Detective Constable David Prowse, from GMP’s Salford district, said, “We have been offering our support to the victim since this awful attack occurred and we are doing everything we can to find the man responsible.

“As part of our enquiries we have a picture of a man we need to speak to, as we think they could hold key information.

“I know the picture isn’t very clear but the man is quite distinctive and I think anyone who knows him will recognise him.

“I urge you to get in touch, or if this is you then please also make contact with us.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 0161 856 5355 quoting incident number 156 of 21 October 2018.

Information can also be passed on to the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The Barking Murders: When does the drama about the Grindr killings air?

The BBC has announced that filming for a documentary drama about the infamous Grindr murders is about to start production, but when does it air in the UK?

The BBC announced that a documentary drama about the infamous Grindr Killer, Stephen Port is due to start filming in Spring 2019. The series has been given the working title, The Barking Murders. The programme will be made by ITV Studios for the broadcaster.

There will be three, hour-long programmes which will be broadcast on the BBC and will be directed by David Blair and produced by Serena Cullen with Jeff Pope executive producing.

The show will star Stephen Merchant and Sheridan Smith.

The programme will be available in the US where it is being co-produced by BritBox.

When will The Barking Murders be available to watch?

So the BBC haven’t confirmed the broadcast date yet, but we expect the filming and editing process to take a number of months, so we’d expect to see a broadcast or stream date of late 2019 or early 2020.

Where will I be able to watch The Barking Murders?

In the UK the shows will be broadcast on the BBC’s flagship channel, BBC One, but will most likely be available to stream on the BBC’s iPlayer. In the US the show will be able on BritBox.

Serial killer Stephen Port to immortalized in a TV drama

Apparently, the BBC is planning a TV show about the brutal murders by convicted serial killer Stephen Port.

Filming for a documentary drama, called The Barking Murders surrounding the killer Stephen Port, who brutally raped and murdered four men between June 2014 and September 2015 is due to begin in the spring. Dubbed in the press as the Grindr Killer, Port used dating apps and websites to lure his victims. In 2016 the 41-year-old was also found guilty of 10 offences of administering a substance with intent, four rapes and four sexual assaults.

According to the BBC, the award-winning team behind The Moorside and Appropriate Adult, the new factual drama will go beneath the headlines to shed new light on this story by telling it from the point of view of the families of Stephen Port’s victims, focusing on their fight to uncover the truth about what had happened to their lost sons and brothers in the face of a now widely-criticised police investigation.

Port was found guilty of the murders of Anthony Patrick Walgate, 23, Gabriel Kovari, 22, Daniel Whitworth, 21 and Jack Taylor, 25. Their bodies were dumped in or near a graveyard in Barking. The graveyard was 500 meters away from his flat in east London.

The new film has Stephen Merchant in the role of Port.

On joining the cast, Stephen Merchant said, “This is a story that can’t be ignored – how four young lives were lost and their families’ brave attempt to uncover what happened. This factual drama will shed light on their story, so it’s a privilege to be a part of telling it with the brilliant combination of Jeff Pope, Neil McKay and the BBC.”

He’ll be joined by Sheridan Smith who added, “‘I love playing real-life characters – especially an inspirational woman like Sarah Sak (the mother of Anthony Walgate) – but with it comes responsibility. Along with the other families, Sarah went through so much heartache and it would have been easy for her to just accept what she was being told by the police, but something inside made her keep fighting for her son.”

The four-hour film, which will be shown in two, two hour programmes, has already proved controversial with fans of the late Michael Jackson and his family. It is due to broadcast on Channel 4 in the near future. The decision to broadcast the series has proved problematic for the channel after being deluged with messages of disapproval from users on Twitter.

In the film, both Wade Robson and James Safechuck allege that Michael Jackson began a long-running relationship with them. The Jackson Estate released a statement denoucing the film as”yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson.”

Speaking ahead of the documentary, filmmaker Dan Reed said in a statement, “If there’s anything we’ve learned during this time in our history, it’s that sexual abuse is complicated, and survivors’ voices need to be listened to.

“It took great courage for these two men to tell their stories and I have no question about their validity.

You won’t believe how many people now support gay love in the UK

In the last 30 years the public’s support of same-sex loving has rocketed, new stats today show that support for gay, lesbian and bisexual relationships are at their highest.

Nearly 70 percent of people in the UK now say that they support same-sex relationships compared with just 11 percent back in 1987. The figures are also a stark improvement on 2012’s figures of under 50 percent (47%).

According to figures released, 68% of people thought that relationships between two people of the same sex were ‘not at all wrong’.

The youngest generation was the most welcoming – 80% of people age 18-24 thought there was nothing wrong with same sex-relations, compared to 29% of those age 75 and older.

Minister for Equalities, Baroness Susan Williams, said: “On Valentine’s Day everyone should be able to love who they love, and be free to show that love to the world.

“I am encouraged to see that people are changing their attitudes to be more accepting and more tolerant, but as government we still have work to do to make sure our society is truly fair, and truly free.

“That’s why we are working with charities, schools, GPs, and across government to make sure our Action Plan can bring about real, lasting change for LGBT people in the UK.”

What has the LGBT action plan promised?

The Government Equalities Office’s LGBT Action Plan, which was launched last July to make the lives of LGBT people better, includes a promise to test out innovative ways of tackling deep-seated prejudice in communities across the country.

As part of the Plan, 12 UK organisations who work to improve the lives of LGBT+ people have been awarded a total of £2.6 million government funding. The cash will support LGBT people in education, healthcare and the community.

Barnardo’s, Diversity Role Models, EqualiTeach, the National Children’s Bureau, Stonewall, and the Diana Award will split £1 million between them to continue their work in protecting children from anti-LGBT+ bullying. In addition, Advonet, the LGBT Foundation, London Friend, Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, and the Royal College of General Practitioners have received £1 million to improve the lives of LGBT+ people in health and social care.

Rise in Homophobic Crime at odds with the survey

However, in 2018, crime figures showed that homophobic and transphobic hate crime was on the rise. In October we revealed, that twelve percent (11,638 crimes) of recorded hate crimes in England and Wales were directed at gay and bisexual people which was a 17 percent increase over the previous year. While, two percent of recorded hate crime (1651 crimes) were those against transgender people – up a staggering 32 percent.

Overall recorded hate crimes were up, with nearly 100,000 crimes reported which was double the amount in just five years. The majority of hate crime (75%, 71,251 crimes) were racially motivated. Religious-based hate crime accounted for 9 percent (8336 crimes) of recorded crimes.

Sam Smith shares emotional story about accepting his body with topless picture

Without a doubt, Sam Smith looked great when he first came on to the scene back in 2013 and now in 2019, but he’s revealed that he’s not always been happy with his body image. In an emotional Instagram post, the singer revealed that in the past he’s “starved” himself for weeks before photoshoots – even if he was wearing just a t-shirt – only to usually take the picture down because he felt so unhappy with his image.

However, he’s now taking a stand and has uploaded a topless picture of himself standing on an idyllic beach as the sun sets, looking confident and proud.

15-year-old boy hospitalised after a ‘homophobic attack’ in Bury

Another 15-year-old boy has been arrested following the alleged homophobic incident in Bury, to the north of Manchester.

A 15-year boy has been arrested after an alleged homophobic assault against another 15-year-old boy in Bury, north of Manchester in the UK. Shortly after 3:30PM on Monday, 11th Feb the victim, an unnamed student who is also 15-years-old was set upon by a number of males, according to a police report.

A confrontation then took place on Manchester Road Park, before the boy was assaulted by a number of males. The boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.

A boy aged 15 has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody. Police are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the incident.

“Cowardly Attack”

Chief Inspector Phil Spurgeon of GMP’s Bury Division said, “This was a cowardly attack on a young man who was subjected to vile, homophobic abuse.

“After challenging his abusers, he was then assaulted by a number of offenders and had to be treated in hospital for his injuries. We are treating this offence with the utmost seriousness. We will not tolerate hate crime and will do everything in our power to apprehend offenders. While we have arrested one person, we are continuing to appeal for information on this crime and would ask that anyone if information contacts police immediately.”

Netflix: Does Brent Corrigan still do porn, how old is he today?

Brent Corrigan is the subject of the film King Cobra, which is now streaming on Netflix.

The biopic, which is now available to stream on Netflix, follows the life and times of Brent Corrigan (who was played by Garrett Clayton) and his rise within the gay porn industry along with the plotting and eventual murder of his studio’s boss, Bryan Kocis. However, when the film was originally released, Brent himself refused to support the film – even going as far as denouncing it on social media, for taking liberties with his life story and for showing the gay porn industry, which Brent is a big supporter of, in a very bad light.

The film directed by Justin Kelly is based on the successful book Cobra Killer written by Andrew E Stoner and Peter A Conway. It centres on the 2007 murder of gay porn producer Bryan Kocis (played in the film by Christian Slater) by two aspiring producers (James Franco as Joe and Keegan Allen as Harlow) who wanted to buy out Corrigan’s performing contract.

So is Brent Corrigan still appearing in porn?
