  • Dustin Lance Black And Tom Daley Want To Save The George Tavern

    Tom Daley and his fiancé Dustin Lance Black have added their voices to the Save the George Tavern campaign.

    Celeb couple Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black have been photographed in an embrace wearing a “save the George Tavern” t-shirt.

    The iconic landmark music venue has come under threat after developers bought the surrounding buildings and has lodged plans to convert them into luxury homes. The proximity of the flats to the music venue will mean that the George Tavern will not be able to host music events, described as it’s “bread and butter”

    The pub’s website describes their plight as,

    “The Grade II listed pub and venue on Commercial Road, Stepney, London is under threat from developers who have purchased the adjoining site. They have submitted a number of different plans to build luxury apartments next to the pub. If the flats are built, the venue will most probably be forced to stop live music events – its bread and butter.”

    Nearly 3,000 fans of the venue have signed a petition which was sent to the Planning Inspector.

    The petition was signed by a host of celebrities including Sir Ian McKellen, Plan B, Jo Whiley, Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs.

    Anastacia has revealed that she had Michelle Visage pimp out drag queens for her mother’s 70th birthday.

    In an interview with THEGAYUK, rock diva Anastacia revealed how she had drag queens take over her mother’s 70th birthday and with the help of her gal pal and Ru Paul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, she managed to hire a bunch of drag gay icons to appear including Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland.
    She said,

    “I had drags  at her 70th birthday. I had Barbra Streisand, Judy garland – all the people my mum would have loved to be in a room with and hang out with.”

    The I’m Outta Love singer, who is celebrating the release of a Greatest Hits album this weekend also had a drag Anastacia turn up too.

    Speaking about her love of Drag Queens, she said,

    “It was a total surprise. Michelle Visage got me some really great ones from Ru’s show. I must say I’m pulling out names right now but I when I say I love a drag I’m not lying.”

    Anastacia also revealed that she’d be up for a duet with Michelle Visage saying,

    “Oh MY GOD that could totally happen –that is something we have talked about… definitely. She my little Madonna.”

    Taking to Twitter last month, gay icon Bette Midler put Justin Bieber’s father on blast for the pride he took in his son’s penis, after he was papped naked whilst on holiday in Bora Bora.
    She tweeted,

    “I think the biggest dick in this situation is the dad who abandoned his son.”

    However Justin has said that he has no idea who “Britt Meddler” was after he was asked to make a comment about the Beaches star’s comment about his father.

    In a classic Midler, or should we say Meddler comeback, the Divine Miss M put Britt on blast saying:

    “Britt Meddler! I don’t know who that is either! But damn that bitch!”

    A Britt Meddler Twitter account soon appeared on Twitter and stated that it was infact “cold there in Bette Midler’s shadow”

    In an exclusive interview (out mid-November) with THEGAYUK, I’m Outta Love singer Anastacia has revealed that she would be up for a duet with Celebrity Big Brother star Michelle Visage. Speaking about their relationship Anastacia said,

    “I’ve known Michelle since we were like in our early early twenties in New York!”

    And when asked about the possibilty of a single released together she went on to say,

    “That is something we have talked about… definitely. She my little Madonna.”

    She went on to say,

    “What I see us doing – we would do a song and make all the money go to a HIV /AIDS charity – that is just something we would do!

    “We would put it out not make a penny on it. I’d make sure we did a Pride Tour.

    “That would just be fun. She could be my hostess and I could be up there just singing my ass off. I would have some drag queens up there too!”

     

    Anastacia is currently in the UK promoting her new collection album, which is out tomorrow.

    In an interview with Now Magazine Sean Miley Moore, who is starring in X FACTOR said that despite the haters, he is the voice of confidence and a “proud gay man”

    Seann Miley Moore has put the haters in their place by telling Now Magazine,

    “I’m a proud gay man. Haters are gonna hate, but they’re usually the insecure ones. I just blow them a kiss. Hopefully I can be a voice of confidence.”

    The confident singer wowed the judges in his first audition when he sang Queen’s hit The Show Must Go On.

    He told the audience and judges that he had flown half way around the world and put his entire life on hold in order to audition for X FACTOR UK.
    His confidence hasn’t always been strong. He spoke about a time he was “afraid” and said that how he dressed and behaves is “the new normal”.

    He also told Now how he has in the past suffered verbal and physical abuse. He said,

    “I’ve gone through verbal and physical abuse and people will still shout things as I walk down the street, but it doesn’t faze me any more”.

    He was chosen by Nick Grimshaw to become one of the openly gay Radio 1 presenter’s boys, ensuring his place as one of 12 finalists who are to go head to head in the live shows that start tonight (31st October).

    Great British Bake Off heartthrob Tamal Ray has blogged about coming to terms with who he is and how it made sense to people once they found out he was gay.

    Tamal Ray, one of the finalists for this year’s GBBO came out in an interview with the Radio Times days before the final. He has blogged about coming to terms with who he is over a Huffpost on their Building Mordern Men campaign.

    “Once people knew that I was gay, I started to make a bit more sense in their eyes; suddenly it didn’t seem so strange that I was allergic to sports and that my shelves were filled with books about cake decorating. It wasn’t that I was keen to get stereotyped.

    “But for someone who had never felt overly masculine, the assumptions people made were kind of liberating: I no longer felt a pressure to conform to some “red-blooded male identity – I could be my own cake and cartoon loving man.
    “Things changed once I got to uni. I started to become comfortable with who I was and being gay.
    “Like a lot of people coming out, I worried about the reaction I might get, especially from my straight male friends.

    Seann Miley Moore has become a fully fledged celeb after Twitter verified his official account. Despite a fairly modest following, 15.9K at the time of writing this he’s already garnered a concrete fanbase who are enjoying his unique look.

    Moore recently announced that he wanted to get all the boys in his category in heels by the end of the series.
    Speaking in a recent interview Moore said that audiences who soon see even more of what he had to offer in terms of his style. He said,

    The Australian born star who wowed the judges in his first audition with a powerful version of Queen’s The Show Must Go On has said in an interview that he wants to see all the boys in his category to wear heels by the end of the season.

    He said,

    “All the boys are amazing. We’ve been chatting about having a night in with beers and watching a movie like Entourage. I’m hoping to get them all in heels!”

    Talking about his ground-breaking first audition he said,

    “I keep watching it over and over again and sobbing, I was so happy and proud to have done that. That moment was 3 years of studying in theatre school, 2 years of saving my money, and getting on a plane to put myself out there. It came down to that moment. That acceptance and love was overwhelming.

    Twenty four-year-old Kenworthy shot back with,

    “In a relationship I am the man. As is the other man. I’m gay. Not trying to emulate a heterosexual relationship.”

    Kenworthy came out in an interview with ESPN magazine last week. He started the interview by saying, “I guess I should start by saying, ‘I’m gay.’”
