  • Freddy and Matt have moved in with each other…

    This is the bromance that doesn’t stop giving…

    Okay, we know they’re only friends, but X Factor winner Matt Terry and finalist Freddy Parker are making house and we kinda want to be a fly on the wall. We can picture it now… “no the spice rack goes over here”, “let’s try the lounge in an ‘L’ configuration”, “no no no those throw cushions will never do” and so on.

    We know, we know they aren’t an item but let us live in the dream for just a little longer.

    So now they’ve found a place together and Freddy wasted no time in telling his fans that he was finally moving out of his parent’s house!

    He then shared a picture from inside the house, where he shows exactly how excited he was to be moving in.

     

     

    Following lots of speculation that Freddy and the show’s eventual winner, Matt Terry, were in a romantic relationship – Matt put the rumour to rest the day after his X Factor win by letting fans know that they were just great friends and like brothers.

    A source told The Sun, that Matt wasn’t shy about letting people know that he was moving in with his best mate and despite the romance rumours he didn’t see the big deal.

    Ah Cute.

    Ahhh… We love a throwback…

    Freddy Parker has shared the most adorable throwback picture, of him – as an angel. The former X Factor star looks so incredibly angelic in this picture he shared with his fans on Christmas eve.

    Following lots of speculation that Freddy and the show’s eventual winner, Matt Terry were in a romantic relationship – a rumour that was denied by Matt following his victory, the pair has now moved in with each other. Earlier in the month,  The Sun Online revealed that the musical buds had been on the hunt for a house share.

    A source told The Sun, that Matt wasn’t shy about letting people know that he was moving in with his best mate and despite the romance rumours he didn’t see the big deal.

    So now they’ve found a place together and Freddy wasted no time in telling his fans that he was finally moving out of his parent’s house!

    In other news Matt Terry failed to achieve the Christmas number 1 slot, however, he did marginally better than the show’s previous winner Louisa Johnson, who scrape into the top 10 with her winner’s single at number 9. Matt managed to get to number 8 with his Ed Sheeran-penned “When Christmas Comes Around”. The single peaked at number 3 immediately after the show’s conclusion.

    Add the rosemary and a drop of gin with a tablespoon of ice into a shaker and bash it about a bit. Add both fruit juices and the gin, and shake. Pour into a glass through a strainer and top with ice and a few pomegranate seeds if you have them.

    100ml tonic

    1 lime wedge

    Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. Pour over the gin, cordial and tonic. Stir & serve with a wedge of lime.

    In a glass, muddle together the cherries, simple syrup, and lemon until the cherries are a little bit squishy. Fill the glass with crushed ice, pour oven the gin and stir. Top up with soda water and garnish with a few more dried cherries. A good tip to remember in general is 30g of dried fruit counts as one of your 7-a-day.

    Lime juice (BUY NOW)

    Lemon juice (BUY NOW)

    Soda water (BUY NOW)

    Mint leaves (BUY NOW)

    Sugar Syrup

    Fill a cocktail shaker (I didn’t actually have one so I used my protein shake cup!) with ice.

    Add the gin, lime, lemon, simple syrup, and mint leaves- shake it like a Polaroid for 10 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled glass, garnishing with mint.

    Method.

    Pour all the ingredients into an ice-filled glass and stir. Garnish with an orange twist.

    Good quality gin based cocktails with a bit of party fizz.

     

    Ingredients.

    25ml BLOOM London Dry Gin, (BUY NOW)

    25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice, (BUY NOW)

    10ml sugar syrup (1 part water : 2 parts sugar),

    top with good quality Prosecco or Champagne (BUY NOW)

     

    Method
    Shake the first three ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with bubbles and garnish with pretty edible flowers.

  • Katie Hopkins: Acceptance is like death to LGBT

    Katie Hopkins has waded into the Richard Hammond ice cream debate suggesting acceptance is like death to the LGBT community.

    Wannabe gay icon Katie Hopkins has taken to twitter to share her views over that Grand Tour gay ice cream debacle, sparked by Richard Hammond on Amazon Prime’s flagship motoring show.

    During a discussion in front of live studio audience with his fellow presenters, Jeremy Clarkson and James May, Richard seemed to suggest that only gay men liked ice cream after saying,

    “It’s all right, I don’t eat ice cream. It’s something to do with being straight.”

    The show was first streamed on the 23rd December,

    The comment sparked outrage amongst some on social media, with many suggesting that his comments were “casual homophobia” and suggested that Amazon Prime was complicit in “normalising homophobia”.

    THEGAYUK.com reached out to Amazon for comment on these claims, but no one was available for comment.

    Well now Katie, who has in the past said it was a personal goal to become a gay icon, has put her two pence worth in… by tweeting,

    “Acceptance has now come down to ice cream. Acceptance is like death to LGBT. With it, they cease to be special”.

    Despite her wish to become a gay icon, Katie has angered many in the LGBT community about some of the controversial issues raised in 2016. She didn’t understand why the NHS should provide PrEP to gay and bisexual men, calling the decision “utterly bonkers” and she raged against the NHS having to provide medical assistance to trans people by saying that she didn’t think the NHS should fund Trans people’s “life choices”.  The controversial presenter also wasn’t a fan of the BBC’s revamped “queered up” adaptation of Midsummer Night’s Dream.

    However, earlier this year, she expressed a wish that she’d love for her 7-year-old son to grow up to be gay. She wrote in her Daily Mail column,

    “I hope my son will be gay.

    “He can dance and is proud of his six-pack at seven, which I am taking as a positive sign.

    “I play Kylie to him in the kitchen to show him the way. I hope one day when I am older, perhaps he will finally teach me how to dress with style.”
