Bratavio confront “Mr Showbiz” over Twitter comments

Oh, the shade just got very very real.

This is what happens when you bitch about someone on social media and then invite them on to your talk show for a chat. As this awkward clip shows, you don’t want to start on Bradley Hunt and Ottavio Columbro, who made a name for themselves on X Factor a couple of years ago as the duo Bratavio.

Big Brother star, “Mr Showbiz” real name Simon Gross invited the duo on to his web chat show, when the subject of alleged historic tweets was raised. Well, Bratavio went to town over a hateful tweet in which Simon supposedly called them “talentless”.

In an Instagram post which Bradley described as, “When you confront someone who slags you off online,” Mr Showbiz gets a grilling with the pair eventually walking out on the interview.

It’s possibly the most awkward interview moment of 2018.

When Simon said, “you’re on my show!” Ottavio comes back with “You were begging us to come on your show, you begged”

Just watch as the cringe just gets cringier.

When you confront someone who slags you off online ?????

BRATAVIO: The gay community calls us a DISGRACE

X Factor stars Bratavio have spoken out about the hate they’ve received from the gay community since leaving the ITV talent show.

Speaking on Simon Gross‘s YouTube The Showbiz Show today, singing duo, Bratavio have opened up about the negativity they’ve recieved from the gay community since they left the show. The pair were the first act to be voted off in last year’s series – but had one of the most talked about auditions in the show’s history.

The duo said that they never have trouble when they make appearances at straight clubs, but in gay clubs they say that people snub them and that club-goers shout abuse at them. The pair even fear that they will get pelted with eggs.

    Warwickshire-born Bradley Hunt said,

“I’d say the amount of abuse after the show has been off gay people in clubs and that, I go to all the straight clubs and it’s fine. I go to the gay clubs and they shout ‘fake’, ‘look at them’, ‘don’t ask them for a photograph’.

ALSO READ: Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you’re not a homophobe.

They also claim that many in the community say they are a disgrace, but Bradley hit back saying that he never claimed to be an ambassador and says he’s not “representing” the community.

    He said,

“They say that we disgrace the community and I don’t even that I’m the ambassador for it, I’m not representing it, it’s our personalities that we are showing on the show”.

Ottavio, who appeared in a previous series of X Factor before teaming up with Bradley in 2016 says that the act fear they’ll be attacked on stage.

    He said,

“We always worry when we go onstage that someone is going to throw something at us like eggs or something and if they did that I’d go down the stage and knock them out”.

  • LOOK AT ME | Simon Gross

Having played the Hokey Cokey with Big Brother earlier this year and leaving the show with a cathchphrase that’s more annoying than finger nails scraping on glass, we thought it time to catch up with ‘Showbiz’ Simon who we found rummaging through a bag of Camila Batmanghelidjh cast offs.

TGUK: You’re stepping into the arena of camp music… in terms of campness where do you rate your single:
Full on giving Village People a run for their money?
Move over Steps, Mr Showbiz has arrived?
Geri Halliwell has nothing on me?
SG: Oh definitely it’s up there with the Village People… Geri who?

Ooo she’s started earlier – Geri-Bloody-Halliwell, the campest music business creation ever. Bar none. 2/10

TGUK: Which one of the village people would you like to date?
SG: Just one? Okay, the construction worker? Wait, was there a construction worker? The one with the helmet…

Two questions in and we’re already on helmet talk. Bravo. 9/10

TGUK: He could come around and fix your pipes…
SG: That’s dirty. But yes, he can fix me with his screwdriver.

With a screwdriver? Dear god man, you’re flesh and blood not a distribution board. 5/10
TGUK: God’s answer to gay men is:
-Blue Nun with a Babysham chaser?
-Tom Daley in his tiniest costume?
-The ability to up light a room with a single soft tone light bulb?
SG: Anything with Tom Daley. Tom Daley, the construction guy from Village People and DVD of Weakest Link with Anne Robinson.

We’re so team Anne Robinson. We’d give anything to hear her tell us we’re weak, that we need punishing, that we’ve been naughty, to sit in the cupboard…  10/10

TGUK: Your look seems to consist of glittery jackets, are you channelling Liza Minnelli?
SG: Love Liza! Do you know how much that jacket cost? I got it off a cruise ship. I was thinking about getting it in different colours. When we were shooting the video I didn’t think it was bright enough so I added a boa.

When in doubt add feathers – it’s always been our motto. 10/10

TGUK: Was shouting “Showbiz” at everyone on that first night of Big Brother a stroke of marketing genius or a mistake?
SG: I call it Genius Marketing Mistake. It was me with lots of
new people I went into hyperactive showbiz mode. People shout “Showbiz” at me in the street.

The only other person who has a catch phrase from Big Brother is Nicki “Who Is She?” Grahame and look at her now. You go Showbiz… 6/10

    TGUK: Champagne is?
SG: Something we called in Showbiz a mixer.

We call it breakfast at TGUK Towers. 7/10

TGUK: Who is your favourite Kardashian?
SG: Kim… That butt. I don’t know any of the rest of them, there are so many of them.

You’re right there’s so many of them – every seasons they add another K. It’s like us on the clubbing scene circa 2004. 5/10

TGUK: You said you wanted to be the next Maggie Thatcher discuss?
SG: God, why did I say that? I think she was a strong character and she wore a lot of blue suits…

    Practically twins. 8/0

TGUK: Who would play you in the movie of your life?
    SG: The construction worker. 10/10

There you have it. With a score of 72/100 Simon Gross proves he has what it takes to live a Showbiz life… Liza, Champagne and Maggie’s suits!

  • SINGLE REVIEW: Showbiz Christmas, Simon Gross

    Ahhh… Christmas camp.

There are three things we want in a Christmas song: 1) Camp 2) Camp and 3) Camp and Big Brother’s Showbiz showman Simon Gross delivers all three in outstanding measure in his insta-hit Showbiz Christmas.

Gross manages to shoehorn in his well-worn, some may argue genius catchphrase “Showbiz” into 3 minutes and 10 seconds of pure Christmas campness, the likes of which we haven’t seen since Cliff Richard released Mistletoe and Wine.

Move over Weather Girls, Madonna and Wham, we have a contender for the gayest Christmas single ever released.

If you mix Peter Kay’s Once Upon A Christmas Song, with Britney’s My Only Wish you’re starting to get close to Simon’s Showbiz Christmas.

Fairly speaking it won’t or can’t match Mariah’s 1994 mega hit All I Want For Christmas, which has entered the UK charts every Christmas since 2005, when chart rules changed to allow digital purchases count towards them, but it makes a fair attempt at giving the UK an alternative to whatever bland winner’s song that Simon Cowell is bound to give the UK as it’s Christmas number 1.

With proceeds going to Centrepoint, the charity that aims gives homeless young people a future; there’s never been a better reason to change the Christmas number 1

Available to buy from iTunes and Amazon

  • Showbiz Simon Reveals Christmas Single Artwork

Simon Gross has revealed the artwork for his Christmas single ‘Showbiz Christmas’.

Showbiz Simon is set to go head to head for the coveted Christmas Number 1 slot and will be up against, with almost certainty, whoever wins this year’s X FACTOR. Simon has thrown his showbiz cap into the ring and we’re, yes we’re backing him for that number one spot. It’s super camp and super Christmasy and has been written by gay scene stalwart Jason Prince. And yes he screams Showbiz, quite a bit.

The entertainer, is hoping his single with proceeds going to the charity for the homeless, Centre Point, will make a mark on the UK charts, when its released in a few days on iTunes.

  • MR SHOWBIZ Set To Release Single

The man who screamed “Showbiz” at anyone who would listen during this year’s Big Brother is set to record and release a single, called… you guessed it Showbiz.

Simon Gross, who was the first housemate to be booted and then reinstated became known for his “Showbiz” catchphrase which he shouted constantly during his first few hours in the Big Brother house and then in subsequent TV appearances.

He eventually became the ninth housemate to be evicted back in June

According to his Twitter feed, he’s started working with “top producers” to record and release his debut single, which will be out in September.

  • INTERVIEW | Simon Gross

Mr Showbiz is back in the house. We caught up with him shortly before he went in!

What have you been doing since you were evicted?
It’s been mad. The eviction was a shock and the initial feeling was, “Why me?” Then I went into performing mode and said, “Well, I’ve had my five minutes of fame!” But I was gutted. I felt cheated. It was like being dragged away from your family even though I had only known those people for two hours. It was a horrible feeling. The Timebomb was a good idea but it was brutal.

You were only in for a very short time but did you have any favourites?
I’m a good judge of character and I really took to the twins. I love Chloe. Harriet I really like. I like the real people in the House, because a lot of them are not being real.

    Have you kept watching?
Oh yes, I watch it avidly. I’m not sour!

Who have you suspected of playing a game?
Cristian, Kieran, Danny and Sarah, they’re not my sort of people. I think that they are plastic and boring. They’re not entertaining to watch and they are just arrogant and vain.

You’re coming back in having seen it all. How will you use your knowledge?
I don’t do fake and I’ll bring them back down to earth. There is no strength in that House and that is what I bring. It’s like a cake with no substance. I’m the icing on the cake, darling!

What will you bring to the house this time?
    Entertainment…Electricity!

Will you change your approach from the way you went in first time round?
I was nervous, I had a few drinks and I went into Showbiz mode! I was very loud and I watched it back and thought, “Urgh!” but I made an impression and I will just go in there with a bang. That is the only way I can do it, but this time, I want people to see the real Simon who is a listener, a friend and a leader. Not just somebody who is flamboyant and loud all the time because there is more to me than that.

Were you surprised to get the call asking you back?
I was crying. I still can’t believe it. I was so emotional and I felt like I had won the lottery and now I have been given another chance.

Now you’re a Timebomb yourself, can you live up to it?
Yes! I’m just Simon. I’m big, I’m in your face but I’m real as well. No one got to see it last time but they are going to see it this time. The recognition I have had from the public has been tremendous just from that two hour stint. I was standing in Tesco on Sunday and there were people chanting “Showbiz” at me in the middle of the store! I will go in with a bang and live up to the Timebomb in my second, well-deserved, place.

Will they be pleased to see you?
Yes. I hope so. Why not? They seemed pretty shocked when I left, but if I walk in and there are long faces then I’ll just make my mark and say, “Well, I am back bitch” and get on with it.

Is it an advantage to go out and come back in?
Yes, of course! I have got to know the people more. I know what I am walking into. It feels like you’re bringing a new flavour to it and I feel privileged to be part of it.

    Are you nervous?
I feel like you could do anything to me now and I would just bounce straight back.

  • Will Simon Gross Re Enter The Big Brother House?

Simon Gross entered the Big Brother house on launch night, however his journey as a housemate ended shortly after. He became Big Brother’s first TimeBomb victim.

The “SHOWBIZ” king was booted from the show within two hours of the show’s start, making history as the first male ever to be the first evictee. However in a twist which will be revealed in tonight’s show, four new housemates will put into the house.

Big Brother has given details about three of the new housemates, but has remained tight lipped about the fourth only saying, “as an added surprise, one of the ‘new’ housemates will be a very familiar face…”

Since Simon’s departure he has been a featured guest in Rylan’s aftershow Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and has become notorious for his catchphrase, “Showbiz”

Sneaky and devilish. We like we like.

  • Simon Gross First Ever Male Housemate To Be Evicted First From Big Brother

Surprise Eviction: Simon was evicted from the Big Brother House, becoming the first ever male to be evicted first from Big Brother.

Last night during the Big Brother: Timebomb Live Launch, Emma Willis surprised the Housemates with the first live eviction.

Viewers were given the opportunity to vote via a free poll on the Big Brother app. They voted to select five Housemates to take part in the first Timebomb Twist. The five Housemates were Adjoa, Jack, Jade, Nick and Simon and they took part in a game which had huge consequences for one Housemate and rewards for others.

Adjoa, Jack, Jade, Nick and Simon had to stand in front of five Timebomb podiums which had the Housemates fate inside. Jack got immunity and he will receive 3 immunity passes throughout the series. Nick got nominations, and he will have to nominate face to face throughout his time in the house. Jade got luxury and she will receive a luxury shopping budget, exclusively for her to use at some point during her time in the House. Adjoa received nothing, and Simon received an eviction.

Simon became the first person to leave the Big Brother House. He told his fellow Housemates upon leaving “Have a great time all of you…it’s been fantastic…showbiz”.

Simon left the House to boos. When speaking to Emma he said: “For my five minutes of fame it was fantastic, I’ve got a career to go back to…its showbiz. I’ve had so many rejections in my career it’s just one of many, its showbiz…I would have been fabulous buy that’s the way it goes. I think they will have a really fantastic summer”.

Join Emma on Friday night at 9pm for a special live episode where a second time bomb will drop on the Housemates. Very soon, viewers will be able to vote via the Big Brother app and Big Brother wants to know who should be the winner of Big Brother: Timebomb. During this second free poll which will close during Friday’s live show, the Housemate with the most votes won’t actually be crowned the winner on Friday. They will discover they’re the most popular Housemate and that popularity comes with a price. The Housemate will need to make a devastating decision that will affect the entire house…

Big Brother: Timebomb returns tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.
