This week is anti-bullying week. We’ve compiled some tips to combat bullying.
Bullying takes many forms: name-calling, making negative comments on your work, making someone feel worthless, physical abuse are just some examples.
So we’ve put some tips together to help anyone out there who might be being bullied. It doesn’t matter if you’re being bullied at school, college, university, work or home.
Remember if you are being bullied remember it’s not your fault.
Write Everything Down
Keep a log of every incident; write down the date, time, location, what happened, what they said and any witnesses that were around.
Tell Someone
Tell someone in authority and ask them what they intend to do about it. Tell them any fears you have about reprisals from the bully.
Someone you trust, like a family member or a friend, can also be useful. It means that you’re not dealing with the problem on your own; a problem shared is a problem halved.
Get Support
Don’t try to deal with it and your feelings about it all on your own. Get some support. Consider counselling for some additional support around your feelings.

Health experts call on the government to offer ‘catch-up’ HPV vaccination to boys up to age 18 to protect them against fatal diseases
16 leading experts in the field of HPV and the diseases it can cause have written to the public health minister Steve Brine MP urging him to offer HPV vaccination to boys aged up to 18 as a catch-up programme. This would run alongside the vaccination programme for 12/13 year old boys which the government intends to roll out from September 2019.
The experts have also called on the minister to make a firm commitment to starting boys’ vaccination next year rather than just saying he intends to do so.
The letter’s signatories include: Mick Armstrong, chair of the British Dental Association; Professor Michael Escudier, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal Collage of Surgeons; Hisham Mehanna, Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Birmingham; Ian Mills, Dean, Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK); Professor Chris Nutting, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital; and Dr Olwen Williams, President of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV.
Ministers have so far rejected the case for a catch-up programme for boys on the grounds that boys are partly protected by the vaccination of girls. The experts point out, however, that the government’s own vaccination advisory committee (JCVI) recommended HPV vaccination for boys precisely because vaccinating girls offers boys inadequate protection. Moreover, men who have sex with men are completely unprotected by the girls’ programme. The experts also state that when the girls’ programme was introduced in 2008, they benefited from a catch-up programme and boys should be entitled to the same on the grounds of fairness.
The announcement of the decision to vaccinate boys was long overdue. It was originally promised in 2015 but took three more years to become policy. In that time, around one million boys missed out on HPV vaccination and they are therefore at risk. The experts argue that the opportunity must be seized to vaccinate as many boys as possible while they are still at school and therefore easier to reach.
Commenting on the letter, HPV Action’s Campaign Director Peter Baker said: ‘The government must not ignore the views of 16 leading experts in the HPV field. It must reconsider its short-sighted decision not to offer boys a catch-up programme and it must also make an unequivocal commitment to start vaccinating boys from next September. Boys can no longer be left at risk of developing potentially fatal cancers and other diseases caused by HPV.’
In the latest issue of i-D, global pop star, Harry Styles interviewed the star of last year’s breakout gay movie, Call Me By Your Name, Timothée Chalamet. One thing on his mind, evidently, was that now famous peach scene.
If you don’t know about the peach scene, spoiler alert, in the movie, the sexually frustrated teen that Chalamet plays ends up having sex with the peach. It’s a bit iconic and definitely one of the sexy sex movies we suggest you try at home.
In the interview, Styles asks, “Can you still eat peaches?”
Laughing Chalamet replied, “Umm I can, but not without thinking about it…”
Styles confessed, “I’ve had a hard time…”
Chalamet continued, “That’s the most awkward scene to see with your parents in the whole world. My poor father…”
“I’m sure he’s done it too,”
Uhhh? Suddenly the interview turns down the path of a fruit f**king father. Weird, just weird.
Researchers who polled 2,000 adults aged 21-38 found many would struggle to get by if they were to find themselves out of work suddenly.
According to the data a whopping 41 per cent of their income is spent on rent or mortgage and bills, while another £160.71 goes on food and groceries every month.
That means overall £1,928.52 a year goes out of their bank account on living costs.
Despite this eight in 10 young Brits believe they are ‘good’ with money.
The study was carried out by Perkbox to launch its new card-linking technology.
Ashish Sampat of Perkbox said, “Despite the negative stereotypes about ‘broke millennials’ many do try their best to save.
“The reality is that they have bigger problems to face compared to previous generations.
“They shoulder more student loan debt and face house prices that are far higher than their parents did at the same age.
“It’s no surprise then, that they inevitably struggle more with savings.”
On average, those polled will spend £55.41 down the pub each month, £39.86 will go on clubbing and £42.65 will be spent on gambling.
They will also pay out £43.08 to watch streaming services, £47.87 on gadgets or tech and £48.97 on dining out.
Appearances are also important as they shell out £65.18 on clothes and £43.11 on keeping fit.
It also emerged most of these young adults – seven in 10 – pay for their items using cards rather than cash.
They also shop around for good deals – typically spending 25 minutes looking for bargains before making a purchase.
Their financial savviness doesn’t end here either, with 70 per cent owning a loyalty card – typically five of them.
But the research, carried out by OnePoll, also found half of millennials would like to see retailers introduce loyalty cards which are connected to their smartphone.
It also emerged that when it comes to privacy, a whopping 68 per cent per cent trust that their data is secure when buying online.
In addition to this, 30 per cent of those polled would prefer discounts from local business in their area, rather than those from high street chains.
Ashish Sampat added: “An attractive bargain must go beyond just making offers available to users.
“Millennials expect highly-personalised, easy to find, on-demand experiences and furthermore, authenticity is a huge thing for them, hence their value for local businesses.
“Spending an average of 25 minutes looking for a bargain is way too excessive.
“That’s why we’re so excited about introducing card-linking technology to our platform.
“It will enable us to connect employees with their favourite local businesses and get access to thousands of perks with just a swipe of the linked payment card at the point of sale.”

Speaking to the Daily Beast about his new project, a play called Thom Pain, Dexter actor, Michael C Hall spoke about his own sexuality, saying that he thinks that sexuality is on a spectrum and that making out with a male actor night after night made him “lean” into being sexually fluid.
He told the website, “I think there’s a spectrum. I am on it … If there was a percentage, I would say I was not all the way heterosexual.”
He continued: “I think playing the emcee required me to fling a bunch of doors wide open because that character I imagined as pansexual … Yeah, like I made out with Michael Stuhlbarg every night doing that show. I think I have always leaned into any fluidity in terms of my sexuality.”
TheGayUk.com recently asked its reader whether thought that sexuality was on a spectrum. Over two-thirds of readers believe that sexuality is indeed on a spectrum.
Speaking about his desire for a more intimate relationship with a man, Hall revealed,
“I’ve never had an intimate relationship with a man,
“I think, maybe because of an absent father, there has definitely been a craving for emotional intimacy with a man.”
“I don’t mean to suggest that an emotional relationship between a father and son is any way homoerotic. I mean an emotional intimacy or connection that at least in the milieu I grew up in was considered fey.”
However, he stated that “as a rule” he identified as heterosexual.
According to Tom Daley, his husband, Dustin Lance Black, is in surgery after an accident.
Dustin Lance Black is in hospital according to his husband, Tom Daley, after the Oscar-winning writer injured his knee dancing at a wedding. The writer apparently snapped his anterior cruciate ligament whilst attempting “dad dancing”.
The news was shared on Instagram by the diving Olympian, who published an intimate snap of the two kissing at a wedding the pair were attending. Of the picture, the diver wrote, “This was taken at the wedding we attended, where Lance snapped his ACL. He’s currently in surgery getting it fixed! Sending love and positive vibes his way”.
According to Healthline.com, “An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is an injury to the ligament in your knee that keeps your shinbone from sliding forward. The ACL stabilizes your knee, so tearing it either partially or completely can cause pain and swelling. It’s a common injury among athletes”.

A man in his late 60s has launched a legal battle to try and lower his age from 69 to 49.
Emile Ratelband is arguing that if people can legally change their gender then he should be able to legally change his age.
According to Sky News, the Dutch entrepreneur wants to change his date of birth after his doctors advised him that he has a body of a 45-year-old. He says he wants to change his birthday from 11th March 1949 to 11th March 1969.
Ratelband is using the argument if transgender people can legally change their gender then he should be able to change his age.
Ratelband told De Telegraaf: “You can change your name. You can change your gender. Why not your age? Nowhere are you so discriminated against as with your age.”
He has also cited that he has been on the receiving end of discrimination, particularly when it comes to employment and his love life. He said, “When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work.
“When I’m on Tinder and it says I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.”
The case is being heard in Arnhem, Gelderland, where it is expected to last for up to four weeks.
If you’re wondering why your penis seems to be shrinking, apparently, it’s probably because of your FUPA.
We have a lot of data about the size of men’s penises, we even know where the UK fits in compared to the rest of the world, however penis size from 60 years ago is near impossible to obtain, so finding out whether our penises are getting smaller as we age, is difficult to compare to previous generations of men.
However, it is suggested that perhaps because we are living longer up to 30 years longer, (one in three of us now lives past the age of 100), and are weighing a lot more than we used to.
What the hell is a FUPA?
This means that as we get older unless we retain good health and a flat tummy, our penises could be shrouded in fat. Above the penis where your pubic hair grows, there is what some people call a fat pad. Some call it the FUPA (Fat Upper Pubic Area).
There’s an old adage that for every stone you lose you gain an inch down there – well technically that could be true – depending on the size of your FUPA. It could be actually hiding the first inch or two of your penis.
An article by Doctor Phil Hammond for the Telegraph has suggested that perhaps our manhoods are getting smaller because of our bellies.
“A big belly makes your penis look smaller, and if you can’t see it at all when you look down you need to get a grip quickly. You’re at high risk of type two diabetes and arterial disease, which can also affect the frequency and firmness of your erections.
“The bottom line is that a good erection is a sign of good physical and mental health, but for most women, your smile and smell are far more important than actual size.”
Cosmeticare.com suggests that there are numerous ways to help you rid yourself of the FUPA, including: reducing your stress levels, getting a better diet – rich in fruit and whole grains, anti-inflammatory foods such as watery veg, but also cosmetic procedures including freezing your fat or liposuction.
Can exercise help?
(C) BIGSTOCK
There’s always exercise as well, GayFitnessUK.com suggests a range of ideas to help you shed body fat, adding, “Cutting body fat can be difficult, and staying on a healthy nutritious diet can be tough and at times de-motivating. Allow yourself treats every now and then, but try and stick to your healthy diet and workout plan at least 90% of the time. And once you reach your goal, don’t fall back to old habits. It’s better to stay on the nutritious path you’ve carved out for yourself in order to keep the results!”
