  • Convicted paedophile director of Jeepers Creepers had child abuse joke in his new film

It has emerged that Victor Salva, convicted of child molestation in 1988 had child abuse jokes in his new film Jeepers Creepers 3.

The director, who was sentenced to three years in prison in 1988 for abusing a child on his film Clownhouse is said to have incorporated child abuse jokes into his new film.

The film, allegedly had a scene in which a character sympathised with a child molester saying,

“Can you blame the step-dad, though?

“I mean, look at her. The heart wants what it wants, am I right?”

Joke did not make the cut

The scene did not make the cut in the officially released version of the film but was featured on the screener versions sent to film critics and reviewers.

The film had a controversial start when the Union of British Columbia Performers released a statement to Canadian casting agents warning them that Salva was looking for an adult actor to play the part of the 13-year-old girl. Numerous casting sites dropped the ad.

After his conviction in 1988, Salva served 15 months of his three-year sentence and completed his parole in 1992.

Speaking about his abuse, actor Nathan Forrest Winters said of Salva: “He spent the better part of a year grooming me and my parents. Developing the trust. It was very calculated, and a long process, as it is with most paedophiles.”

THEGAYUK.com reached out to the film’s US distributor, Screen Media Films for comment.

Jeepers Creepers 3 is out now in US cinemas.

  • Six men are facing anal examinations in Egypt in crackdown on gay people

Six men have been arrested in Egypt and are facing an invasive rectal and anal examination in a crackdown against gay people.

Amnesty International has reported that six men in Egypt have been arrested and are facing “invasive forensic anal examinations” to prove their homosexuality.

The arrests, on the evening of 27 September, came shortly after Egypt’s chief prosecutor announced an investigation in response to a public backlash against a recent concert in Cairo by the Lebanese band Mashrou’ Laila where members of the crowd raised a rainbow flag.

Days after the rainbow flag was raised, Egyptian authorities began arresting men on charges of “debauchery”, the first of which, a 19-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison, followed by six years of probation.

The Rainbow flag is seen as an international symbol of LGBT+ rights and equality. Egypt has no LGBT+ protections and same-sex sex between men although not specifically outlawed can be punished under morality laws.

Two other men who were arrested earlier this week and are currently detained in Agouza police station in Cairo are due to stand trial on 11 October. Another two men were arrested on 28 September and are detained in Dokki police station.

Although not specifically outlawed, gay sex can be punished under morality laws with punishments including imprisonment of up to 17 years,  hard labour and fines. The country has abysmal legal protections for LGBT+ people.

“Forced anal examinations are abhorrent and amount to torture”

The Forensic Medical Authority is due to subject the six men to anal examinations to determine whether they have engaged in same-sex sexual relations. Amnesty International believes that such examinations violate the prohibition of torture and other ill-treatment under international law.

“The fact that Egypt’s Public Prosecutor is prioritizing hunting down people based on their perceived sexual orientation is utterly deplorable. These men should be released immediately and unconditionally – not put on trial,” said Najia Bounaim, North Africa Campaigns Director at Amnesty International.

“Forced anal examinations are abhorrent and amount to torture. The Egyptian authorities have an appalling track record of using invasive physical tests which amount to torture against detainees in their custody. All plans to carry out such tests on these men must be stopped immediately.”

    Human rights violations

According to AI, anal examinations violate the UN Convention against Torture, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the African Convention on Human and Peoples’ Rights. The UN Committee against Torture has emphasized that they “have no medical justification and cannot be consented to fully.”

  • Those Bromans are now comparing d sizes

    “Give ’em what they want…”

Those Bromans are now comparing d sizes

We can almost hear the ITV execs screaming at the producers of Bromans – ITV2 brand new reality vehicle. Despite it being oh so very heteronormative they’ve managed to squeeze just enough gay into it, to satisfy us here at THEGAYUK.com.

In a heart to heart, two of the Bromans. Brandon and Glenn turn to the subject of peen sizes – over lunch. Well, if you are going to talk about willies, why not over a heart chilli special.

Glenn said to Brandon, “So everybody in here’s saying you’ve got a massive schlong”.

Brandon replied, “Tom loves it, he was literally going on about it, saying, ‘You’re the most longest I’ve ever seen, how do you do it?” I was like, ‘I don’t know I think it’s just natural’.”

Glenn, whose interest was piqued, asked, “How big is it?”, ever the man after our own hearts…
“It’s a bit like the chilli,” Brandon shot back.

And then that’s when this happened.

What ensued was basically porn, as Brandon fed Glenn his chilli. We sh*t you not.

Glenn revealed that his friends call him “Girthy Glenn…” – a picture we can not/do not want to get out of our heads.

You can catch up with all the comparing on the ITV HUB.

Two men had entered the McColls shop and threatened three assistants with a knife.

  • History is made as two men wed in a UK Church

A gay couple in Scotland has made UK history after getting married in a Church.

Peter Matthews and Alistair Dinnie have made history after becoming the first same-sex wedding to take place in a church wedding. The marriage was permitted because rules around gay marriages in churches were relaxed earlier this year – but only for churches in Scotland.

The couple Peter Matthews and Alistair Dinnie were married at St John’s Church, run by the Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC).

The Scottish Episcopal Church was the first Christian church in the UK to allow same-sex marriage in its churches. The rule change was not mandated however and clergy will not be forced to officiate at those marriages if it goes against their conscience.

The amendment to canon law on marriage, which removed the stipulation that marriage is only between a man and a woman, was carried by the Synod in Edinburgh.

Same-sex marriages cannot take place in Church of England churches or at all in Northern Ireland.

  • This Brighton church welcomes its first non-binary, trans man ordained minister

A Brighton church is the first to welcome their first non-binary, trans man minister.

Rev. Peta Evans is to join the church in Brighton as an Associate Pastor. The Village Metropolitan Community Church is a church which was created by LGBT+ Christians, their families, their friends and allies.

The Reverend’s first sermon is due to be given on the 8th October at 6 PM at the Village MCC. In 2010 Peta left Brighton to train a clergy intern in North London and now is returning to Brighton

When not ministering, Peta is a care-worker and tailor.

Rev. Peta said, “Returning to Brighton, I am excited to serve again in the community which first welcomed me and supported me in both my ministry journey and my gender transition. I would love to see the sincere passion and integrity of The Village MCC reach out even more widely to people of all ages, gender identities and walks of life.

“I am also enthusiastic about reclaiming the Bible from those who have tried to make it a weapon against those who are different, and I’m starting a group for Trans people to do just that, ReTranslation, to look at the text for themselves without past interpretations getting in the way. I have a love for Celtic spirituality, which weaves together the practical and the spiritual, finding depth and delight in all things, no matter how mundane, and for creative expressions of spirituality, which I hope to share with The Village in the coming months.”

Rev. Michael Hydes, Senior Pastor of The Village MCC said, “I’m looking forward to working with Rev. Peta. Their rootedness in Celtic Christianity and experience working in the Trans communities are just two of the many gifts they bring to their work. I know we’ll all be enriched by their participation in our church life and leadership within our community of faith.”

  • COMMENT | Discovering I was different

    What was I?

Getting information was difficult in the 1970s. It was all so confusing. My point of reference was the tabloid press. It was what my father and grandfather read and the only available resource. I knew I couldn’t ask them.

When an actor or pop singer was in disgrace for an unmentionable act with a member of the same sex, it was all so vague. I thought I knew that couldn’t be me though as I couldn’t act or sing and had no desire for the attire and makeup of the glam rock era.

In the playground, I heard the same derogatory remarks slung at boys from each other “you’re a bummer, a wanker, a homo and a queer.” The narrative had an intent to offend and insult, but I didn’t know what the words meant. Did one of those words describe me?

The narrative had an intent to offend and insult, but I didn’t know what the words meant. Did one of those words describe me?

It was about 2.45pm on a Wednesday afternoon in the early summer of 1974. I was 11 years old. Taking the Environmental Studies class was Miss Barker a temporary teacher. It was her first day and our first lesson with her.

She was a  pretty young woman in her early to mid 2os. Casually dressed in jeans and a white T-shirt with a v-neck. Her cleavage was pert and visible. The colour of the clothing and bra beneath did nothing to conceal that she had nipples like Tractor stater buttons.

One of my friends suggested he would like Miss Barker to run her fingers down his spine. He shivered as if the thought of it had made him tingle all over. The other boys we were sat with all eagerly joined in expressing similar opinions.

I knew I did not want her to touch me. Geoff the boy at the front who was athletic, having experienced a pre-teenage explosion of testosterone would be my choice.

I don’t know why but I didn’t share it with the others. I knew it meant I was different but I did not have a name for it; or anyone I could talk to about it. In that instant, I had learned something about me and I knew it would be my secret for some time into the future.

It would be nearly 5 more years before I found out, I was not one of those playground taunts; but that I had hit the jackpot and was all of them!
