  • So is Cristiano Ronaldo gay?

We’re not quite sure, but it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly responded to an anti-gay slur by responding in a pretty impressive way.

    Is Cristiano Ronaldo gay?

Some people have long suspected that legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is gay and when Rihanna seemingly outed him back in 2013 it seemed as though we had our answer, but the sports star has remained tight-lipped about his sexuality ever since. That was until Ronaldo allegedly replied to a gay slur, that he was “a faggot” and a rich one at that.

That was until a conversation between Cristiano and a fellow teammate was overheard in the locker room in which Cristiano was explaining an incident between himself and another footballer.

The Sun reports that after an altercation between Cristiano and Koke in which Koke allegedly called him a “faggot”. The footie star reportedly answered: “A faggot, yes. But a rich one, bastard.”

Radio station Cadena Cope claims that it heard a conversation between Cristiano and a teammate in the visitor’s changing room after the game.

They claim the following conversation happened:

Ronaldo: “Koke called me a faggot.”
    Team-mate: “What?”
Ronaldo: “You‘re a faggot, he said to me.”
Team-mate: “He said that to you?”
Ronaldo: “I told him, ‘if we meet each other in Madrid, you will see what I will do’.”
Team-mate: “What are you going to do to him?”
Ronaldo: “Nothing. What can I do?”
Another team-mate who came in later: “Who said that?”
Ronaldo: “Koke, he called me a faggot. I told him, ‘a faggot, yes. But a rich one, b****** ’.

Cristiano has previously been linked romantically to a number of high-profile women including model Alice Goodwin and Gemma Atkinson. He also dated Russian model Irina Shayk however, their relationship ended in 2015. The footballer is also father to one son, also named Cristiano. He has never revealed the identity to the mother of the child.

  • Nearly seventy percent of GayUK readers fear travelling to US following Donald Trump victory

Nearly seventy percent of GayUK readers fear travelling to US following Donald Trump victory

Shocking statistics from a flash poll undertaken by THEGAYUK has shown that they have concerns about travelling to the US after the results of the presidential election.

A Trump presidency could cause troubles for the LGBT tourism industry in the US after a flash poll undertaken by THEGAYUK on Twitter showed that 69 per cent of potential LGBT holiday-makers have concerns travelling to the US after the election of Donald Trump as the country’s President-elect.

A further 15 percent who responded said that they were unsure whether the election’s result would make them less safe, while 16 percent said that it made no difference to their opinion on travelling to the States.

Donald Trump was made President-elect after a historic vote on the 9th November 2016.

When we asked our Facebook followers, “Do you think travel to America as someone LGBT will change under President Trump and VP Pence?” we received a mixed response.

    Scott said,

“For at least the next 3 months or so racial and other tensions are far too high. Unless you’re heading to California or possibly New York I’d stay away for a while.”

    While Johnathan said,

“That’s a tough one… I can’t see Trump making laws that says all LGBT people must be round up and imprisoned, so the odds of his government affecting my holiday is quite slim.

On the other hand though, if you’re visiting small towns in America then I would question how safe I felt against the gun wielding public. However, I don’t think an election can turn someone homophobic. You’re either already pro gay so would be happy to see me pre or post Trump, or you’ve just always been a c**t.”

    While Anthony pointed out,

No. Why would it? I very much doubt he is going to roll back LBGT rights. He’s not that stupid.

Khan’s “Night Tzar” under pressure after calling George Osborne a C**T

Amy Lamé is under pressure to put her political leanings to one side after a number of Tweets she sent before her appointment as London’s “Night Tzar” criticise Tory politicians.

Earlier this month the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan appointed Amy Lamé as a figurehead in supporting London’s 24-hour economy. However, she has come under pressure to put her politics to one side after a number of offensive Tweets to numerous Tory politicians were unearthed.

Leaders of Conservative-run boroughs in London are calling on Amy Lamé to show bipartisanship after she described Conservative MSP Ruth Davidson as ” Tory scum” during the Stonewall Awards, and called former Chancellor, George Osbourne a “c**t”.

In a Tweet sent in 2015, Amy said,

“I could say that @George_Osborne is a c***. but he has neither the warmth not the depth. #tampontax”

In a letter to Amy, leaders of six boroughs, Westminster, Wandsworth, Bexley, Kensington & Chelsea, Hillingdon and Kingston councils, which are all Conservative-led, pointed out that the new Night Czar had made her political leanings “very clear”.

    They wrote:

“We are therefore writing to seek reassurance that you will approach your important new role in a bipartisan way and work constructively with Conservative councils.

“We ask that you put your political bias to one side and set out how you will work with all councils to promote and protect Greater London’s night time economy.”

According to the Evening Standard, a City Hall spokesman said,

“We are confident that Amy will have an excellent relationship with councillors from all political parties.”

Can’t get a date? 50 biggest turn offs revealed

Are you finding it hard to get a date? Perhaps it’s time to invest in some soap and a new deodorant.

Talking about ex-partners, being rude to waiting staff and having dirty fingernails are among the biggest turn-offs on a first date, a study has revealed.

Wearing ‘bad shoes’ and talking about yourself in the third person also appeared in the top 50 lists of no-nos.

The poll of 2,000 single people by e-cigarette pioneers blu revealed bad body odour as the top turn-off.

Almost three-quarters of adults said it would be their main reason to avoid a follow-up date.

Second place went to bad tempers, followed by lying, acting selfishly and having bad breath.

The study also found that people would prefer to date someone who vaped, over one who smoked.

Some people – clearly still haunted by their experiences – logged very specific complaints, including one encounter in which a man went on at great length about his hobby of collecting PARROT shaped ornaments.

Fifty-three per cent said they form an opinion on someone in 15 minutes or less, and over half would ditch someone who seemed otherwise perfect but had one glaring flaw.

The poll also showed wholesome traits were still valued as the most important qualities in a date, favouring a sense of humour and good hygiene over wealth and fashion sense, with non-smoking also a key consideration in a partner.

Jon Solimando, Brand Director at blu, said,

“Between the multitude of online apps, not to mention traditional ways like meeting in a bar or club, Brits now have more options than ever before to help them line up a first date.

“As an alternative to ‘turning off’ potential dates through smoking, as this research has shown, adult smokers can now get six weeks’ worth of blu products for less than the price of a pack of cigarettes upon signing up at love.blu.com.”

The study was carried out as part of blu’s new ‘Six Weeks to Fall in Love’ offer.

  • THEATRE REVIEW | Tonight with Donny Stixx, The Bunker

THEATRE REVIEW | Tonight with Donny Stixx, The Bunker

★★★★ | Tonight with Donny Stixx, The Bunker

    CREDIT: Savannah Photographic

Donny Stixx is a boy with problems. He’s the product of a troubled background but he’s putting all that behind him for one night of audience questions and answers as he jokes with the audience, winking cheekily and tells us all about his rise to fame and his magic act. Sadly, Donny isn’t as famous for his dated magic show as he is for other things and he’s not known as the most hated boy in England for nothing. His cheesy ‘end of the pier show’ facade soon drops and despite his rage at the questions about the shootings, he’s going to tell us all about it.

Multi award-winning playwright Philip Ridley is a master at capturing the darker side of the human condition and the story of Donny Stixx is a fine example of his work. Like its companion piece Dark Vanilla Jungle this is a one person show that features a troubled teenager. The script is witty and fast paced and almost dizzying as Donny bombards the audience with his repartee. There’s a cosy and domestic theme to his rambling that draws you in but soon falls apart as a much scarier and uncontained Donny breaks through.

Director David Mercatali has a fine pedigree of presenting Ridley’s works and this is no exception. Sean Michael Verey (Pramface) hits all the right notes as Donny. He manages to convey both an endearing vulnerability and a truly chilling rage as he interacts with an imaginary audience (don’t worry, there’s a fourth wall). It’s not hard to see why he won awards for this performance at The Edinburgh Fringe. The new space of The Bunker at Southwark is a fine home for a piece like this. It’s an intimate new 110 seat venue in an old underground car park (you may want to take a warm coat) next to The Menier Chocolate Factory (a short walk from London Bridge Station). The sparse staging helps to centre attention on Verey’s powerful performance.

Donny Stixx raises interesting issues about the nature of the lost and lonely teenager and how society can fail them. If you want an evening that’s funny but as far away from the saccharine highs of a West End musical as can be then this is a must see.

Tonight with Donny Stixx plays at The Bunker Theatre until 3rd December

Apparently, Simon Cowell knows what’s he’s doing with Honey G in this year’s X Factor!

Speaking in an exclusive interview with THEGAYUK.com former X Factor star Danyl Johnson spoke about how Honey G is just part of the fabric of X Factor and how acts like hers are all part of the excitement of the show.

“The thing is, everyone gets really uptight about these, the enjoyable acts, but they’ve always been in the thread of X Factor. They have always been there. From Chico to Jedward, to Wagner to Honey G right now.

“They’ve always been there. The X Factor is not just about singing, it’s about having something that people are talking about. Undeniably, every single person is talking about Honey G.

Another week, another gay jibe at Louis Walsh.

It seems as though “casual homophobia” is the new thing for Saturday night TV. Last night Peter Kay, whilst on the BBC, was blasted on social media for a joke some decided was homophobic and over on ITV Simon Cowell, once again, made a comment alluding to Louis Walsh‘s sexuality and viewers are starting to notice the frequency at which it happens.

In Saturday’s (19th Nov) broadcast of the X Factor, Simon Cowell questions why Louis might like Matt Terry over Ryan Lawrie, after the 64-year-old judge told Ryan that Matt was better than him. Simon’s response, it seems, was done in such a way that many people took to Twitter to call him out on his “gay jibes”.

    https://twitter.com/tomstoneman/status/800070259873116160

A couple of weeks ago another comment by Simon prompted huge speculation over Louis’s sexuality. During the critique of Matt Terry’s performance of “I’m Your Man”, which Louis thought was “a bit karaoke”, Simon aimed his critique at Louis saying, “This is the first time Louis has said I don’t like I’m Your Man.”

This isn’t the first time Simon has made jokes with someone’s sexuality as the butt of the joke (pun intended). During a live Xtra Factor broadcast, Simon asked Rylan Clark-Neal whether he liked the backdoor.

Peter Kay has come under some strong criticism after a joke towards Strictly celeb Judge Rinder backfired.

The comedian was blasted on social media after telling Robert Rinder that his, “case was closed” after pretending that the Judge had touched his backside.

Speaking to Judge Rinder directly Peter Kay said,

“Hang on let me say hello to this fellow, he’s fantastic,” before the pair hugged. Peter Kay backing away continued, “Steady, watch it me lord! This case is firmly closed!”

Almost immediately viewers on Twitter slammed the comedian for his poor judgement and “homophobia”.

  • Lance Bass has taken drastic measures to stop sweating

So what is Lance Bass doing to stop sweating through his clothes?

In pictures posted to social media Lance Bass is seen taking drastic measures to stop underarm sweating through his clothing. Yes, he’s having botox injected into his arms pits and it looks super painful.

The former boy bander joked, that he should be putting the injections into his forehead, but putting it into his arm pits saves him a fair few $$$’s in dry cleaning!

“I should be putting #Botox in my forehead , but putting it under my arms saves a lot of wardrobe under the hot lights”

Botox is known to stop the sweat glands from producing sweat for around six months at a time and can be useful to control excessive sweating. You can use Botox to stop sweating in your palms too!
