    What does AFAB mean? And is it offensive to us?

    AFAB stands for Assigned Female At Birth, where a person’s gender was given by medical professionals based on the baby’s genitalia found at birth giving a person a biological sex marker on their birth certificate. In this case, AFAB would mean that doctors or midwives found the baby to have a vagina, therefore, would assign female to their birth certificate.

    Using the AFAB acronym could also be used to describe a person’s former gender or biological sex identity – used in the case where the person now lives as non-binary, a trans man or masculine-presenting or a factual status on a woman’s gender identity.

    No, but as with most language, it is how the words are applied or the context in which they are used where offensive can be taken. As being described as AFAB is a fact it shouldn’t be considered problematic unless the person you are referring to has said that they are uncomfortable with being called by a certain term. It could in the case of a transgender person out them as trans, or lead to a situation of deadnaming or deadgendering.

    Tiger King star Joe Exotic is apparently looking into legal actions after he reported that some eBay dealers say they are selling his clothes.

    Joe Exotic (or someone who is controlling his Twitter account) has blasted sellers on bidding sites, like eBay, for apparently selling clothes that belong to the Tiger King star.

    He warned, “Buyers beware, my clothing are turning up for sale on-site such as eBay etc”,

    But the controversial and outspoken star, who is currently serving a prison sentence, warned that he has not authorised the sale of any clothes adding that anything that is for sale with his name attached is fake.

    He also told fans that his lawyer was already in the process of taking legal action against anyone selling clothes purportedly belonging to the former Zookeeper and Governor candidate.

    In fact, Joe’s most outrageous clothes are being looked after by his husband, Dillion Passage.

    Photos on Joe’s twitter account showed bundles of brightly coloured clothing with the warning, “these pictures are some of my clothes that are with my husband and nothing is for sale at this time”.

    Pretty shady to be selling clothes that aren’t actually authentic… so buyers beware.

    Poppers… the great marmite of the gay world. Some people love and swear by them, others loathe them and stay clear at all costs.

    The problem is and particularly in your case is that they lead to a drop in blood pressure but cause your heart rate to rise, meaning that you’re adding extra pressure to your heart. Now without knowing what medication you’re on it’s impossible to say whether this reaction is safe or not for you.

    Since you’ve already suffered from heart issues, I would exercise caution and would urge you to seek advice from your own GP who knows your circumstances and the medication you’re on to manage your heart condition and whether it will interact with Popper usage.

    We asked a GP and he told us,

    “Poppers are a form of nitrate, so it’s not advisable to use them if you have a previous heart condition. Particularly as it can interact with some heart medications.

    If you are already on nitrate-based medication like isosorbide mononitrate or GTN spray, it’s a definite no-no.

    Whatever you do, don’t take Viagra and poppers together as they could lead to huge problems, including death as this doctor warned last year.

    Remember the biggest stimulant is your mind. So, instead of reaching for that little bottle to get your rocks off, why not try out something new, play an erotic game or explore what is exciting to you, like an unexplored kink or fantasy.

    We all know that Poppers have long been used to help relax the butthole for anal sex so if that’s your issue, you could always look to using numbing lube or anal training butt plugs to make take that D a little easier.

    April’s Acts Of Remembrance by 17-24-30 cancelled, and to go online

    The annual Acts Of Remembrance organised by the 17-24-40 National Hate Crime Awareness Week to remember three attacks that terrorised London’s minorities during April 1999, resulting in the nail bombing of the Admiral Duncan pub have been cancelled following the Government’s advice that there are to be no public gatherings of more than two people.

    The nail bomb attack on the Admiral Duncan pub killed three people and injured 70 more.

    Every year the charity organises three events to mark the bombings that took place in Brixton, Brick Lane and in Soho. This year those events have been cancelled and an online event will take place instead.

    The organisation also paid tribute to a volunteer who sadly passed away in March.

    Paul Quigley volunteered for the organisation sadly died in March from complications from COVID-19.

    17-24-30 cancelled all volunteer sessions on the 10th March – before the government ordered the UK into lockdown.

    “One of a kind”

    A spokesperson for 17-24-30 said, “It’s very difficult to find the words we need to express our sadness at losing Paul, he was one of a kind.

    “Paul was a popular guy, a genuine warm-hearted soul who could be quite outspoken at times. He had a gorgeous smile and the ability to make those around him laugh with his witty observations. He will be sorely missed. Our love and condolences go out to his family and friends”.

    As studios across the UK and the US start to limit the number of new scenes they are able to share with their customers, due to the COVID-19 lockdown one studio is starting to think outside the box when it comes to fresh and new content for its thirsty fans.

    Himeros plans to shoot a couple through the windows of their home as they have sex.

    Yes, you read that right. Using a real-life couple, Himeros founder, Davey Wavey said that the studio was going to be keeping a safe distance from its models – going as far as staying behind glass in order to shoot the scene.

    He said, “We’re in a good position because we have a lot of content already filmed, but we want to keep added to the stockpile of content that we have…”

    “We’re going to have glass between us and the couple, it’s about finding creative ways…”

    He described the idea as very “voyeuristic”.

    Using a real-life couple in his local area, Davey told fans on his podcast, episode 101, that the studio was looking into new and interesting ways to keep production going.

    Davey said that he had reached out to a local gay couple, who jumped at the chance to shoot their first porn for the studio, which has garnered a fanbase for its unique approach in creating porn that is erotic, but distinct from mainstream gay porn.

    The scene is expected to be released later on in 2020.

    Sex workers and adult stars hard hit by lockdown

    Across the globe, sex workers and adult performers have found their work potential decimated as lockdown and physical distancing measures brought in by governments as a means to “flatten the curve” of new COVID-19 infections, mean that they aren’t able to work in the normal way.

    According to Porn blog StraightUpGayPorn, studios like Falcon and Nextdoor have announced that they are cutting the number of scenes they are making available to their subscribers.

    Of course, many porn stars are now working separately from studios on their own sites or via OnlyFans.

    YouTuber turned adult entertainment entrepreneur Davey Wavey has splashed out on a new home in Palm Springs, California and it is a dream home.

    He jokes, “Since most gay men seem to end up in Palm Springs eventually, I decided to get a head start.”

    The fitness guru has taken to social media to show off some incredible shots of his new home and it proves that creating thirsty content for the masses can really pay off.

    Davey Wavey founded porn studio Himeros in 2017 and it has gone from strength to strength on its mission to change mainstream porn for good.

    Davey actually “closed” on his home in Palm Springs in December of last year, but he reveals that it’s finally coming together as he adds mid-century touches to the 1 storey, flat-roofed home.

    The house, which is overlooked by rocky hills has a pool and numerous towering palm streets to give that perfect Californian-desert look. Palm Springs is a two-hour drive from Los Angeles.

    The home features an open plan living space which looks out onto a gorgeous pool through a wall of glass.

    The home also features a lot of pastel colours, including mint green for the outside areas and a baby pink for the kitchen. The living room is white with a brick fireplace and hardwood floor, covered by a thick pile cream rug.
